Andrassy Thai Hotel

Perfect location: one of the fashion streets of Budapest with cafes and boutiques, metro is right here, 20m from entrance. Express bus (101E) to the airport is 300m away. Good size of the room, helpful and friendly staff. Atmospheric house of 19 century.

Not sound proof at all, could hear every word, snoring and other sounds of the neighbour. Old dirty carpet floor needs to be replaced, as well as the table surface. Shortcomings don't overweigh advantages though.

Everything was fabulous, the location is very easy to find ( only a couple of minutes walking distance from Deak Ferenc Tear subway station) the entrance is secured by a code, the entrance is spectacular, such beautiful architecture. The building had an elevator, no problem getting ones luggage up to the first floor. The Andrassy Ut Boulevard is worth a stroll at any time of day or night. Close to the opera and all types of restaurants & stylish cafes & bars. I resided in the Red Thai Style decorated room, and it was lovely. Very clean, super quiet, a comfortable bed, great atmosphere, professional & very friendly staff, great service all round. The room had coffee/ tea making facilities, good hot shower , a safe in the room. I can only highly recommend the Andrassy Thai Hotel and will be back for sure.

Good location close to everything bar night life, restaurants, Christmas market and also take about 20-30 minutes to walk to Buda Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion ,St. Stephen’s Bacilica , easy from the airport by bus E100 and from the bus stop in the city centre only walk 5 minutes to the hotel. Can’t hear any noise! The room is nice and clean but the carpet look a bit old but that’s okay. Highly recommend for first time visit Budapest. Staff very nice . 24 hrs reception and give you all information whatever you need .Definitely go back stay again

No curtains or something for the shower

The location is excellent - about 3 mins walk from the Deak Ferenc interchange where the airport bus terminates, where several buses/trams/metro lines interconnect and is adjacent to a stop on Metro line 1 as well. it's 5 mins walk from the opera (or take line 1), 10 mins walk from Oktagon (nice restaurants, a little less touristy than the ones near St Stephens) (or take line 1), it's maybe 10 mins walk to parliament, 2 mins to St Stephens. The no 16 bus goes from here over the river to the castle. the no 47 tram goes from here to the national museum, the main market, over the river to the Gellert baths. (the no 1 metro goes to the szechenyi baths). The staff were endlessly helpful - answered all questions and were happy to come up with good suggestions. The hotel is on the first floor of one of the grand buildings on Andrassy - entered through magnificent wrought iron gates into a high ceilinged corridor. As the building is shared with other occupants the stairwell door is secured with a keypad. The stairwell is also imposing - like a film set of Amadeus or something. The rooms were generously sized, very clean and the bed one of the most comfortable I've slept on recently in a hotel.

I liked everything but ... the shower curtain was a little short so a lot of the bathroom floor got wet and slippery as the shower in our room was hand held, and the beds were on a platform so there was a step down to the bathroom which one had to remember in the night; we slept with the window open (although there was an a/c option) and Andrassy is quite a busy road but there are courtyard-facing rooms too. And nobody in a wheelchair could use this hotel as there is a step up to the front door, and an internal step although there is a wheelchair ramp covering the short flight of steps to the lift.

It's in a historical building, so it feels really great being there, considering you're in the center of such a historical city. High ceilings are great, they make everything feel spacy and rooms are actually fairly big too, much bigger than most of other hotels! The idea of Thai hotel is very interesting too, considering the location, and I really liked the decorations. Lady at the reception was amazing! Extremely friendly, talkative and she gave me great tips what to visit in Budapest! Wi-fi was fairly fast and I had no connection issues. There is also a kettle in the room, and you have couple of cups there ready, with bags of instant coffee and tea with honey. Bathroom is made in a "wet room" style, which was actually quite interesting, since I was never using a bathroom like that. I should also mention that the price for this hotel is actually fairly low compared to others, so, this is definitely a bargain and great value for money!

It's in a historical building, which means that windows are not great at filtering noise out (and people around know how to party). And there was a lot of noice early in the morning too. Main doors do not fit the door frame perfectly, which means that there were couple of spaces between doors and door frame where you could see through into the hallway a little bit. That wouldn't be a big issue, but lights in the hallway are always on, which means light shining through and your room always being lit up slightly even at midnight. So, maybe pack some ear plugs and eye mask if you want quality sleep. Wet room bathroom is probably not for everybody.

We stayed here for the Hungary GP and loved it. Had heard it was hard to find and enter as the hotel is located in a building comprising of other companies but there was a sign above the street right outside the main door and there were clear instructions on how to get in and where the check in was located. The room was really nice, clean and very comfortable beds. The room theming was really nice. Staff on reception were lovely and very helpful. The bathroom is a wet room set up and the water does go all over the floor but it didn’t cause any issues for us.

The only negative I had was the walls are very thin so you could here other guests in the hallway and noise from outside but once I fell to sleep I was asleep until the morning.

I would have liked to have breakfast included in my price But it was good there was a small fridge ,kettle and they were adding every day tea coffee water for us to use Also since we were a couple we would have liked to have more towels but still when we asked for they provided them with no hesitation

The location is amazing right in front of St Stephen’s Basilica and walkable to most of the attractions surrounded by good eateries, convenience stores and pharmacies. Victoria and Micheal were awesome and very helpful, gave us some very good tips on the attractions and getting there from the hotel and also upgraded us to a nice room with a great. Jew as soon as it got vacated. The look and feel of the hotel and building old style rustic was great. Tom Yum Thai restaurant has great Thai food with all Thai Chefs and the food was absolutely delicious- we tried Fish cakes, Chicken Ping Curry, Thai fried rice and pad Thai

Nothing as such to mention

The location and the staff were fantastic. The room, bathroom, and bed were a good size. The view of the Basilica was wonderful and how close we were to the metro was very convenient.

There wasn't really anywhere to put clothes away except on some glass shelves. It would be nice to have some cupboard space. The shower wasn't in a position where we could stand and half a shower. We had to more like hose ourselves down, which is a bit off a put off.
