The Patra Bali Resort & Villas - CHSE Certified

The resort is stunning, located on a private beach. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful with booking tours for us. The pools are maintained well and the swim-up bar was a highlight of our holiday. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The resort is well maintained and staff always greeted us throughout the day. We felt very safe here as well with security surrounding the resort. I really enjoyed my stay at the Patra, I had a relaxing time at the pool most days. The staff looked after us and I will be recommending the Patra to friends and family.

The bathroom in our room was poorly designed. There was no floor drainage so our bathroom was always wet. The shower wasn't the nicest as it sprayed everywhere. This is not the resort's fault but was something to note when staying here. Our room was connected to another room by a door. The guests next door would always try and open the door at random times during the night, waking us up in a fright - again this is not the resort's fault but just something to note. A bartender was not always at the swim-up bar so we had to wait a long time to be served in the pool. Also note the location, its great being close to the airport (you can walk from the airport to save $$), but you will need transport to travel to busier areas.

More of a niggle really, no access to any water machines etc, this is problematic when you cant drink or brush your teeth with tap water. Had to keep paying for very small glass water bottles from the bar. They weren't overly expensive, however, I felt free water should have been available, as it was in all the other accommodations that I stayed in.

Great location near the airport with two lovely swimming pools along the shoreline. V friendly and helpful staff. Very large room with living room and decent bathroom.

While it's lovely to look out to sea while you're swimming in the pools, there is no beach to speak of as it has eroded away. However there is a coastal path you can walk or cycle along to find one further north.

location, spacious and open air reception, big rooms with lounge, dressing area and huge king size bed open and indoor dining areas were ambient spacious the hotel grounds are extensive with a number of swimming pools and bale as well as sunbeds, and located right on the beach, sunsets are great....watch the jets come and go...... relax

We received an upgrade to a Deluxe Suite, which was perfect for a week-long stay. The breakfast was delicious, had many choices which changed each day, and was kept well supplied throughout the sitting. Tables were quickly and continuously cleared during our breakfast. Although only one restaurant was functioning during our stay, we enjoyed several evening meals there. It will be even better, I am sure, when the upgrade to the Italian restaurant is completed. The pools were beautiful and we enjoyed many an hour in and around them in the shade bures. The beds were very comfortable and extra pillows were provided when we requested them. The staff were very attentive, particular in regard to Robert's 85th birthday, presenting him with a cake and card signed by them.

Initially disappointed that all the restaurants were not functioning. The fridge was not working despite a telephone request. The bathroom's would benefit from air fresheners. The air conditioner was noisy

It was very centrally located. The resort was beautiful and very relaxing. The buffet breakfast was superb and delicious. The staff were very welcoming, respectful and very helpful. The room was beautiful, very clean and the little connected balcony very relaxing. This property came highly recommended and it didn’t disappoint.

The room had a lot of mosquitoes in it at night even though the room was closed up. It might help to have something for guests to spray the room with before going to bed and something on the balcony to repel the mosquitoes. It made it difficult to go to sleep and we had to get up and spray our skin with mosquito repellent just to go to sleep. I sat in bed and killed over 20 mosquitoes before I went to sleep. We also could hear the people next door talking loudly at 11pm, just as we had started to fall asleep. This would be due to noise travelling through a connecting door in the room.

certainly value for money. magnificent rooms, the 3 pools were so clean, the cleanest we have seen in Bali. The gardens were immaculate. Even though the hotel is next to the airport you can hardly hear the airplanes. . It’s a beautiful hotel

the food was a let down there. we had lamb satay and it was in eatable.it was actually really bad and the creme brûlée was just egg custard as they forgot to put the sugar on top and caramelise. . Because the hotel is a little bit out of the way with no shop near to buy drinks etc so if the hotel had a shop that would be of some benefit I think.

Upgraded on checkin, that was very nice!! we always enjoy the beautiful property and amazing pools coupled w/ beach access right in front of hotel! We really enjoyed the quietness of the property and the care keeping it beautiful from the staff. Our villa was very comfortable and cozy - great access, but also tucked in it's own little corner.

Limited breakfast options - no bacon anymore. Dinner plates from room service in villa next door were outside on the porch for 3 days straight, unclaimed. Access via road is convoluted due to airport parking and exit roads.

Nice pool, dinner in the restaurant was amazingly good

the breakfast was cold and only one chef with two pans, so you would have to wait a long time. It's quite hard to find the way on the park, better signs would help. and when checking in I had to wait for a long time until the reservation was checked. That would have been a good time to get some extra information about checkout, breakfast, or just some casual talk. but the girl only waited and stared. so I just started asking questions to get the info I needed about the hotel. it didn't feel very welcoming.

The gardens, pool and villa were all beautiful and the buffet breakfast was excellent - great options for westerners, Asians, Middle Easterners and Europeans. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Our stay was totally relaxing and comfortable and the proximity to the airport was a gift.

We noticed mould on some cement structures in the gardens, which could cause problems for people with mould allergies (not us fortunately).
