Augsburg Hotel Sonnenhof

The staff is very helpful, friendly and makes you feel very welcome. Doesn't matter, at the reception, in the restaurant during breakfast, the cleaning staff, everybody has a smile on their face and this creates a warm atmosphere. The room we had was very big, with a lounge area, double balcony and last but not least, with a very spacious shower. The rain shower is great. It is as if you are standing under a waterfall! Not only is the breakfast of super good quality and wide choice, the views from the resaturant on the top floor are also nice. You can even sit outside on the roof terrace. Also there is lot's of parking space. On the evening when we arrived we went next door to the "Rosi's" restaurant at the Aral Truck stop. The food there is great! Really worth a visit, even when you arrive late, they are open till late at nioght. (Not sure if it is a 24/7)

We regret that we did not stay longer!

Ideal, affordable hotel for stayover not to visit to lovely city of Augsburg. Situated close to main highway, in an industrial area, offering good value for money. Rooms with all the amenities you need, comfy bed and a small selection of drinks in the mini bar included in the room rate.

Selection of meals in restaurant pretty poor. Staff very friendly though, service quick but selection could be better. Great room, great bathroom, but when we checked in at 7PM we discovered that housekeeping forgot to place towels in the bathroom. After a call they quickly delivered towels to the room.

The room was good and big, comfy beds and clean bathroom. We were able to check in a little bit earlier which was great because we had a long day. The breakfast was really great with a lot of options. The staff was also really nice.

We chose the hotel because there was a restaurant inside, so we didn't had to go outside to eat. But it seemed that it was closed during our stay. We had to eat at a small restaurant that belonged at a gas station, a little walk from the hotel.

A value for money hotel at a convinient location. The hotel is pretty new. The room was spacy, comfortable and equipped with everything you might need! The staff was attentive and helpful. The breakfast was above our expectations: there were a lot of tasty things on offer, including omlets and other dishes to your taste.

Offerings in the restaurant were limited to pizzas, burgers etc. In Bavaria we expected some local sausages, that we knew to be very tasty, but there were none on offer.

Great, as usual, the gym is fantastic. Rooms clean and comfortable, possibility to go for a run in quiet area around the hotel, plenty of free parking space

Compared to my previous stay, the restaurant has undergone a change, and not for the better. It has been taken over by a coffee company and the menu has become extremely reduced, with too many sweet things and too few choices of appetizers and main courses. Moreover, waitresses seem to be terrified by the possibility to change any of the menu dishes even slightly, as if you were in a fast-food or as if the dishes were pre-prepared

Modern Hotel , really nice and spacious room with a nice balcony . Breakfast was very good . Receptionist was also helpful and nice . Wifi was fast .

The location is in an industrial area far away from downtown . Room 211 looking towards highway , there was some highway noise to be heard . Sauna has been closed due to energy saving ( total bs) . The choice of food at the dinner in the restaurant was a disappointment.

Hotel looks new, fresh and modern. Rooms are very well equipped, free of charge mini-bar, unforgettable breakfast till 1 pm ! on weekends

pets are not allowed. This is not typical for the EU, it was our fault that we missed this information, but it was a big disappointment, we had to book another room in another hotel nearby and my husband spent the night here with our dog.

Large family room on the 4th floor. Super clean and great bed. Wonderful balcony with nice chairs and tables. Free mini bar. Fantastic breakfast ;) strongly recommend!

The really only thing which was not so Superb was the coffee in the morning. There is a lot of other stuff to drink and with milk the coffee is okay. But the espresso is quite a challenge ;)

Although next a busy road, the room was (with doors closed) very quite. Specious room, big bathroom. Such comfortable beds. Nice little mini fridge with soms free drinks.

Bit difficult to get WiFi working on laptop, and not the fastest WiFi, but it worked. When checking out, staff asked me to leave a review on Booking. My first time a hotel or B&B asks for that...

Everything perfect. Special mention for the Romanian woman at the breakfast desk, very professional and kind.

Difficulty in heating regulations (too hot) and unusual light switch.
