Sand Dunes Resort Accommodation

we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor ( no stairs ). excellent apartment with heaps of room, very clean and modern. so much room for a family with 2 kids. the lagoon pool is amazing. great heated pool and hot spa also. the local beach is a 2 minute walk away also. SO GOOD... You dont even have to leave, it is so relaxing. 100% we will be back.

the apartment was not very well stocked for staples. only provisions for 2 washing machine cycles and 2 dish washer cycles. they are tight on the toilet paper too. that aspect was a little disappointing for the price. the resort is very close to sunshine coast airport, expect loud aircraft noise once or twice an hour during daylight hours ( didn't bother us at all ) but nothing after dark.

The king bed could have had the option of a memory foam topper. It was ok but I woke up in pain every morning due to firmness of mattress. I like a softer one Likes the roof balcony but can only use when sun isn’t so hot. Tall table and chairs but not that comfortable but a good idea and nice to have Well appointed kitchen with pretty much everything but could do with triple the amount of cutlery! Well air conditioned too. In every room. It is a large apartment. Bit of a walk around to the pool area so didn’t use the bbq area to eat. Had a large table with chairs on the large balcony

Our room was in the section with 6 doors off the stairwell. Our room was the only one with a controlled door closure. So, had to listen and feel doors slamming violently! Occurred 20 times with other families running between apartments below us. The balcony door is open and when the hallway door closes it smashes. The vibrations are enormous! Should be mandatory for all rooms to have an auto door closure. It truly is going to wreck your door jams!

We had a ground floor unit and could access the main pool straight from the unit (through our own safety gate). The spa was probably the biggest that I have seen in an Australian resort. There is also a smaller warm pool (warmth also grows throughout the day). Whole resort is clean and well maintained. Spacious apartments. A number of permanents here too. Well patronised gym. We were able to checkin after office hours using a code to get key. There is a bus at the door and you can walk to shops ( it is 350 metres). No major supermarket there but ordering click and collect in advance makes that no big deal. Went to a restaurant in Marcoola, and walked to that but it is a 15 min walk, paved but limited lighting . To get to a swimable beach you can’t go just behind resort, due to permanent beach warning signs (drops/rips) but you can walk down a bit, or do a short drive. Units have a car park.

No pool towels and office was shut over weekend so ask for these to be in room (fee)

Love the pool, security, clean apartment, close to beach, gardens bbq area, the vibe of the area. Staff friendly .

Bathrooms need more cleaning esp windows screens. We fixed sliding doors in bedroom, changed flickering toilet light, had to reconfigure TV it was setup strangely by previous owner, there were lots of ants in the bath and shower. Not enogh cutlery. Next time prefer another room rather than number 30. But we love the sanddunes.

We were on the ground floor which was great to access to pool straight off our outdoor space. Apartment was spacious and clean. Main bedroom was nice and the bed was really comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

Would be nice to have other basic supplies like oil, salt and pepper for those only staying for a short time, to have to buy these items is a bit of a waste. Not the fault of the accommodation, but the area is very quiet so had to hop on a bus to go to other areas that were more lively. Also quite difficult to get a taxi to take you to the airport due to the close proximity.

The 2 bdrm unit had 3 aircons but we cldnt get the temp below 22 degrees, the units wld just stop so not cold enough for us, the internet was very unreliable but overall it was a lovely resort, great staff, gorgeous pools and lovely unit. Wld return.

Wld have loved a restaurant in the complex and a buffet breakfast wld have been excellent but we got food in so was all good. A lift wld have been great as we were on the 3rd floor but good exercise I spose.

We had an early flight arrival, I called the day before if possible for an early check-in, the reception advised 11am is ok. When we landed, I received a text message "room is ready" which was earlier than 11am (much appreciated) we stayed 4 nights. Pool is huge and clean. The heated spa is a bonus. Room is very spacious, clean, bed/pillow extremely comfortable. Overall, the atmosphere is lovely. Planning another trip back to Sand Dunes Resort.

If I had to pick something, minor. The TV in the main bedroom is very tiny, could do with an upgrade.

Like the proximity to the beach Helpful and very nice staff that have been amazing from the day we booked the apartment Great heated pool and spa, even in Winter it was still great Bedrooms were spacious Kitchen to cook Nice balcony with views on the pool Bus station just at the entrance of the resort

No restaurants for dinner close by if you don't drive it is difficult to eat out. Nothing really around apart the beach, so definitely need a car or you must be happy to take the bus. No board games as advertised so it was a bit disappointed for the kids and I to not have this option. It would have been nice to have the reception opens on a Saturday afternoon. They close at 12. But overall it was really amazing 😃

Stayed to attend a family celebration. It met the brief very well for that purpose. Great and huge pool with options from very chilly 'natural' temp to heated and warm spa. Very inviting.

Pillows were very thick and hard. Not to our preference and other options to select from. Unit had full laundry and a clothes airer. Problem was there were no pegs. Seems minor but really a straightforward laundry inclusion that is simply remedied.

Rooms are so spacious and so clean. Beautiful and so convenient access to the beautiful beaches. And the pool is so huge and didn't realise that other rooms had access straight into the main pool. My family was actually in the private ones and even there whole entire house is convenient for a huge family including spa on the roof tops is fantastic. Receptionist was so nice and thank you for shorts👌It's a 10 for me and thank you I had a wonderfull stay and will recommend to others. 10/10😊 Thank you.✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

I didn't decide to stay longer. My socket for my charger dosent work in your hotel but I found a charger in your laundry stuff and thank you for that. I have put it back in the basket
