Parkhotel Schmid

Very convenient location, close to motorway. Great breakfast buffet and great facilities for children - both in- and outside. The staff were helpful, we left some jackets behind by the playground, phoned the reception once we realised this, and they kindly collected them for us and kept them till our return 2 weeks later. Beautiful garden. Rooms were big enough and comfortable. The spa is also very nice.

The only inconvenience was when taking a shower, water was flowing out - I believe this is due to a flaw in the design of the shower/toilet pod, the sliding glass door does not insulate fully against water leakage.

Clean, employees, quiet, excellent breakfast (fruits, salmon,...), swimming pool, bar, the design in the lobby and the rooms is beautiful

There is one unique door for the shower and the toilet. They are next to each other and the door slips from one to the other. But then if you have shower you can't go to the toilet :-). Moreover, the water from the shower leaks to the toilet floor.... very inconvenient. Also the shutters open at 07AM wether you want it or not :-)

The rooms are big enough, no cramped room. Although I've stayed there twice in August (2021 and 2022) the rooms were cool enough to sleep in. In the room there was a large tower fan which circulated the air. The wifi was stable and fast enough. Their staff is friendly and professional. I love especially their breakfast which is rich enough. Also the quality of their restaurant is good, but a bit pricy.

Although there is refridgerator in the room present, there's no Tea/coffee making facility in the room. This would be very handy if you check in late in the evening, as the bar is already closed

Nice pool area, comfortable beds, friendly staff, pleasant hotel in general

Breakfast is supposed to be served until 10, but many items aren't restocked after 9'ish. The toilet/shower set-up with the sliding glass door is ridiculous. Zero privacy, and pointless example of choosing design over functionality. Finally, charging 12 euro for charging a hybrid car is absurd imho, that's more expensive than just pumping gas.

Perfect for our furry friends which we could take on plenty of walk nearby. Beautiful countryside. Lovely wellness center. Very relaxing. Nice food and a lavish breakfast buffet.

Biergarten looks beautiful but was closed due to bad weather. We have to come back ;-)

Excellent hotel for business travel because it is located near by the highway. Parking is free and there is enough space to park in front of the hotel. The breakfast is good and the staff at the front desk is kind.

Probably not the fault of the hotel because we all experience the shortage of getting staff, but there were not enough waiters to help all the present people to get their drinks.

Great place to stop off en-route from Rotterdam to Austria. Gardens were lovely and bar staff were very pleasent. A quiet and peaceful town. Overall, it was very restful and a relaxing place to spend the night.

Could only eat and drink outside in the beer garden where it did get a bit chilly later in the evening.

This is a very good hotel, superbly located for a stopover and we had a great dinner. I'm not exaggerating when I say Michelin plate quality. Breakfast was also excellent with a choice of milk substitutes already laid out.

Whilst clean, the carpet in the room had some faint stains on it. Why not 2 armchairs in a double room?!

Great option for a trip to Legoland. Quiet, peaceful place, comfortable and clean room, nice pool, restaurant in a nice park with very good food, plenty of space to park the car. What more could you want?

Not enough vegetables for breakfast

Breakfast was great. There was always enough. The staff were very kind and friendly. The pool was amazing. My Six year old loved swimming for hours every day. The pool area is set up very nicely and the chairs are very comfortable. We also loved that the guests are provided with robes and a bag to use to go.down to the pool. We felt very comfortable and our room was nice. It.could used a little updating and maybe a sofa but, overall, it was lovely

The area was okay. We had a room facing the street and qhen we tilted the window, we could hear the traffic. But with windows closed, it was quiet. I was disappointed one evening when we tried to go to dinner at the hotel. It was outside and there was a special evening with grilled food. We did not know and had no reservation and were not made aware of this evening prior to us arriving. My daughter was not feeling so well so we wanted to stay at the hotel to eat so she could get to bed promptly. It was too bad. BUT....we did end up ordering from the regular menu and they delivered it.to our room. We missed eating outside but it worked.out in the end. The staff were helpful. But I feel hotel guests should be ae to eat at the hotel.
