Holiday Inn Express & Suites Halifax Airport, an IHG Hotel

Bed was super comfortable. I asked for extra pillows and they were provided and already there when we arrived. Check-in was quick and painless. If you use the card you have on file with booking to secure the booking, you'll still need the physical card when you arrive or can use another form of payment. Alarm clock in the room automatically changed times with the Daylight Savings changeover, which was AMAZING. The room had Dove-branded lotion, soaps, shampoo, conditioner and body wash as a default, which is great for those who have sensitive skin. All in all, a great stay.

The stay was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. King size bed, good customer service, ample parking, and lots of comfort touches here and there. Plus, out of the 3 hotels nearby, it's still the most cost-effective for early morning flights at the airport.

Convenient to the airport. Shuttle service available. Room was large, quiet, and very comfortable. Breakfast was good with a plentiful selection, and tea and coffee available all day. Really well-stocked mini-shop in lobby with quite reasonable prices. Friendly staff. I was very lucky to get early availability to my room, which was very much appreciated!!

Although close to the airport, the property is not close to anything else unless you have a car, so meal and entertainment options are limited. Some clearer airport shuttle instructions in advance of arrival would be helpful, particularly after overnight flights.

Very nice large room, modern, well decorated, super comfy. Nice coffee/tea station in the room. I traveled with my dog and we were very well received. Breakfast was included and nice. There is no room service BUT they do have an alternative from the neighbouring hotel. I ordered dinner which was excellent and arrived in less than 15 minutes, still hot and delicious delivery to my room. For sure much faster than many hotels that have their own kitchen.

There was nothing I disliked. The hotel exceeded my expectations.

Our flight arrived about 8 hours before check-in time and after a few calls, we were picked up by the hotel's airport shuttle. The driver was very professional and helpful. At the hotel, we requested an early check-in. Unfortunately, no rooms were available but Angela, at the front desk ensured we were properly looked after. She took our luggage, and provided us access to the restroom to freshen up. Afterwards, she directed us to the breakfast hall and gave us access to the pool area where we waited until she had a room available at about 11 am. My kids loved every bit of their experience at the hotel. That was by far, my most enjoyable hotel stay in years. It was great that they also provided long-term parking at the hotel too.

The shuttle driver was superb. Smiling, cheerful, friendly, helpful. I left my purse in the shuttle whe he dropped us off at the airport. Delivered it to me with a smile half an hour later.

Breakfast buffet was excellent but lacking cooked oatmeal although there was a container marked oatmeal. Instant available but instructions on the package were incorrect so wasted 2 packages before finding out how to cook it. Went without in the end. Staff member on duty was unfriendly and unhelpful.

All comments need to be taken in the context of the hotel having no power due to Hurricane Fiona. There was no power or hot water in any of the rooms. However, there was a generator to supply power in the lobby area, so people were able to to charge their devices, mingle with other guests and chat. We were able to order in food. The beds were comfy so we slept well. The next morning the breakfast area was well stocked with muffins, tea, coffee,, etc. The staff were calm and professional making what could have been a very unpleasant experience quite enjoyable.

Executive suite we booked was great. Breakfast was good. The general amenities were good. Being able to go to the Hilton for lunch/supper (food and service were excellent). Availability of free toiletries - e.g toothpaste and razors etc if you forget yours.

The pillows. I didn’t sleep well until I discovered a pillow that was different in the closet. The pillows on the bed are too soft. The room on Monday was noisy- not particularly late but we had requested a quiet room and as far as we can tell that wasn’t really considered. They also told us the wrong time for the shuttle to the airport in the morning. Didn’t end up mattering to us but a silly thing to get wrong.

Very comfortable room; it faced the highway but noise was not an issue. Didn't have a restaurant, but the hotel next door did and we ate well. Plenty of parking. Bed was comfortable.

Not sure about the actual breakfast they serve, but for early check-out folks, the "grab'n'go" breakfast was kind of pathetic. The sign for the hotel is hidden by trees as you come down the road, so we drove right past it and had to make a U-turn down the way a bit.

I am very concerned for the environment. When sorting the materials I used for breakfast I asked staff if they need to sort some of it as I noticed other guests did not sort. The person told me everything, sorted or not, goes in the same garbage at the back. I was shocked and disappointed. Hotels need to go back to using real dishes and wash them. All this stuff going to a garbage heap in this day and age is ridiculous. I am going to bring it to the attention of a Member if Provincial Parliament.

I usually stay at Hilton but tried Holiday Inn because the price was considerably less. Had a good sleep and was the bagels at breakfast were e cellent

I felt bad for the girl in front desk. She was working alone and there was a huge lineup to check in and at the canteen and the phone was ringing really needed two people but she was excellent. Parking was terrible and they charge people $20 bucks and they take a damage deposit on your credit card it says they will take $500 but the took$100.
