Risata Bali Resort & Spa

Older style Bali resort - which i prefer as everything is larger and well set out. Great grounds and gardens are very relaxing. Large Pool maintained well. Room Jnr Suite is large - 2 separate rooms - bed and then living / dining. 2 bathrooms. Balcony with Garden views relaxing. Great spot, close to the beach. Segara chinese/indo restaurant at the end of the street (near the roundabout) is a must-try. The Internet is a bit slow and tricky at times but gets there in the end. Very friendly staff. Relaxing place that is perfect for a chilled getaway. Excellent value for money. Will stay again. Highly recommend.

In great location in one of my favorite areas of Bali. Good bar and lounge on premises, with lots of options for dining within a few hundred feet. Very close to a nice beach, easy airport access, great massage options. Excellent staff. There were a couple small glitches, and they were corrected promptly. I stayed the first night for business. I returned later for three additional nights because I liked the place.

Over priced wine. And only available by the bottle. That shouldn't knocked a whole point off the score here, but whatever. Hope they correct it.

BF buffet was good, the pool lovely, our room was nice but we had to get the a/c looked at 4 times, it wasn't very good in the living area. The fridge broke down and alot of our food went to waste. We were given 2 bf complimentary (we requested that) as compensation but then the restaurant staff didn't keep record and said we'd used both when we had only used 1, not very nice. Our safe broke and wasn't replaced, wifi wasn't strong in our room. My husband got an electric shock from the lamp in the living area, no compensation!!

Staff were wonderful and went out of their way to serve and help with anything. Very friendly and happy. Loved the quietness and privacy. Cool lush tropical gardens. Pool clear and clean.

Unfortunately pool bar wasn't operating, disappointed no alcohol available from inside bar either (only beer and soft drinks). Breakfast was nice but minimal and same every morning. Our friends received an in room fruit basket (we did not get one). Our bathroom also had some water damage.

Staff as usual are amazing, hotel is unfortunately becoming a bit dated and in need of renovations but non the less is suitable. Pool is huge, the grounds and gardens are spectacular, you wouldn't know you are 50 meter's from a main street. Once you step passed the Foyer you step into a tropical oasis. we have stayed multiple times over the past 6 years and enjoy every visit

Unfortunately the Risata attracts a large contingency of RUDE , Arrogant Indian clientele whom treat all guests and staff with disrespect. Only advantage is after bfast they leave the hotel and do tours all-day. If it wasn't for this we wouldn't stay at Risata at all !

Included breakfast was very good, the room was fairly good for 1 night. Great location next to the airport, since we're using it to break up a longer flight. Convenience stores right across the street. Pool was fun, our toddler had a great time playing with the pool noodles.

I thought the suite we selected had a wall separating the room and the living room, so we could put our child to bed and stay up in the living room, but our suite had an open wall so we all had to have lights out at the same time. Playground on-premise was not maintained very well so our child couldn't play on it safely. Our AC was dripping, we could have gotten it fixed fairly quickly but since we were only staying 1 night it was not an issue.

Room was large and comfortable, cleaning staff were exceptional and cleaned daily with fresh linens and towels. Staff were exceptional, always helpful and assisted when needed with smile and very good attitude. Was very surprised by a birthday message and free pancakes on my birthday at the resort. will definitely stay here again.

There was a huge amount of beautiful flora around the property but when it rained (every evening) the mosquitoes came out in droves, close to the end of my stay staff were spraying the areas around the rooms to remove mosquitoes which was great but I wish they started doing this earlier in my stay.

Having the stayed at the Risata many times over 12 years I have come to expect consistent customer service and a warm welcome and hospitality given by all of the staff from the cleaner, to the pool guy, to the restaurant and reception desk. It's like coming home.

The only thing that is challenging is the hotel policy of waiting for staff to check the room when checking out. I understand the reason for this policy but in my case I have been in a hurry to get to the airport to catch a flight and had to wait 10-15 minutes. I saw this happen to another guest who ended up throwing his card key across the desk and walking out. Given there isn't any chargeable room items and mini-bar it is probably a policy, on balance, that does more harm than good.

We like the location having stayed at the Risata some years ago. The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained every day. The room was a good size with good a/c. The pool is lovely with ample room for a swim or just relax in it with plenty of lounge chairs.

It was a pity the swim up bar was not manned, but understandable as the resort was not full and therefore not viable to have a staff member there. We had some noisy guests move in above our rooms but a call to reception seemed to help.
