The Stone Hedge Bed and Breakfast0

Brian our host was outstanding. His knowledge of Vancouver was very deep and he exuded enthusiasm. He was always willing to shuttle us to the local station or provide milk for tea in the room. His property is in a beautiful location with easy access to public transport and the gardens and pool are wonderful. Our room was perfect; a comfy bed, loads of space. Snacks were always put in the room and kept topped up. He provides brandy by the bedside for a night cap or two! Breakfasts were fabulous and always different. Thoughtful touches in the bathroom were cotton wool buds and balls etc.

Nothing. It was perfect.

The owner and our host was exceptional. He shared a lot of fun facts about the area. He was a gracious and humorous host. The breakfast was marvelous and the host served it splendidly. He set up the silverware and plates like we were at a fancy restaurant. Very comfortable, welcoming. We had a nautically decorated room. The bath was lovely also with a great selection of toiletries. There was a frig stocked with beverages (non-alcohol) for guests, tea and cofee, hot chocolate and snacks, and a glass of brandy waited us in our room. Couldnt have selected a better place. Also provided us transport to and from the airport. Just lovely all around.

No complaints.

We were very pleased with our stay at Stone Hedge B&B, the breakfast was exceptional, we could not have wished for better. The food was excellent, the home made jam was wonderful. Very close to the airport with a complimentary drop or collect from Brian the owner. The swimming pool provided a beautiful setting and a cool dip from the hot summer day we were there. Brian provided us with lots of information for places to eat or get food ordered in. He provided us with plates etc for our takeaway when it arrived. We didn't avail of the complimentary airport drop instead as we were heading to the Ferry to Vancouver Island the next morning, Brian dropped us to the bus station, showing us the exact stop to wait for the bus, he could not have done more for us.

There was nothing we didn't like .

I was picked up at the airport by the host. He gave an interesting commentary on the way to Stone Hedge. He explained where I could go for an evening meal and gave clear directions as I was walking. I had a great sleep but the apex of the stay was the amazing 4-course breakfast! No food was wasted, reasonable portion of each course. Both presentation and flavour outstanding!!!

I had no problems with my stay. The host drove me to the cruise ship docks (for a reasonable price) the next morning. Again he gave an entertaining commentary during the drive.

It is close to the airport and the proprietor collected us. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was nice, but not if you're a picky eater. There was a pool which could be used in good weather

Though breakfast was nice, a variety of choices would be better. If you didn't like a course, there was nothing else on offer: my husband doesn't like fruit or yoghurt but he had to miss that course as cereals and/or bread/ toast were not suggested as an alternative . The bathroom probably needs a refurbishment.

individual themed rooms (3), all on ground floor. very kind and chatty hosts, who do a superb breakfast, with home made jellies etc we booked 2 rooms and caught up with our friends at the location they have a sitting area with fireplace, (March) so it was ideal place to chat, and orange brandy as a bedtime treat. rooms and bedding warm and comfortable Brian picked us up and dropped us back to the airport - thank-you so much - another transfer/connection that we didn’t have to worry about. in cruise season he can drop conveniently to the cruise terminal for a fee.

The place is so comfortable with all the facilities readily available. The host is just amazing - so generous with his offers of help and his information. Picking me up from the airport and taking me back the following day was only one example of his generous assistance. I am sorry I missed the legendary breakfast but he gave me a take away treat in compensation. Thanks to all who made my stay so warm, welcoming and homely.

I would not change a thing. I loved everything about my stay.

There was pick up and drop from the airport by Brian himself in his SUV. During the drive from the airport to the Stone Hedge Brian gave a brief of Richmond , Vancouver and other details of the property. The room was very well decorated with the theme of Captain's Deck. He also explained to us the various facilities at the stay which we found very organised neat and tidy. Next morning at drop-off to the airport we were giving a fruit basket as we had to catch an early flight. Overall an excellent stay at Stone Hedge - a homestay well run by Brian and his wife.

We couldn't find any dislikes as the place is well managed by Brian and Linda.

Host was very friendly and accommodating. Included pick-up at the bus station (from ferry terminal) and drop-off at the airport so saved in taxi fees. Plan this in advance with the host. Breakfast (5-courses) was outstanding! Pool area very nice although it was raining while there so could not take advantage.

Rooms and shared space a bit too close for privacy but silver lining was that we got to know a couple staying in the room next door and using the shared space which is, after all, part of the B&B experience.

The pool and garden were absolutely lovely and private on a hot afternoon and the host put on the perfect music! The hosts went out of their way to accommodate my needs cheerfully, including my unanticipated early arrival. My flight was early so hosts packed generous muffin and fruit for me to take.. great assistance getting to the airport and putting bags on the buggy. And thanks for the yummy pie Brian!

There was nothing I didn’t like. I didn’t have a vehicle so had a bit of a walk to get dinner but the host’s recommendation was good at a reasonable price. Delivery service from local restaurants wasn’t available during the week for the two restaurants I called. Re cleanliness: everything was clean but dusting/wiping of some surfaces could have been more thorough.
