Holiday Inn Express Vancouver Airport-Richmond, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is easy to get to from the airport either via complimentary shuttle, taxi or skytrain. From check-in to housekeeping to breakfast prep, the staff is so welcoming, professional, helpful and friendly. The bed is super comfortable and offers you a selection of soft to firm pillows. The building is amazingly quiet considering there are huge jets flying over and very busy traffic right outside including Highway 99 and the very active Costco across the street. I didn’t use the gym but it sure looked good. Very professionally set up and with bonus individual TVs at each exercise machine

I just wish there were more restaurants and maybe a nice park within walking distance. However the sky train is about 600 m away and an easy trip to several areas of the city for hundreds of restaurants.

Clean, updated, comfortable and quiet. Loved the lighted bathroom mirror. Free shuttle service to & from Vancouver Airport. Sky Train close by for easy access around the city. It was only a 20 minute taxi ride to closest ferry terminal. Friendly & helpful staff. Basic but good breakfast. Located across from Costco. I had view of high rises & parking lots. Common view in cities.

Well appointed room, very clean and spacious. Very good bathroom, with shower over bath. Excellent toiletries. Staff very helpful with regards to info like 'nearest metro', recommended places to eat' etc

Our room, 316, was excellent - BUT the sliding balcony door didn't fit flush as the metal holder clip sited in the wall had worked loose. This resulted in more noise - especially aircraft noise - coming into the room, which did affect my sleep. That is my only complaint about the room, and I am sure easily remedied. Breakfast - express breakfast on offer just wasn't for me, though I could see many were using it.

Everything was very nice. Quick check in and check out. Big elevators - easy to put all your luggage inside. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very nice and satisfying. When I requested to book the shuttle to the airport, I was told it was fully booked for my requested time, and instead the hotel called me a taxi at their expense. How wonderful! There's a Costco across the street, asian supermarket and restaurants nearby. 10 minute walk to Burger King, Starbucks, liquor store, KFC.

I liked everything.

The hotel is a short distance off-airport but was priced very well (in fact we have two more reservations there in January, 2023). It is ideal for our purposes - an overnight stay after a long flight and a second overnight stay before an early morning flight. We find the room and facilities are well maintained and, for the price, a very good choice.

Dinner dining options in the area were quite limited. We walked a long way looking for something but ended up at a Chinese restaurant virtually across the street from the hotel. The shuttle bus runs only twice an hour. We obviously just missed one shuttle (from airport to hotel) and waited 35 minutes for the next shuttle. Inadequate in our opinion.

This is a very clean hotel. The rooms were spacious and nice amenities. The hotel staff was very helpful with restaurant recommendations, booking shuttles, etc. Probably the most helpful staff I have encountered at any hotel. The location was great since it was so close to the airport, and we had a very early flight. The shuttle arrived on time, and we were there in minutes. It was nice to have coffee and a little light breakfast available so early in the morning. I would recommend this hotel!

Everything was spotless clean. Staff was great and super helpful. Breakfast was perfect and a lot of variety. They have a variety of microwave food to buy that saves you a lot of time and money when you just want to eat and rest after a long trip. The shuttle from airport comes every half an hour which is very convenient. We rested after a very long trip and I could not think there is place that can be better after a long trip. We will stay again in here next time we are in Vancouver.

I liked everything won’t change anything. Keep the good service as it is.

Very nice and firm bed, and speedy check-in at the concierge. Location of course is superb and very close to airport. Good (hot) breakfast buffet available. Parking's free actually if you joined membership (which is free anyway).

Didn't come with a water kettle had to borrow a cheap plastic one from concierge with a deposit of $25sd, albeit this is refundable upon checkout. Minor inconvenience I suppose. Lighting of the hotel can use some real improvement -- a bit dimmed and a little depressing.

We arrived (moved from the hotel across the street) very early. It was still too early to check in and guest services staff cordially offered us to store our luggage in the storage room while we went out to explore the Vancouver. The location is perfect. Its close to the ariport and SkyTrain stop. Hotel has free shuttle to the airport which runs every 40 minutes. Rooms are clean and up to the standart.

Its quite costly and I think a bit overprised in peak season.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Good quality shampoo conditioner and body wash in the shower. The breakfast was good for the size of the breakfast area. We had a long wait after check out but we are able to watch TV in the dining area while we waited. They also provided a shuttle bus to the airport.

We needed a kettle to boil water for tea. There was only a coffee machine. Also we did not like the excessive use of plastic bags inside the paper coffee cups and plastic glasses. There was a recycle bin but would have been helpful to know exactly what is recyclable in Vancouver. Room overlooked the Costco supermarket very busy at night with large trucks arriving frequently.
