Hotel ParkSaône

A multi-storey hotel with underground parking, it provided comfort and security that would easily meet expectations after an evening drive from Geneva. We were thoughtfully given two connected rooms on high floor that were convenient for handling our travelling stuff, though the rooms did not provide much view . Breakfast was quite okay, though it did not provide any surprises with only limited variety.

Would have been better if staff could all communicate well in English.

Especially Hugo, who welcome us in a great way. He was very serviceminded and helped us find the perfect restaurant for dinner. We owe him many thanks for making us feel spoiled and at home. The breakfast was also remarkable with fresh croissants, cheese, scrambled eggs, great coffe and juice and much more. We really recommend this place. The parking cellar is also of very good quality with plenty room even for big cars.

The only thing we needed was a bathtub and faster Wi-Fi - otherwise it was great.

Super quiet, in a kind of neighborhood that is brand new it seems. Post industrial development area. It is really very quiet, almost no people there but it feels safe and you can easily park your car in a garage or on the streets. A ten minute walk will bring you to Pathé and a bar with burgers. In august 2022 you pay zero for parking on the streets. In front of the hotel a busstop which takes you straight to Vieux Lyon or, rent a step from Tier, like we did. You then are in ten minutes in the city center and the bycicle paths in Lyon are perfect for it. A beautiful route along the river will bring you there. Huge hotel room, air conditioning works perfectly. Breakfast we had in our room, was mediocre. Maybe it is better when you go to the buffet instead of ordering room service. Also close to the highway, easy to reach. Recommended!

Very modern, clean, large room with modern ensuite bathroom. Air conditioned, comfortable and quiet. We did not eat breakfast here.

When we arrived the WiFi was not working at all. We waited a couple of hours, still didn’t come on so complained at the front desk. No, said the concierge, must be your devices not working. I told him our devices had been working for ten days in different hotels, but got no satisfaction. Lo and behold, ten minutes later a miracle occurred. WiFi jumped into our room from nowhere, very good WiFi. Strange wasn’t it??? Hotel is situated far from shops, restaurants and other businesses.

Reception staff : were great and super friendly Cleanliness : the rooms were very clean. Breakfast : was good. The corridor was also clean and the rooms well insulated.

The fact that we could take two rooms next to each other without having to pay for a third room. Oddly, the shower (and toilet) has a large transparent glass window that looks directly into the bedroom! With the heatwave in Lyon, the rooms didn't have mini-fridges!

Room and the river view from room was awesome, it's so romantic. Breakfast was fabulous. Cleanliness is not to be mentioned because it was ParkSaone, simply impeccable. Staffs were ever smiling and helpful. The man at the reception at the time of our check in was really nice. At night, even after his duty got off and he was about to leave, he voluntarily reentered the hotel for a particular help of us.

I didn't find anything which I didn't like or, which could be better.

Fine breakfast in outdoor terrace. Bathroom very clean. Everything's is there. Breakfast was fresh , good variation but choices were a bit limited ( eg not many French cheeses, and only 2 types of juices ). But all in all , very nice clean Hotel with friendly staff. Also used the underground garage to park my car, this was also perfect.

Nothing really. A bit more choice in breakfast could have been even better. In the weekends the bar is not open, which was a pity. As the Hotel is +/- 5 lmc from city center, you need to go to the center by bike rental (around the corner), car or bus. Too far on foot...

The room was quiet, comfortable and well ventilated. The staff at the hotel were professional and very helpful. The food at the restaurant was exceptionally good.

However, the restaurant is not open for dinner on Saturday and Sunday nights so you have to go out to eat. We found a great burger bar 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

No evacuation sighs at the underground parking so it is not clear to find the way out. Instructions to open a door from parking area into the hotel not clear . We have some difficulty to enter. There are instructions at the side of the door in english that say Press the button but it does not work. Coffee dispenser with French text only- it was difficult to find hot water button.

The Hotel is in a quiet location, a bit away from main attractions, but relatively easy to travel/to the city center by bus 31 and 43. Bus stop around the corner from the hotel. Walking to city center may be around 25 minutes. Room was very spaceous, clean, and extremely quiet. Building is relatively new. Breakfast was quite good, plenty of choices, not excessive. Paking available in the vicinity of the hotel, but there is private underground parking at the Hotel (11 euros day). Excellent wifi speed. There are a number of high quality restaurants at walking distance.

Beds were comfortable but pillows may be too thick.
