We had what they called a suite which wasn't quite as fabulous as the photos but we had plenty of space and a room for us and a room for the kids. The best part of the hotel is the gym and pool - a "proper" 25M swimming pool, not the large bath you get in some places. It's well located too - near the cruise terminal and walking distance to downtown and Stanley Park.

The hotel is above some floors of offices and below some floors of apartments. the common areas are a little tired and there's no bar/restaurant, etc. There is the "Lions" pub around the corner, and it is OK, but this is more of an aparthotel than an actual hotel. But it served our purposes and it is good value for what you get.

The swimming pool and Gym, which was owned by the adjoining club and residents were permitted to use were superb. The 25 metre pool complete with a glass roof was the best of its type that I have ever experienced in a hotel.

A reception/ bar area, there is only an entrance hall and bedrooms!

Nicely furnished suite with separate bedroom with king size bed, living room and mini kitchen (small frig and microwave), nice shower, secure internet, access to fitness center with 25m pool (4 lanes) and hot tub available 6 AM to 10 PM. We had a room on the top floor (12th) with views. Hotel was one block from the cruise terminal exit.so we walked with suitcases. Capilano and Hop On Hop Off stops are near terminal. Don't miss the Stanley Park and Granville Island stops. Lots of restaurants near hotel. We used Tim Horton for quick breakfasts before tours. Staff was helpful with directions. We caught the train to the airport about two blocks away. We loved visiting Vancouver after our cruise.

All hotels in downtown are expensive. The bed was good but could have been slightly better. Avoid the China Town Hop On Hop Off stop due to homeless people everywhere (hotel staff advice and I agree). All other stops are safe. We walked around town a lot.

The location of this hotel is terrific if cruising or sightseeing, being just back from Canada Place. The view was great, full length windows made rooms nice and bright. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had two separate stays almost two weeks apart. On the first stay my husband left a shirt behind. He emailed the hotel and it was waiting for him at reception on our return. Thank you, Carl! The room was clean and bed was comfortable. It is within an easy walk of Waterfront train station and Avis car rental on Hornby St. Would definitely stay again.

The hallways could do with a facelift.

Great location within easy walking distance of the cruise terminal and to good eateries like the Chops, Irish and Lion pubs on the Waterfront. Thanks Carl for checking us, earlier than usual and arranging the airport taxi. Very clean room with a good view, too. We greatly appreciated Joy Wang service to assist us in returning a large musical instrument to the musical store located a distance from the city centre as we had a very early morning overseas flight and the store was closed for BC ( British Columbia) Day the day before. Joy's service goes beyond her normal duty and reflects the good quality of their staff.

location and friendliness / helpfulness of the staff

bar was far away from the hotel lobby to be convenient, we were taken to it through the inside of the hotel furst time but we couldn't remember how to get there again without going outside and walking around the hotel building to the next street. We also were told that there was an outdoor terrace on floor 4 but when we went there and asked a member of staff they said that there was not drinks service there but apparently there was we later found out and would have preferred to be outside on this high terrace for a drink after a day out. The front doors ( x2) were heavy and difficult to open especially when we had two large bags to try to take through , we have to wedge open the door with one and try to get the other person through with their bags.

The hotel was located a short walk to the Canada avenue tourist activities and shuttles with 4 coffee shops even closer. The room was very disabled friendly with a separate bedroom and lounge/kitchen area with a microwave and refrigerator. The lounge included a large couch and a separate 4 chair dining table area. In all the hotel was quiet and well located to the docks area and an easy walk to most attractions. Hotel offered free umbrellas for guest usage.

There was no on site restaurant and the public toilet in the foyer area required a short lift ride for any disabled woman to access same but male toilets were up a short ramp.

Great location. Close to our favourite bakeries, the Sky train station and the Waterfront. Ideal for walks along there or any excursion as the connection was easy to use. Loved the leisure facilities at the hotel. Large pool, well equipped gym and good changing facilities. The room was spacious and had a superb view, so we could see cruise ships arriving etc. There was even a microwave in the room. Checkout at 12 was also convenient.

The adult only time for the pool between 4-6 was a bit inconvenient but understand why they did it.

Great location downtown by the water, access to the fitness club located in the same building with full pool, hot tub, gym, sauna etc. We had a one bedroom suite on the 10th floor with great view of the city and water. Mini kitchen, nice living area. Front desk staff were lovely and helpful.

We arrived by car and couldn’t access the front of the building as there’s no area to pull in at the front doors if the street parking is full. So we had to keep circling the block until we called and they said to go into the public parking at the back of the building to access check in. It wasn’t a big deal but would have been good to know beforehand! Also, parking for the night is $50 which is pretty steep, even for the city.

A highlight of our stay is Kina at the front desk, she was amazing in welcoming us to the property, very insightful in regards to the check in process, facility and parking. Details she had provided sure helped us navigate the property, especially it being attached to the club and a mix use property.

Our AC unit in our room did not cool down below the preferred 20c which made our first night uncomfortable at 24c. I had asked for maintenance to look into the system the following morning and learned cooling dampers were set to winter setting. Also, we had a Nespresso cafe machine and needed pod refills in the evening, but learned by operator that housekeeping was gone for the evening and pods were locked. Maybe giving overnight access to Nespresso pods will benefit other future guests.
