Bakung Beach Resort

Location to beach , quiet area , great stalls up and down the road out front, close to mall for supermarket, great locals.Had a great 3 weeks , rented motorcycle from across the road and covered 400klms seeing different locations the be back into my air con room to rest before heading out for dinner 😁

Personally I liked the whole experience, even given the fact it had changed in the 43 years since I was last there, so has the world . Lucky to meet a great bunch of locals as well

Very kind and pleasant staff, for breakfast you get all you need including tastiest papaya, relaxing and real Balinese atmosphere by the pool, garden makes it complete you feel yourself a part of this beautiful tropical island world. I’ve got that peace of mind I was searching for. You have everything around: beach is walking distance, shopping mall with supermarket, ATM and a variety of souvenirs is 1 min walk, the airport is 10 min drive which matter for me considering typical traffic

pretty quiet place but close to Main Street. lots of food and shopping options nearby. easy access to beach. nice pool.

bathroom door knob broke and I got stuck in the bathroom for 2.5 hours trying to get out. shower was iffy and sprayed water more around the bathroom than on me. food options at restaurant is iffy and no pool bar despite having one built

This is an older style hotel in a fabulous location with very generous size rooms and balcony. The cheap tariff reflects that the rooms need some TLC, but are very clean and adequately furnished. The grounds, pool, dining room and common area, together with grounds were beautifully maintained. And staff are just so well-mannered and helpful!

The mattress on my bed was way past replacement date. Many hotels in Bali only have a sheet on the mattress and and a doona on top. This was so hot, even with the aircon on very low temperature. A top sheet and light blanket would have been good and saved on electricity. Their "sister" hotel does this and I had a great night's sleep there.

I stayed many times during my travels in Indonesia and it’s perfectly located close enough to walk to the airport but still close to many nice restaurants and the beach. the gardens and pool also make it feel like you could be somewhere far quieter than kuta and there was never any noise to stop me sleeping before flights. the rooms are very spacious and they also do bag storage and the staff are excellent at helping with any issues. many times I extended my stay and sometimes it may have said fully booked online but after speaking to the staff they were often able to offer me a room regardless. the pool is also a good size and nice for relaxing around. really good value for money and I would definitely stay again when back in bali. it became like my second home after repeat visits during my two month visit to Indonesia.

could be more sun beds in the shady garden area as well as round the pool but that’s a very minor point.

The hotel is at the centre of Kuta making everything convenient. They have very friendly staff.

Rooms are just average but cheaper too. So not a big deal for the people who want to save on hotel expenses and spend more on adventure, like we did.

Staff were excellent, pool was awesome, just don't open eyes under water very chlorinated.. breakfast good. Mostly rice noodles potatoes indo sausage, sometimes mushroom and tomato, eggs of your choice made fresh. Toast coffee, tea, juice and 2 different fruit. Gardens traditional bali style. Big aircon rooms. Basic kettle. TV. Beds comfy firm mattress.

Water not very hot at peak shower times. Tv reception bit fuzzy.l

The rooms were clean and the hot water in the shower was excellent. The location is amazing, a 3 minutes walk to the beach, a shopping mall literally next door, and many shops and restaurants nearby. The swimming pool was nice and the buffet-style breakfast served in their restaurant was amazing. The staff is also really friendly and helpful, they make you feel welcome straight away! Also, the airport is a really short drive - like 10 min! Overall, our experience at Bakung Beach resort was enjoyable.

The place may appear to be slightly worn out, but it did not affect our stay as it was clean and comfortable!
