Holiday Inn & Suites Ottawa Kanata, an IHG Hotel

One of my all time favourite stays in Ottawa. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating upon check in and during our stay. the location was fantastic for what we were doing in Ottawa, being a few minutes from the highway in both directions We stayed on the top floor in the corner King suite (would highly recommend) and the room was immaculately clean and the bed was so comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast (free for kids under 12) at the restaurant and the food was delicious. Will absolutely be booking another stay soon. Thank you!!

Debbie in particular however everyone in restaurant were incredible and paid such close attention to what our son liked and small touches like including fruit for him, and putting his apple juice in a cup that wouldn’t spill. On reception Everyone was fantastic, answering questions and gave great advice for places to go with our son, and advice on how to get there. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them & we were very sad when we went to our next destination and the staff & hotel weren’t the same We only came across the 5th floor cleaning lady a handful of times but she was always friendly and always asking if we needed anything replenishing Would 100% stay here again and recommend it to anyone. The fact the room had a bath/shower, a fridge & microwave and a pool makes it a fantastic place for a family stay

The staff was so helpful and kind. The were so good with my son and patient about the swimming pool and making sure he knew where to go.

We had to share the pool with swimming lessons which was awkward as the pool is not very big. I understand lessons need to happen but maybe enlarge the pool so people don't feel in the way. Also the hot tub wasn't working which was a little disappointing. However, I get that things break and need maintenance. This wouldn't stop me from coming back.

The hotel staff were absolutely amazing, especially the restaurant staff. The food is delicious, the rooms are clean and modern, the lobby is warm and inviting, and it's quiet and peaceful for sleeping soundly. The only minor concern is that the shower tap and bathroom sink tap is labeled incorrectly with the hot and cold labels on backwards. Also, one tv and one bedside lamp weren't working.

The quietness of the rooms makes a difference when I stay at a hotel. The breakfast was very tasty, fresh fruit was a nice surprise on the dish and the price was manageable.

The cleanliness of the carpets could have been better. An annual carpet cleaning could help. Don't like dirty carpets. Closet door spring came off its track. Blow dryer didn't work in Room 421. I turned it off/on. There was a burning smell. Forgot to mention it to the front desk.

We liked the organization of the room with a bedroom separate from a sitting room- vey efficiently organized. It allowed us to have visitors in the sitting room without having to clean up our bedroom area. The whole room gave a modern impression.

Cups. Only the necessary 2 were made available, which didn't allow for glasses for visitors etc.

Ideal location to Canadian Tire Centre

parking as a bit cramped but that the drivers, not the property per say. cleaning cost because of the dog but understandable. a better idea would be to dedicate X number of rooms for those travelling with pets to reduce costs to your customers and staffing costs.

I liked the room we were in. It had enough space for two people to comfortably eat meals together and the beds were very comfortable. I also appreciated that there were enough charging ports for two people to plug in cellphones to charge and there was a fridge, a microwaved and a kurig machine. As well, the staff was very friendly and kind to us.

They could have better wifi service but other than that, everything was amazing and I would not complain about the experience.

overall the property was clean however front door windows needed cleaning badly. We had some difficulties getting the room warm but it wasn’t to bad. The restaurant was amazing and the food was incredible.. the server Samirr was amazing. The room we stayed in could use some updating.

The staff really went above and beyond to help us out. I had trouble with my request and with the internet, at the staff were extremely helpful.

The booking site indicated a different room than I thought I was getting, so we had an awkward stay without the living area. The room was crowded and the walls and lamps and corners were noticeably dusty. We had been promised a toaster and kettle upon reservation, but when we arrived at the hotel were denied a toaster. Also, hotel fees and taxes made the cost a little higher than expected. My internet disconnected several times (I had meetings to attend and was disconnected from them and had to get tech help.)
