This resort is an early timeshare dating back to the 80s, and we had stayed there with friends/owners in 1988 & 1997. We knew the facilities would be better than staying in a hotel, with good space and a full kitchen. The location is ideal for getting around the park, and the town is 3 km away.

Some parts of the resort are showing its age. The linens are clean and fresh, but the beds are tired. The pull-out couch was a source of humor - it folds back, but you need to learn the trick! Kitchen utensils were old, and the frying pan was quickly replaced when we asked.

Very large room. Nice to have lots of storage space and room to move around. The room features a small fridge and microwave, coffeemaker and tea kettle. The resort is located outside of Banff, so it's very quiet but you are close to the road leading further into Banff NP.

We had a room at the top floor (only acessible by stairs) with big pine trees in front of it so the room was quite dark and cool. Which was great for sleeping but made the bathroom very cold. Prices are high for all Banff accommodation. Considering the price for the room, a bit more attention to detail would be nice. We had to request some plates and bowls and cutlery as there were only 4 spoons, and nothing else. Front desk staff was not very nice and considering the prices and the length of stay a "thank you for staying with us" would have been nice when we checked out!

Good location about 2 miles outside of Banff town, away from the hustle and bustle. We had a mountain view from one of our side windows. Complimentary hotel bus service to and from Banff, which we didn't use as we had our own car and because it doesn't operate after 9.10 pm. Very nice room with 2 king size beds and coffee machine and fridge. There is a small indoor pool and hot tub, as well as an outdoor hot tub with a few loungers on a patio area. There is a small restaurant for lunch and evening meals but the bar isn't open between lunch and evening meal.

There wasn't any routine room service i.e. cleaning of room/bed making/bin emptying unless you asked for it 24 hours in advance. This was disappointing given the cost of the room.

The location was a 5 minute drive from town. The accommodations were slightly outdated but good enough. The breakfast offered in the lobby was not worth the price. They charged me a deposit each night of my stay that they said would be returned in a few days after my stay yet they didnt charge my card for the stay until checkout so not sure why the deposit wouldnt be immediately returned. Beautiful views of the mountains from the grounds and access to biking and walking paths. They offer a free shuttle to town which is great but they couldve has more earlier and later times.

I liked the location away from the downtown Banff hubub, and the convenience of having a fridge, stove, and microwave. I also loved being able to park right at my door. It was also good to have a cafe on sight if I didnt feel like cooking.

Not much but I noticed that there is no air conditioning for the summer months. Also, being evacuated due to moron(s) at Parks Canada deciding to light a fire when it was bone dry and 27 Celsius! Not your fault. Thank God Mother Nature intervened and sent a lot of much needed rain!

The cabin style, fully furnished with a kitchen. I especially appreciate the pots and pans. This gives us the chance to come up with healthy food that we could provide to our family with medical issues. The location was a short drive to the Banff downtown. So you could knock that out of your itineraries right away.

It was all good but I wish to have had some free little things like cooking oil that we couldn’t find anywhere around downtown to purchase if their expensive one and only grocery store would be closed. We wouldn’t want to carry the item walking around during the open hours. There’s none as well coming from the airport. Just difficult for us that come from another country. But really, everything was good.

I love the location and the modern woodsy feel. There was ample parking. The room had really high ceilings and a good air conditioner. The bathroom was modern. They let us check in early without an upcharge. It had a microwave and minifridge, and the sheets were comfy. Lots of pillows with different densities.

The sink had not been wiped out it looked almost like someone had been sick in it and forget to wash down the small chunks. There was also a small bit of something on the shower curtain. Some of the staff was a bit terse. There are definitely different amenities based on your room choice so read careful.

My wife and I are older so we needed help with loading and unloading our luggage. The evening when we arrived late meant that the night clerk had to help us and he was very pleasant and helpful. I don't remember his name but he was from the Philippines. The following morning we had breakfast in the restaurant and had a young lady originally from Japan who was very attentive and also very cheerful. When we left we had a young employee help us with our luggage. All three employees were exemplary and made our short stay great. Anything we asked was cheerfully responded to - We can't say enough about what great employees the hotel has. Thank you all!!!

Like all hotels in Banff the parking garages have tight spaces so you have to be careful. No problems but you have to be a little extra careful and patient to give others their proper space. So no problems just a word to the wise.

The accommodation is clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff were very helpful. I mentioned that the hairdryer in the room wasn’t working and it was replaced with a new one straight away.

Didn’t appreciate how far the resort was from the centre, needed a car to get to the shops and restaurants. However, this can be advantageous if you don’t like the crowds. Banff is a popular tourist destination.

Banff Rocky Mountain Resort was easy to find as you head into downtown. Just a few minutes off the Trans Canada Hwy. We were impressed with the quick check in. Our lodge was located across the street (resort is split) in room #1013, a second floor end unit. At first I didn't understand why one bed faced the door and one faced the wall, until I laid down and saw the mountains out the window!! It was absolutely beautiful to see every morning. Lots of parking available and they put dirt down in the early morning so it wasn't so slick to head out for the day. All the staff were friendly - smiled or waved.

It was a bit of a let down that the indoor hot tub was out of service (until further notice). We weren't told that on check in either. It was a bit of an inconvenience to pack up, walk back across the road just to find that out. There is an outdoor one but it had enough ppl in it already. Instead we went back to our room and made good use of the large bathtub instead! The one morning we decided to have breakfast at the restaurant, it ended up being a buffet instead. Again no notice or even hint that it changes. Being so close to downtown, we just drove to a cute little spot and had something to eat.
