The Shalimar Boutique Hotel

Absolutely loved this hotel, so charming. Great staff, great facilities, room was lovely. They had two restaurants on site - one serving indoesian food, one serving italian food. I mostly ate at the Italian restaurant and the food was delicious. I was sad to leave this place. The only downside and its a small one, was that it was a little far to walk to shops and cafes but I didn't mind as I was out doing full day trips both days I stayed there. The staff were really lovely and extended check-out time by 30 mins for me so I could have a shower after I came back all dusty after my sunrise tour to mount bromo

Incredible place to stay. Clean rooms, wonderful facilities, amazing breakfast and they even give you a welcome gift! We stayed for three nights and we could have stayed a million more! Hotel is connected to an Italian restaurant, so you can even order pizza while lounging by the pool! Best place to stay in Malang!!! Kind and thoughtful staff too - all around perfect hotel!

Nothing. It was PERFECT!

The decoration is refined. The rooms are spotless, cozy and comfortable. The service is excellent. I left an item of clothing which was readied for collection on the same day. The breakfast staff go out of their way to please clients and all done with a smile. The massage therapist was also very good.

The staff was super friendly, very good breakfast, the room was spacious and the hotel itself very cozy.

Our room was connected to another room through a thin door, which is why we heard everything our neighbors were doing.

Superb location for morning walk, and finding variety of nice meals any time. The room is spacious and nicely laid out. Some staff were nice and responsive to my query when the Internet didn't work well.

It feels to me the cleaning was not thorough enough. Found strands of hair in bed, the toilet looked hardly wiped, and the glass of the shower was all water-stained. The towels and bathrobe looked tired.

We stay at this hotel every time we visit Malang (3-4 times a year). It has old worldly charm and is in a very quiet location. Has good restaurants and wonderful staff. A swimming pool is a bonus. Rooms are simple but clean and cosy.

The decor and ambience.

The bar fridge in our room wasn't working. We informed reception when we arrived. When we checked out 3 days later it was still not working. No one came to fix the fridge.

Great heritage colonial style hotel. excellent staff and breakfast.

Badroom needs a renovation soon. shower door was not closing properly and there was some wear and tear in the corners. Ac system can use a upgrade.

Incredible selection of Indonesian foods or western foods for the most amazing breakfast in the world. Beautiful colonial style surroundings and friendly staff.

the design of this hotel is nice. all the staffs are very welcoming. the beds were comfortable and the amenities were good.

the food quality could be improved. add more menu variety. the room is bland and doesn’t seem to fit the aesthetics of the hotel. the bathroom is also small.
