The rooms are a good size - a bit like a one bedroom apartment i.e. included a small kitchen and lounge area. It's in a nice area. Friendly and helpful staff. Old style and Good value for money

It's quite a hike uphill from the station so would not want to try walk there with luggage.

The location was great, easy walk to center town and other attractions0 but be warned that Seattle is on hills.

The only issue is there is no air- conditioning in the room. There is a fan that helped but it would be uncomfortable in really hot weather.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the water was cold and delicious or hot as needed. Very nice shower. Everything was very clean. The lobby rooms are very pretty with some interesting paintings and a beautiful fireplace. The location is great, walkable to all over downtown and across the street from a lovely hotel restaurant called Stella. Superior coffee at Retro Coffee down the hill and great pastries or Vietnamese food right around the corner.

The entryway is not always staffed so it could seem a bit lonely. Also, you have you let them know if you want your room done up. The carpet was thoroughly vacuumed but badly in need of replacing - the room had a a bit of a funny smell. Weekday early mornings there was some very loud garbage truck noise for a little while. Very small bathroom.

We loved that we had a corner room, so we had 3 windows in our room. I loved the vintage vibes, and the history behind the building. I loved the closest space, it was spacious! I loved the door bell and the glass knobs for the bathroom doors. I want to know where I can buy it for my own home. It was so beautiful to me. I also loved the trees,

My husband didn't like that there was no air conditioning, but for me it was okay, because it was very breezy and in the morning it was colder than normal. He didn't like that the tv, was so low and the wires was hanging from the back, I didn't mind it, because I was working on my computer and it didn't bother me. My husband didn't like anything about it.

Really cute vintage feel. The lobby sitting room is really pretty. Staff that checked us in was nice and got us checked in really quickly. The elevator is definitely an antique so it makes some crazy noises but the rooms are adorably old school. We came on a cooler day so it wasn't so bad, we just opened the windows. Walking distance to alotta things but hills galore so mentally prepare. We came for a show at the Paramount Theater and it definitely tied in the whole vintage 20s vibe for us. Would 100% stay again.

No AC is a bit of a bummer but understandable considering how old the building is. Luckily the high was only 80 while we were there so it was bearable.

We were treated very good at the desk...answering questions, general conversation, and history. The room was clean although very dated and not in decor of the rest of building. We were impressed with the kitchen but it did need some supplies i.e. spoons, dish (even if paper), etc. We were not familiar with Seattle, but felt safe in the location and walked out and found a wonderful "hamburger joint". Next morning we also discovered a very original type bakery.

We had arranged for a cab but it was late and we were getting panicky. The roads around the area were being worked on and some were closed.

The Baroness is quirky in the best way and it just felt homey in a way most hotels don’t. I am in love with the elevator. Perfect location for anybody seeking medical treatment at Virginia Mason. Planning to stay here again in a few weeks.

It didn’t bother me with my hearing loss, but my mom said the ambulance noise across the street kept her awake in the night. She bought earplugs and was fine after that. We didn’t struggle with the lack of AC, though, and it was quite toasty in Seattle during our visit. It was quite comfortable with fans.

This is an older property that has kept the grandmotherly decor which gives a homey feel. The suite (bedroom, bathroom, living room and small kitchen) is spacious and comfy and very clean. Nothing fancy but meets all the basic needs for an overnight stay (or longer if you are using the nearby medical facilities). Not in a touristy area but not far from the Freeway Park and the high rises of downtown and a few blocks from the beautiful Saint James Cathedral. There was a drug store nearby as well as some tasty restaurants and a great bakery. The staff was cheerful and helpful. A good value.

The location is great! You are close to both Pike Place and the Starbucks Roastery area (lots of restaurants here) and yet the neighborhood is very safe, green and residential (no late noise party noises). The furnishings are a bit dated but I think that added to the charm of the place. We are not big air conditioning fans so having just a fan in the room was perfect for us! There was a fridge, a coffee machine and a microwave in the room. We had our breakfast in the room (bought stuff from the whole foods a few blocks away and made it in the room) and it was lovely! Frankly this hotel offers a lot more than you’d expect!

This is an older residential hotel on a quiet street, but with a fairly central location. I stayed here during a professional meeting at the Seattle Convention Center, which is a just a few blocks away. The suite was ample in size, clean, quiet, and provided very comfortable, firm beds. Full-sized refrigerator, stove, and microwave if you wish to cook. This was a good value for the price (in comparison to nearby hotels), and I would certainly stay here again if I had the opportunity.

The elevator was vintage, and a bit slow, but certainly not lacking in character! Staff at the front desk are helpful, but staffing itself is limited. After 5pm any needs have to be addressed by the staff at the affiliated hotel across the street. This is not much of an inconvenience, though.
