I love how big the room is. It is in a lovely area, and a short walk from public transport. I quite enjoyed the grilled vegetables beside the scrambled egg in the morning, and the jasmine green tea with some honey. My room was warm enough without the heating on, but it did make some noise once turned on.

There was an unpleasant smell in my room sometimes, but opening the window for a short time helped. The mould in the shower seems to be something every hotel I stayed in is struggling with, as silicon can not be cleaned only replaced. I didn't like the design of the shower as the water did not really flow towards the drain, soI was constantly wondering when the water will flow out of the shower onto the bathroom floor (it didn't 😉). Also the carpet needs a proper wet cleaning to remove staines. The housekeeper was kind enough to at least hoover it every day, thank you. The pillows were a bit bumpy for my taste and the towels a bit rough, but it wasn't so bad. I would happily return in spite of it all (with the discounted - minus 28% - rate I had).

The breakfast was exceptional. The addition o lecso is a brilliant choice, as it is both traditional Hungarian and vegan! Not many hotels have a vegan option other than a few veggies for breakfast, this one does. The location was also good, it was our first time on the Buda side of the city and we had everything we needed within walking distance. Across the street there are very good restaurants and cafes, such as Zerge and Horgásztanya fish restaurant. Also, the reataurant right in the hotel looked very good, but we didn't try. We were offered a free room upgrade, so that's always a nice addition. The room was spacious enough and offered some closet space to put away clothes, more than enough for a weekend. The premises are also very beautiful, the monastery is a good combination of both historical feel and modern equipment. We also encountered no kids, so this made the stay more pleasant. The parking is OK, 20e for a night seems about right, they even let us keep the car parked for a couple of hours after checkout, so that we can go for a lunch and so a bit of sightseeing.

Can't think of anything, really, and I'm trying hard. Some historical hotels suffer from being too old, and are in need of a restoration, an old carpet here, occasional stench there, worn out handles, squeaky windows, etc, but this one doesn't, It really is perfect!

I was in this Hotel few times and I will come back when I will visit Budapest again for pleasure or business. Privet Parking. Easy to fined. Clean Room, excellent bed, quiet area, the Staff very professional, friendly, helpful and very good English speaking. Andrea on the reception and all the other staff were great. Breakfast was very good , more vegetarian optioned would be welcome. Tea and coffee maker in the room complementary. Walking distant from the Castle, the Royal palace, the Lions bridge and the Center. Public Transportation very accessible and walking distance from the Hotel. In the Terace restaurant 17:30-22:30) you can have one of the best Beef grills in Budapest. Must visit the restaurant (from 1955) cross the road from the hotel were you must taste the best fish soups and fish optioned in Budapest. Also you can get the best Sparangus cream soup, Sparangus salad, Sparangus with Salmon and stuffed Chechen breast with Sparangus, the staff was great, you can pay with credit cards or cash.

Really great place. Nice welcome at reception. We got a cheap deal so ended up (according to the fire plan) in one of the smallest rooms. But this was more than adequate with it's high ceilings, huge window and even a view of the river. The bed was also huge. Nice bathroom. There was a kettle for making tea and coffee. Breakfast was good. It's a pleasant 25 minute walk into the centre of town, but there's a good selection of restaurants near to the hotel if you don't want to go back into town in the evening. There are steps leading up to the Fisherman's Bastion just behind the hotel.

If I'm being picky, the mattress was a bit hard to my taste and they need to find a better way to keep the food hot at the breakfast buffet.

All the people who work in this hotel are kind, professional and helpful, it's very important to have such a good assistance in the city where you've never been before and where not everyone speaks English. We thank all the personal. The aria is very peaceful, there is atmosphere of small city although it stays practically in the city center. The restaurant is AMAZING, elaborated cuisine but prices are reasonable and quality and quantity is excellent. There are many interesting restaurants and bars around. I advise this place from all my heart and we will stay here next time. Very well connected, it's also important

Everything was fine

Reception staff are super nice and always happy to help. Hotel is located in "Buda" side which is quieter than "Pest". A few restaurants around the hotel, mini market just in front of the hotel and a big supermarket "Spar" just 5 mins walk. The closest bus station is Clark Adam stn. Room is clean and size was good compared to European standards, clean fresh bed sheets and towels. 15 mins walk to the famous Buda castle and Matthias Church but you would need to go upward with your walk.

Many attractions are actually on the "Pest" side including famous square, museums and eating places. So I had to walk through the Chain bridge to reach Pest side which can take 20 mins from the hotel (although it is always nice to cross the bridge and enjoy the Danube view). So, if you are looking for a hotel to enjoy nightlife, attractions and be part of the crowd then you should stay in Pest side. Breakfast is good but limited options and would like to see this improved.

We had a very nice stay at this Hotel, beautiful building, great restoration project, nice friendly and helpful staff. This place has a very good location, the Danube is just around the corner with great views, nice restaurants in the area (didn't try those in the hotel- next time), 24h mini market just across the street. Breakfast was ok, but there was something missing, the warm buffet could have more options, and definitely a better quality of juices (those available are from a machine that mixes concentrate with water, the result is awful, more suitable for low cost B&B 1*/2* hotel).

Awful orange juice for breakfast. Lack of towel hanger next to shower in the bathroom. Cleanliness could be improved; spider net under the ceiling (high ceilings), details in the bathroom (black mold stains on silicone etc.)

Location is great, super convenient also for visiting Pest side as it is very close to chain bridge. The room was very clean, really quiet with silence and all the needed comforts. Filtered water and coffee/tea were a pleasant surprise in our room. Breakfast was my best! Super delicious with plenty of choices. Staff was polite and available for any request. Parking was safe and convenient I would choose this hotel again and again, I totally recommend it

There was no somewhere in the hotel a shared space/room to relax, to drink a wine and to have a conversation. It was the only thing that I miss in this hotel. Everything else was perfect

Room size was excellent with good storage space. Comfy bed and linen. Good air conditioning. Quiet room. Bathroom was good and the shower had reasonable power to it. Breakfast had a good selection and different things each day. On the last day we had to leave very early and we’re provided with a good packed breakfast. Tram was a couple of mins away with easy connections to other areas of Budapest. We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s not in the huddle and bustle of pest as it’s on the buda side but was really easy to get to the pest side and all the attractions we wanted to get to. There are eateries in the area as well. Our room was very spacious and fairly recently renovated I would have thought. Would recommend for a stay in Budapest and would definitely stay again.

We stayed in a Monastery...what's not to love! A beautiful old building repurposed and in a fantastic location. Just Below the Fisherman's Bastion, and a quick walk/bike ride to the Chain Bridge and Funicular. The breakfast room is beautiful and is also a restaurant at night. Rooms are spacious with original tall windows. We were right above the entrance on the main road and the room was so quiet we couldn't hear any noise. Rooms have AC and a stocked mini fridge.

The parking lot in front is public and must be paid before check in...the parking police watch it every second of the day, so be aware. The private parking lot in the back is secure, but you do have to ask them to open the gate to access...there is no back access to the parking lot. Otherwise, being on the Buda side allowed for beautiful nighttime views of Parliment, The Charles Bridge, and other sights along the Danube.
