Hotel Pont Levis - Franck Putelat

Perfect location just next to the citadel. Modern hotel with quality finishings. The receptionist who checked us in was very helpful and speaks English. The shower with the high end sprays are a delight and pleasure !

Breakfast was on the high side, and was packed up at 1030 am sharp without any pre-notification to the guests (only myself then) if any last helpings could be desired. There is no power sockets next to bed. The room is small with no where to place the extra pillows and the bed throw. The wardrobe is old, small, and felt like an ad hoc furniture not in matching with the rest of modern furniture.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Check-in was at 4 pm but we arrived at 12pm and our room was ready. We had a room with a hot tub, which was fabulous. The location is superb as the hotel is across the room from the main entrance to the medieval city. Lovely gardens behind the hotel with brilliant views of the city. Stylish rooms , well decorated and everything was very clean. Convenient parking.

Breakfast was expensive and not worth the money but there are loads of places in the city that serve breakfast, so not a problem.

Fabulous location right outside gates of castle. Only 12 bedrooms in the hotel so very intimate. Lovely room and extremely comfortable bed. Very clean with an amazing shower. The staff were particularly warm and friendly. Would throughly recommend this hotel.

Breakfast was not the best and when we came down at 09.30 which is not late there was not much of a choice left. Not great value for money but you can chose not to have breakfast and go elsewhere i guess

We had a fantastic 5-nights stay at Hôtel Pont Levis! The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful and the rooms were excellent. Temperature controlled and nicely decorated and furnished. The easy access to the non-crowded pool saved us in the heat of the afternoons. The personell at the hotel was super nice and kind really making their best to make our stay pleasant and nice. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a rich and good variety of bread, fruit, yogurt, and juice. One in our family is intolerant to gluten but that was not a problem at all. Plenty of good gluten-free breakfast alternatives were available making also his breakfast great!

The wardrobes were maybe somewhat small staying 5 nights but that was not a super big deal.

Superb location right next to the Narbonnaise Gate into the medieval city. Really friendly staff. Hotel had a really nice atmosphere. On site car parking (15 euros per day). Nice room. Old style hotel but with modern style decorations and fittings. Very good continental buffet breakfast. Small but very good swimming pool. There are cheaper hotels in Carcassonne but this hotel is worth the extra cost.

Nothing

Although the room was small (but perhaps typical for France), it had everything one could need... a most enjoyable shower and to top it off, a door to the terrace with a lovely place to sit outside. Then... the true surprise (I chose the hotel simply as it had parking), a walk through the garden to perhaps, the most wonderful vantage available in all of Carcassonne. Although we didn't eat at the hotel, we did at Mssr. Putelat's Brasserie in the town, which was excellent.

Besides the aforementioned smallish room size, the parking was a little complicated (involving in and out tickets for the municipal lot), but once it was understood, worked perfectly.

Oh my god!!! We booked the superior double room with the hot-tub and we really made full use of it, we arrived at around 4 o’clock in the afternoon and after checking in, the experience was amazing, when we got in the receptionist sat us down and told us about the city and the sister resteraunts of the hotel, (they were a wee bit out of our price range though) and after our check in we were escorted to the room and shown the amenities that were included. I would highly recommend staying here, and we will be telling all our friends about it.

The breakfast was slightly too overpriced, but I understand so it’s okay :)

The Hotel Pont Levis is a short walk away from the main entrance to the medieval city of Carcassonne. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a small terrace leading to the nearby swimming pool. The breakfast buffet was excellent for a small hotel. The gated hotel car park was very convenient.

Only one very small quibble: the tap over the small wash basin was so large that it was difficult to bend over the basin to wash one's face.

Excellent location by the medieval city gate with direct bus from the airport to front of the hotel. Pool was also great to cool down and relax after sightseeing and lunch.

Pool area needs a little work as some tiles are lifting up in places

Close to the main gate into the cite, so it was quick and easy to visit the attractions and it was a lovely quiet oasis after the crowds. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool. The staff were all so helpful and pleasent.

One of the rooms was basement level and very dark.
