There are so many good things to say about this hotel, starting from the incredible staff and continuing with the prime location, so close to many excellent restaurants. We got a nice room with a great view on floor 16. Because of a personal issue we needed to move to another room and the excellent hotel receptionist moved us to a wonderfully specious room on floor 17. Both rooms were very comfortable and clean. The rooms are well equipped and the bed is super comfy. The shower head in our room on the 17th floor was much better than the one on floor 16.

There wasn't a handheld shower head which was less convenient. Everyone talks about the great toilet seat, which is great, but it would have been nice to have a shower to match. The pool area is very small and lacks helpful equipment like reclining chairs, etc. It is also not a well loved area of the hotel; it could have used some work to fulfill its potential (some plants around and colorful decorations for example).

Exellent possisioned close (walking distance) to both green areas (Stanley park and harbour park) and old victorian style houses. No drug addicts and use of drugs on the streets within 2 km. -Which had been a big problem in some other Canadian cities we visited (like Calgary). The police seems also much more present in Vancouver. For the first time (out of five visited hotels) we actually found a hotel where there was water in the announced svimmingpool! (or it didnt have any other malfunctions). Also the water quality in the svimmingpool was checked on daily basis. Very good service from all staff members at the hotel, actually the best I have ever experienced at any hotel I have been staying at, all over the world during my now 50 years of travelling. But it must be said: also normally at a lower pricelevel.

No waterheater for tea making. Sufficient heating in the existing coffeemaker, would last two run-throughs, before the water was hot enough. Not a big issue, but waterheaters just seems a standard at hotels in Canada. Otherwise no comments on the cleaning, which we found much better than on other (cheaper) hotels we used during our stay in Canada.

We have stayed at the Coast Coal Harbour several times so know it well. There was a bit of a mix up with our rooms at first but the manager was excellent and arranged for two adjoining rooms as requested. The manager kept in touch before our arrival to keep us updated, which is excellent service. The location of the hotel is second to none as it is a short walk into the hub of Vancouver but out of the crowds and noise. We also walked to Stanley Park and the aquarium along the sea walk by the marina, so nice not to have to take the car. A very clean and well maintained hotel.

The rooms have been refurbished and, although nice and clean, we did not like the laminate flooring would have preferred carpet but I suppose that is a personal choice.

We were impressed from the first moment we were greeted at the door. Eric, the topnotch doorman/bellhop… immediately helped us with a problem trying to pay a cab driver not speaking our language. He took care of us from there to check in to delivering us to our fantastic room. The room with a corner view of the water down the street was clean/modern and comfortable. We never heard another soul! And no traffic noise either. The location just a block or so up from the park entrance to the Seawall walk was extremely handy yet not in the busy cruise ship port area swarming with people. Every interaction we had with staff over our stay was cordial and friendly and delightful. Until Eric got us a cab on our departure, we knew we had found a new home in Vancouver when we visit.

Can’t think of a thing!

The hotel was within walking distance of the cruise terminal, which suited us fine even with our cases. Superb hotel with very friendly staff excellent size rooms. We travelled with our elderly parents and they had the room across the hall from us which was amazing, after a sorry start to our vancouver stay (bus driver did not know where the hotel was), we were met by a very helpful concierge. Great knowledge about the city and where to go, and where to avoid. We ate in the adjoining restaurant for one night before we had to check-in for our Cruise. Food was amazing. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time at this hotel.

There was nothing I didn't like about this hotel.

Hard floors (carpet is gross) Sandals in the closet (for the hard floors and my sore feet). I actually had brought my own pair, but yours were more comfortable. Different squish levels of pillows ( I liked the softest) Shower pressure was AMAZING Bathroom amenities were very nice. Valet staff were magnificent at ordering taxis for me. very quiet in terms of street noise, and noise from other rooms. Curtains were great at blocking sunlight. View was nice ( corner room)

There was a ticking sound in the duct all nights. At least I had earplugs. Very loud in terms of hallway noise- could hear anyone in hallway talking, crying etc. free tv channels were meh. Restaurant and room service were painfully slow (the food was very tasty and quality), but as a business traveller on a timeline, I would not use again.

Quiet and comfortable, good location. This is a good standard business hotel. It didn't seem busy at all when we were there and we always had prompt service at the front desk.

Although everything was as it should be, there was one thing we noticed that was strange. Our suite had a kitchen, or at least what looked like a kitchen. On closer inspection, however, it became apparent that there was literally nothing in any of the cupboards. If you've every been to IKEA, you'll know what I mean when I say it was like an IKEA show suite! There was a dishwasher, but only two cups that could have even been washed. Everything was quite minimalist; two tea bags, two servings of coffee and that was it.

The Hotel is in an excellent location with the Harbour and city centre within walking distance. When we asked to change room the hotel responded immediately and without question. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. We would definitely consider staying here again should we be back in the city. The is no charge to use the gym or pool facilities which are good for short visit purposes. The train station is close by for airport transfers.

This is a very small thing but would have been nice, there is no coat hangers in the room, given the need for winter clothing it seemed a bit odd there is no coat hangers outside of the one clothing press, there is plenty of space beside the door to fit these in.

The staff was really helpful and very kind. We didn't have any complains, since we stayed for 2 nights. But everything was in a walk distance, the location was amazing and would stay there again in a near future.

We really loved the room, the view. But when we were checking at the desk they gave us this optional of higher level and view room, which I didn't expect be a higher price from what I had booked, at least they should have told us it would be more expensive, otherwise we would stay with what I had booked before.

The room was spacious and very clean and comforting. We had a room at the 14th floor and it was nicely quiet. The Hotel is nicely located and all the attractions like the waterfront, gaslamp quarter etc are in walking distance.

The description on booking.com and other sites says that self-parking is available. This is wrong, only valet is available. While I don't mind valet, I prefer self parking, even if it costs a fee. Also, the staff of the hotel was ok-ish. Professional, but we've had more friendly staff at other locations.
