very friendly staff happy to help with good recommendations and reservations, amazing breakfast, good location, great wine at reception as a welcome drink and whenever you ask ;)

some rooms go to Main Street which is a bit noisy. some go to the side street which should be fine but there’s currently builders on a scaffold starting 7am. courtyard it probably best although you’ll be on same level as the courtyard terrace.

The staff were absolutely wonderful, very warming and welcoming whenever you come in. First time we came to Budapest, and on asking for recommendations for places to eat, we were provided with a list covering a A4 piece of paper of personal recommendations for anything and everything, bars, cafes, Italian, Hungarian. The room was amazing, very modern, very clean throughout, and a minibar!!! Which came in handy when you just needed a drink, we wrote a list on what we had as they don’t operate a ‘pressure plate’ system so it’s all on honesty I believe. Prices are very reasonable as well! Tea and coffee / expresso pods etc are provided. One thing I would say is, if you ever need more of anything as only 2 pods are provided then just simply ask reception and they will give you more! Overall a wonderful Christmas city break!

The room was amazing, we took superior room and it exceeded expectations as per space, amazing bath corner, L’Ocitanne toiletry. All the staff from Albert, lovely girl with blue eyes at the reception were the nicest and caring people I ever met at the hotel. The breakfast requires improvement as per my mum’s taste, but you get 1st class location a 15 mins walk to Parliament, in a very clean and beautiful district, 5 mins walk to St. Itzvan basilica, and a very moderate price, I believe it’s a reasonable good breakfast. Everything else exceeded expectations!

Nothing.

Lots to like. Nice modern room with good storage and strong shower. Coffee machine in room. Modern aircon controls. Superb value for money. Breakfast was more than good enough, thoughtful staff and nice welcome. Location was useful though somewhere closer to the confluence of the underground lines would have been marginally better. Some good restaurants and bars nearby. Hotel is on a main road but no noise or issues.

Room was a bit small, but we knew it would be. Also not a bad point but note that this place doesn't really feel like a hotel with foyer, bar, facilities etc. Otherwise, all great. We'd visit again.

In Budapest, I was with my son for the first time. We stayed at this hotel for 4 days (room 133). I chose the hotel because of its location, proximity to the train station, and all the attractions. The hotel is very good. The room was spacious, with a large and comfortable bed, and a big shower. There was a kettle, a coffee machine, and a refrigerator in the room. There's no iron in the room, but you can ask for it at the reception, and they'll bring it to your room. The room was cleaned every day. The staff is polite, everything is on a high level. The breakfast was a buffet. Excellent hotel, I recommend it to everyone.

Hotel Mera is located in the 6th district of Budapest, in the very center. The price corresponds to the quality. Everything in the hotel is very neat and clean. The staff is very friendly (especially the receptionist Victoria Gal, who, in addition to kindness, also speaks three languages - English, German and Hungarian). All employees show great attention and care to you, which gives you the opportunity not to get lost in the hotel and at the same time, it does not violate the boundaries of your privacy. The room feels like you are in another fairy-tale world. The interior, combined with the work of the staff, gives you a feeling of comfort and coziness. We recommend Hotel Mera to everyone.

Only one thing is infuriating - that the reviews are only 9.2 points, not 10.

it’s a beautiful hotel in the close proximity to main attractions. we loved the design of the place - what a bright, fresh decor! Everything is exactly like in the pictures. comfortable space, high ceilings, great mix of old and new. champagne for breakfast. but most of all, the reception staff!!! girls from reception were the nicest, most polite, friendly, smiling people ever. on check in and check out they were caring and welcoming, we really felt like we are expected guests, not just clients. I hope the boss of the hotel reads it and appreciate those girls appropriately.

the only think which was not absolutely perfect was a bit crowded breakfast restaurant- but it was raining so outside sitting couldn’t be used. this is the only think in otherwise perfect hotel.

The friendliness of the staff and general cleanliness. Location was perfectly central. Good room temperature.

Although not listed I thought there would be a small bar or some room service available even if it was minimal. This is literally a room only hotel with a breakfast room only and a small minibar option. Was quite surprised to have zero option for and additional food or drink all be it limited.

It is a perfect place to stay within the budget. Room sizes are bigger than the normal hotels in any part of Europe. It's the heart of the city center with a few min(2 to 4 min) distance the bus, metro stops are there along with nice restaurants. Check-in and check out are super cool, and the reception girl is pretty helpful. And welcome wine is just toppings on the cake. They have upgraded my room and arranged a meter taxi for us to reach the station and arranged a packed breakfast for early morning train. . I stayed previois day at Hampton by the Hilton hotel near to this hotel which was arranged by the travel company and stayed one night extra by myself to spend one more day in Budapest and I must say it's almost 40% lower than the Hilton and I didn't miss anything. I highly recommend this hotel for all short of travelers. .

There is nothing to share. God luck team keep up the good work.

The lady that checked us in was welcoming; and went out of her way to help us with parking, getting to our rooms, and help with travel plans with the tour bus. The hotel is beautifully done with eveything you need. The location is perfect to walk to restaurants and sites such as Parliament and St. Stephen's church. We felt safe in the area.

There is no parking available. Parking on the street is possible and inexpensive but has to be renewed every 3 hours (clearly no fault of the hotel). Pay attention to whether or not breakfast is included when you book. Will add 12 euro per person if not. It is a good breakfast and worth the price though!
