Check in was easy and the receptionist was really efficient and helpful. Our room was a fairly decent size, the view wasn't that great but we didn't spend huge amounts of time in the actual room. Our bathroom was particularly small but adequate for what we needed. The bed was genuinely really comfortable. We did think parking was expensive at $14 per day but actually we very quickly realised that parking in Banff is very limited, so parking under the hotel was absolutely worth every penny. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Breakfast service was really slow but that is the only negative.

People were friendly. John in the concierge helping us where to go was great. I was able to do a lot because of his recommendations. I was going around telling people I saw moose but he was kind enough to correct me that what I saw was an elk. Haha. Location was great. Happy that there was laundry room. Would have wanted to know about that before going though. I overpacked. Ample parking made me feel at ease.

I slip coming out of the bathtub but that was due to my clumsiness. However I would recommend more handles in the washrooms as I noticed there were quite a bit of elderlies in the hotel. The pillow was too thick. Bed could have been better. The blankets didn’t work for me as it kept slipping.

I stayed with BPL for the second time, and I appreciated that they considered my suggestion to relocate the ski storage indoors from my previous visit. Overall, BPL provides exceptional service, with staff that go above and beyond, spacious rooms, and an unbeatable location in town.

If I have to pick some downsides, the amenities/interior design are outdated. The room lighting creates a somber atmosphere, and the bed frame cover and shower curtain show signs of wear and tear. The bathroom sink drain emits a musty odor, while the towels and sheets reek of excessive bleach. Furthermore, there is a considerable space between the door and the floor that results in excessive light seeping in, disturbing my sleep.

Amazing location, steps away from Banff ave! The rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. Loved the kettle, coffee machine and mini fridge. Underground parking is affordable and a great perk, everyone with a car should definitely use. We were only there for a night so didn’t end up going to their restaurants, but they looked great from what we saw. Also mobile check-in made it extremely easy to get our keys when we reached, under 5 mins. Would recommend.

Their complimentary car wash was out of order, would’ve been a nice extra. Our key card wasn’t programmed properly from the get go, had to come back for it. You should double check at the reception before heading to the parking.

Within a few minutes walk to bars and restaurants. Good underground parking. Excursions to Banff Gondola picked up outside hotel. walking distance to train station. Nestlers supermarket nearby.

Pointless doing online check in prior to arrival. when we arrived, there was no concierge and had to queue, which was quite lengthy. Room was very dark, bedding covers need replacing as are threadbare. Air conditioning unit was old and barely made a difference. There is construction work going on locally and the main road is very busy, ask for a room over the garage and not on ground floor (no privacy).

I liked room, location, view from our room and parking. Parking is located on underground of the hotel, and it was very convenient. It took only a few minutes from the hotel to downtown. So it was easy for everything like shopping, lunch and dinner. You can go to Bow River by walking, too. It was less than 10 minutes to Nancy Pauw Bridge, opened in September 2022, by walking, and it has nice view of both of Cascade Mountain and Mt. Rundle!

We asked bath robes, and we thought it was free. When we checked out, we got to know they were charged. They should have said something when we asked...

The room was great, excellent water pressure, clean room and awesome staff. They accommodated our large group and had us all close together. The kids loved the pool, and hottubs, and we enjoyed the sauna

The paid outdoor parking for a full size truck was tough, and i even had to move it once, as i got a call from the concierge concerned about delivery trucks getting through. Even-though i moved, 2 full size trucks were there the next morning, in the same spots.

The staff at this hotel are excellent, so helpful and although the hotel isn’t modernly decorated (as per other reviews) we found it charming, lodge style like it was supposed to be, family friendly and cozy. The roaring fireplace when you enter was so appreciated, and so was the warm sauna. It’s in a great location, we only stayed one night and then went to stay across the street at Peaks. We said when we come back (because we had such a great time), we are going to stay the whole time at Banff Park Lodge.

superb location , Rooms were very clean, nice view .

I was given the underground parking direction with the code, and I asked about charges for parking, to which the person in the reception told me that it's free and no parking charges till be taken. While checking out, there was a charge of CAD 14 for each day of our stay. If the charges were told to us in the first place, we would probably have checked around to see what options we had ( as we took public transport for most of the inside Banff commute)

We booked this hotel because it was a good place to stay prior to and after our Backroads hiking trip. Best things about it: Location, proximity to river, museums, restaurants and other sights. The breakfast was better than many. My dinner was very good but unfortunately my husband's was not. There is a helpful concierge service. We liked the layout of the room, large with two sinks but poor lighting in bathroom. The bed was a little too soft and the air conditioner was a little noisy and a little difficult to regulate. The views from the rooms were not exciting. The employees were very nice! We would look at other accommodations and weigh in their advantages/disadvantages and compare them with the price if we were to visit again.
