Pension Riedl

It is super well located in district 1. Very near the tram station and good restaurants. The bed was really comfortable, and the room had a nice view.

It doesn’t have wifi so that’s was frustrating. They provide you with free wifi that comes and goes. I hope you get your own wifi.

Super location, and they allowed us to leave our bags when we checked out (although it wasn’t a storage room, just on the floor inside the reception). the beds were comfortable and we had our own bathroom

the shower/toilet made extremely loud noises whenever you used them, it sounded like a clunking/growling noise. It made us feel awkward about showering/using the toilet at night, and sometimes woke us up. The keys are metal and extremely loud so if anyone is entering their room you can hear it and it can disturb you. The walls are quite thin, and we could hear children running around until 11pm at night/very early in the morning.

Location is just few minutes walk from the Schwedenplatz train station. There's a nearby Billa grocery and some restaurants. Few minutes walk to the town centre and a park. It's near Kursalon where Sound of Vienna do their Mozart and Strauss concerts. It's just few minutes walk to Mozart Monument and Beethoven's Platz. Receptionist was so kind enough on giving us informations on best places to visit.

Elevator was broken during our whole stay. We have to use the stairs going up to the 4th floor. No help to carry our heavy luggages going upstairs and going downstairs. The owner of the building should upgrade their elevator as it's already obsolete.

Great location, very large room, bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was very clean.

Lack of communication from hotel. Reception is only open for a limited time, which is ok, but there is supposed to be someone available by phone, pity they don't answer when you call. We tried both numbers to find out where to park but nobody would answer to help us and we ended up with a parking ticket. The manager wouldn't speak to us and wouldn't assist us with any assistance on how to pay. Nothing on the website about where to park except that they will advise, but no one is there or answering phones. Was a disappointing start to our otherwise pleasant stay.

Amazing localization - it is super close to downtown, just few minutes by foot. There is also underground parking just few meters from the hotel so you can leav your car there. It is 40Euros for 24hrs but you can buy parking ticket at the reception desk for 24Euros.

Unfortunatelly the folding sofa was impossible to sleep on - very uncomfortable. We found some sweets papers under the bed and it wasn't ours - so it could be cleaner. There was no AC, only fans, we were spending there only one night so it wasn't that big of a deal, but for longer stay it might be problematic cause it was very hot at night.

Location is near metro ( 7-10 min walk), parking in front is expensive but you can buy parking vouchers from the pension with 24 eur/day (for 2 days we had to pay almost 80 eur but we end up paying 48), we had a balcony, place is clean, easy check-in, there is an elevator. Our room had tiles on the floor and it was cold so bring slippers. Nice bathroom, water pressure is very good, good bed, coffee&tea in the room.

Nothing was that bad except for the expensive parking, the walls that are thin ( for people sensitive to this) and cold floor.

The location is very central - you can reach the main sights and all the restaurants and cafes within a few minutes. There's a cheap parking just opposite the canal. The building itself is very beautiful as is the hallway and the view through the windows. Our windows were facing a nice square which was quite during the night. The room was comfortable and clean. There was tea and coffee provided in the room and the breakfast area has a coffee machine as well as extra drinks available to purchase. The reception hours are short but the self-check-in was smooth with clear instructions. We did even get an earlier check-in as requested.

Very central location. Really quiet, comfortable sleep, warm but not hot, large and spacious. Good water supply in shower, all bathroom facilities nice and modern. Plentiful, fresh breakfast very reasonably priced. Reception staff spoke excellent English and was pleasant. The building entrance is magnificent.

Room was not cleaned well, we found opened jam packets and a used nappy behind bedstead. Individual duvets rather than a big one. When operating shower loud noise from? tank. Make sure you book breakfast early for a Sunday (you have to prebook the day before). Room needs a little update (burnt window drapes, floor lamp not working).

Location was great. Close to airport bus val 2 bus stop, easy access to old town, Prater and everything else. Room was clean and quite, exept this room is next to staff room and i heard some talking to my room, but it did not bother (happened in the morning time when staff was around). Very good rain shower and bathroom. Good bed.

I dont know about the breakfast because i didnt took it (cost 10e, not included in my room price).

It is a very nice ould building, it is very central and well connected, it is quiet, and if you don't have much bagages, you can get there on foot from the CAT station (fast train direct service to the airport). Likewise, the room is not so big, but cozy, clean, and has a nice view! The living room is also cool. In general, the pension is very nice, and we have really enjoyed our stay!!

I think it is a good option to go as a couple or with friends, not so much with children. As a recommendation, you guys should consider putting air conditioning in the rooms, or at least fans, for the hot months. The heat was strong at times.
