- the view on the terrace at the 10th level is absolutely magnificent (you can see the Parliament, the Basilica, the Castle) - the room is spacious - good breakfast - good WiFi - excellent location for any sightseeing options, good restaurants or simply walking in the city

- during summer the heat on the terrace is extremely high, thus preventing you from spending too much time over there, which truly is a pity, a big umbrella placed over there would be great! - there is no natural light in the bathroom which is also a pity because the views no longer exist, practically the huge window is completely covered - the A/C system is rather old and it could definitely use improvements throughout the room - I have been visiting this hotel during the last 2 years (for work during those times) and I could see the difference with the breakfast, the options that you have mainly. this time I have seen somehow a lil bit of decline, but maybe it is due to the very high number of tourists in the hotel and the increasing inflation which is also visible in Hungary

Medos hotel really met our expectations. What amazed us significantly was the kindness and professionalism of the breakfast lounge staff which made us feel like being in a michelin-star restaurant. What is also worth mentioning is the great location of the hotel as it is located 2 minutes away from one of the main streets in Budapest, close to the Oktogon metro station and Nyugati train station. The hotel also offers a luggage room and a well furnished lobby. Useful accessories such as corkscrew and glasses can be found at the reception, which is also a massive advantage of Medos.

The variety of food for breakfast wasn't wide enough. We also didn't like the fact, that there were two pipes of sewage system hanging from the ceiling in our bathroom. As a consequence, an unpleasant smell could have been smelled in our toilet.

We had a large apartment, bigger than expected. Two separate bedrooms with very comfortable beds ans plenty of storage room. Living room with a TV and refrigerator. Excellent breakfast. The location is just perfect, close to the subway and the Nyugat train station. Plenty of restaurants and a 24/7 convenient store are in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. An excellent wine shop is just across the street.

Our room was next to the staff room and we could hear the staff talking from early in the morning. There was quite some noise in the street outside in the evening, but that was expected with the location in the center of the town. The facilities were really clean, but the bathroom needs a refurbishment, especially the silicone in the corners.

I liked that it was close to the city center and to the metro station. It had a private parking to which we paid 20€. We only stayed one night and were pretty pleased with our stay. I enjoyed the building and the old feeling it has. Also the windows were very big and had a nice feeling to it.

The flooring was reaaaally squeaky and if you had to go to the bathroom at night, your partner will definitely hear you. I enjoyed the looking of the flooring, but I believe something should be done about the sounds it makes. Also, the ventilation was also loud so if you are a light sleeper, it will definitely bother you.

We had a room with a balcony, and one of the evenings, we ordered into the hotel after a long, tiring day of sightseeing, and had the food out on the balcony while taking in the view of the city. It was a lovely moment. The room was very spacious and we had a 'sitting room' as well to watch the television if we wanted. We were also able to leave out luggage in the hotel in their storage area while we explored the city before going to the airport later in the afternoon. Reception is also 24hr.

Just to be aware, there is no bar or restaurant in the hotel, but there is plenty of places to eat near by so this was not an issue.

Good location, close to Oktogon metro station. Grocery stores, fast foods, bars and restaurants nearby. Room was spacious, bathroom standard with a shower. Wifi worked very well. I had a desk in my room so it was quite convinient to work from the room. Breakfast tasty with variety of food, rather monotonous in case of a longer stay.

Mattress was quite hard in my opinion, but still the bed was large. I did not have breakfast included so had to approach the front desk and pay each morning. It was not possible to pay either upfront for a few days or at the end of the stay. Fun fact: they charge for breakfast not in HUF but in EUR.

The hotel is in a perfect location between Nyugati train station and Basilica. The opera is nearby and if you choose a room with balcony, you will have beautiful view on the Joaki ter. And people watching is something you can do while sipping a glass of wine. There is a fridge in the room, which comes in handy in the summer. Parliament is also within walking distance. On the other hand - you can use public transportation and Oktogon station is a few meters away. For experiencing beer/local crowd - Kiadó Kocsma is actually visible from balcony. Freindly staff. Definitely would return.

Hotel is located in a very good spot on Budapest map. You can reach most of important places within a 30 minutes walk. For further destination you have a few options of public transport nearby. We got a room for 2 people, which was clean and nice. Bed was extremely comfortable. We also had an option to get a higher standard room. Didn't take it this time, but it was good to have such possibility. Hotel offers breakfast and it is really worth to take. The food served was really tasty and there was a lot of things to choose from even in last hours of breakfast time. Going back to the location of the hotel it is located next to the pretty, small street with many restaurants and cafes. Overall I'm very satisfied and I surely recommend stay at Medos Hotel.

The location is great, city centre, close to the underground station ( about 3mins walk) and several bus stations. it is very convenient to visit any attractions in Budapest. The hotel room is incredible clean and tidy! The room is spacious with brilliant windows and sunlights. Facilities simple but useful. You just get everything you need in a hotel. The room has air conditioning and it works well, which should be a great advantage during this hot summer time. The bed is extremely comfortable. I personally love it! The shower is also great! The breakfast is incredible delicious. The fried eggs and sausages are delicious. I love it. There are many type of bread you can choose, all are delicious!! The staffs in the hotel are all nice and friendly. Thank you very much for providing this comfortable and relaxing staying experiences. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Budapest!

The hotel is in a very convenient location for exploring the city, close to all transport. It is close to a main boulevard, but there is a garden in front of it, which isolates it from the street noise. The rooms are large, with beautiful windows and a comfortable bed. The breakfast offers a wide enough variety of food and drinks. Rooms have blackout curtains and air conditioning. The reception staff is extremely friendly and responsive - giving detailed directions for good restaurants, suitable transport and routes. There are many places to eat or have icecream, refreshing drinks and cocktails in the area. On the day of departure, we received the breakfast in a package, due to our early check-out.

The floor in the living room and hallway is parquet, which creaks in places and the bathroom door was slightly swept and made a noise when opened. The carpets in the bedrooms need refreshing.
