Gibsons Garden Hotel

We had 2 rooms, on 1st & 2nd floors. Both appeared to have been recently renovated so assume whole hotel has been. Large clean rooms, one had a small kitchenette which was well equipped, other room had microwave/mini fridge. Comfortable beds, great shampoo/conditioner (not cheap no name brand), quiet. Indoor pool was great for the kids and there was a sauna which was nice to use after being in the water. Small gym adjacent to pool. Very nice courtyard complete with goldfish pool.

Being that it is billed as a hotel, there is no restaurant or room service. However they do offer free coffee, juice, fruit and muffins in the lobby from 7-10 which was enough for us. There’s lots of restaurants in the area.

Gibsons garden is a perfect oasis in the heart of Gibsons. They have a beautiful outdoor garden and common areas, complete with a koi pond and gazebo. We were upgraded to an executive suite that was bigger than many apartments. It was well equipped, with a large kitchenette, bathroom and bedroom. I really appreciated the quiet ice cool A/C keeping us comfortable in the middle of a July heat wave. The top shelf Aveda shampoo/conditioner was a real treat! We used the pool and it was large, and decent. The dry sauna was nice and they had a good sized fitness facility. The little breakfast bar with locally roasted coffee, juices, fruit and muffins was a nice way to start the day. All in all the Gibsons Garden is a surprising gem of hotel, from friendly staff to great rooms and facilities. It is a very unique place in the Sunshine coast.

Hotel was clean and quaint - clearly the rooms had been renovated, and the outdoor garden was very pretty. Staff was helpful, and I was pleasantly surprised to see guest laundry was available. The coffee and muffins available in the morning were a nice surprise, too. A good value overall!

In one of the rooms, the fitted sheet had a hole in it -- a bit surprising since it should have been spotted. Staff provided another one after we asked for one. Besides that and a bit of light coming in from hallway and window, the stay was great.

Tabatha was fabulous. She was very helpful and she took care of all of our needs and requests! It doesn't look like too much from the outside but the room was top notch! They upgraded our room and we can't say how happy this made us. The room was unbelievable it was clean and large and had a fireplace and an amazing shower and great quality toiletries. .

The only downside was that the dispenser for hair conditioner in the shower wouldn't dispense very well

The breakfast room looked lovely but due to COVID restrictions it wasn’t available which is understandable. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and professional.

More flexibility with the booking with Booking.com. I had booked 3 to a room but wanted to change it to double occupancy for the one room and I booked another room for double occupancy as well. I also left a day early but because the booking was through booking.com the staff was unable to provide a partial refund or adjustment. This meant I paid for 2 rooms for 5 people but there was only 3 of us.

We did not have breakfast in the hotel ; We like the cleanness of the room n bedsheet n pillow are pretty new. Great house keeping job 👍

I will like to suggest plants that is indoor by the windows looking out the garden. Need to get more attention, many of them are not happy there. I can understand totally because it’s still winter n cold. Suggest some evergreen for indoor. And perhaps a few nice hanging basket during the summer by the entrance to the lobby. The young receptionist was really friendly n helpful. She was there when we checked out on Sunday am. We were pleased with her professionalism in her role in the hotel industry 👍

The room was exceptionally clean and if not recently renovated, it certainly appeared so. I was thankful to be able to go grab some fruit and a muffin at breakfast, something the other motels I stayed at in Gibsons had not provided. The inner courtyard was just delightful and a perfect place to read a book among the trees. I will definitely return.

Honestly, I liked everything.

We had a comfortable and spacious room. The room had everything we needed. I also wanted to note the curtains. They did not let in light and sound and allowed us to sleep well. The pool was spotless. There is a beautiful garden inside the hotel.

The windows overlooked the road and the curling center, where the air conditioner worked loudly at night. There are trucks parked in the parking lot near the hotel and it can be loud in the morning.

We enjoyed a week long stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast station has a limited selection, but was more than enough to get the day started! The courtyard garden is stunning!

Even at the hottest temperature, the water temperature was a bit chilly for baths/showers.

Very friendly and helpful staff were a highlight, they made a big difference in the hotel experience. Bed is large and comfortable. Garden is beautiful. Overall the hotel is well kept and quiet.

We had a suite. It was roomy but the furniture in it could use and upgrade. The dinning table and chairs were functional but dated from the 80s. The couch was also old, worn out, and uncomfortable. The springs made a lot of noise whenever you sat on it.
