Hotel Atlantic

Our view towards the DOKK1 library with a bit of harbour in the back ground. ( fun playgrounds around the library itself) The family rooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. I know there has been complaints about dated bathrooms, but we didn't find this a problem at all, given the most important part was that it's clean. Parking lot was interesting, their little 'british phone box' is super tiny. So leave some family members in the lobby. Else it was very easy and inexpensive. The hotel staff were amazing, there were all these little surprises, like hand made slippers and chocolates, etc. Breakfast was worth it too, the additional views were lovely. The children have declared that this is their favourite hotel. For sure we'll be talking about this one to anyone and every one who'll listen!

The only this that made my mother unhappy was that the tv connection was down. No idea how long it was down for though.

I knew it was a city centre location and paid extra to have a harbour view - its very much a harbour city and we wanted to be in the centre of things. The city is very walkable but hiring a bike would also have worked as its pretty well set up for bikes. We flew to billund airport and got the bus direct - it was great not to have to drive. Comfortable room and great breakfast and helpful staff. Denmark is a pricey country so worth it to get a great breakfast. We were also close tonettos to get snacks for watching the world cup.

As others have said, the location does mean it could be noisy which did not bother us. There's also a bit of a crush for breakfast and I couldn't find the stairs so waited for the lift.

- hotel's location: we travelled with small kids and DOKK which is right in front of the hotel have some amazing playgrounds. It's also close to Aarhus street food which is also family friendly - breakfast was nice - overall a good stay

- we booked a suite (living room + bedroom) but it didn't have a door or even a curtain between them. The only reason why we usually book a suite with kids is so we have some privacy after they go to sleep. But you can't watch tv/ talk or even have the lights on in one room without affecting the other room.

Nice room with view of the harbour. Easy access with dog. Also they arranged bed for the dog and a blanket and a toy. Complementary mini bar. Parking on site, but limited so we had to book in advance. Breakfast ok though I missed some more choice of bread/rolls and hot food. Crowded restaurant, so we had to book time in advance - perfectly fine. Very nice view from the breakfast area on the top floor.

Hotel looks a little worn and old. Could need some refreshing. Small elevators, especially the one to the parking area. Could have advised us to empty the car before parking the car.

It was a very good stay and the room was really nice! Choosing the view over the harbour was a very good idea as it was magnificent. Breakfast was very good and the staff kind and very helpful. What was very helpful was the parking, which is extra safe as one needs to access the car elevator to get to it!

Almost everything was perfect, but one drawback was a little bit of noise coming from the club at the ground floor. Surprising to be able to hear it, as we were at the 9th floor, but it might have been the fact we got a corner apartment just over it. Minor inconvenience though!

The hotel is very close to the central station, and one can easily reach there. The DOKK1 is right opposite to the hotel, where tourists can get any necessary information that they need. Room is also big. Great breakfast.

The hotel advertised on their balcony. Unfortunately, the balcony is just a windowsill of a floor to ceiling window. As a matter of fact, many others are complaining about the "balcony" as well.

Great hotel with really nice large and bright every clean rooms . Bathrooms were very clean and had toiletries available. Ladies at reception were absolutely wonderful . From speaking English better than most Native American speakers to being full of information and happiness they were great . Great secure bicycle storage . Within 5km. of the Ferry from Aarhus to Sealand . Straight shot on our bicycles . Very good breakfast and many very good restaurants within walking distance for dinner .

Only minor complaint was that the hot dishes at breakfast were rather cool

Location - superb: Close to train station, close to harbour, close to sea-side walk, just opposite to DOKK1, and very very close to city center and restaurants and cafes. Also close to bus station, if anyone is taking long distance buses like Flixbus to Aarhus. There is also a tram and bus stop right in front of the hotel (stop name: Dokk1)

NOTHING that we disliked at all! just a feedback: Lighting options could be adjusted a little. i.e the lighting in the room is really Hygge - cozy! It is really comfortable for relaxing. But I just felt there could have been a brighter light option for those who wanted.. to say attend a meeting from the desk etc, especially in evening. all lights in room had low lumen. Keeping one of the lights (especially a main one) with higher lumen could provide a choice to diverse travellers (especially during cloudy days), given that there are 3 other lamps to give low warm light for those who want that.

The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and fun. Breakfast is really good. The room and view out onto the harbour are excellent. There are a few quirks to the hotel, one being the lift from the car park to the reception which makes for a unique experience. Great decor and some nice touches. We will definitely return.

The weather.

great location in Aarhus, close to everything and a nice view out on the city from the 9th floor. Breakfast was amazing !! Don’t cheat yourself and say no to that when you book. It’s over the moon luxurious ! The whole interior design is classy and comfortable. Finally a room with a big tv that you could even hook up with your phone. very very nice detail for relaxation.

The room should have had a small fridge. The price and sense of comfortability and aestetics considered it was an odd thing to leave out.
