Hotel Distil, Autograph Collection

What stands out instantly is the location. When visiting Louisville as part of a Bourbon Trail weekend you'll have off times in which you can walk and explore. Turn right out of this hotel and you're there. Eight minutes to Angels Envy; 14 minutes to Michters; 1min to Old Forrester; 5 minutes to the Louisville Loop and the mighty Ohio River. The other very noteworthy comment is that this city has a great energy to it; a wonderful 'vibe!' People smile; investors have saved the old buildings and the results are magnificent with architectural detail you'll never find in post 1950's construction. Add to that the people that smile and nod when you stroll by.

This is one I'll struggle with but we realized after the weekend that we could have easily gotten by without a rental. The airport is 12minutes away; all the tours include your transport vans; restaurants are near enough you can just Uber when needed. Maybe the answer is I didn't like not realizing I didn't need a car until it was too late? No real dissapointments anywhere in this trip!

We absolutely love this hotel! It was located in the center of downtown and the staff was so willing to help and so friendly and courteous. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there again soon...Thank you so much Hotel Distil for an awesome stay! I think from now on , we'll stay at a 4 star hotel.

The only thing we didn't like were the pillows but all the hotels we frequent pillows are always flat and not from enough....they are just too too soft

Staff was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks in Repeal was great. Clean rooms and very updated.

I asked for champagne to be in my room when we arrived, which was confirmed by hotel. It was an anniversary and said you would do it, there was no follow through on request. Also, we had brunch at the Repeal on Saturday. I order a burger and there was human hair in my food. The waiter was great and did what he could. I am very shocked and displeased that the manager didn’t come to apologize or even say anything. I also paid full price for the meal, waiter did gave us a couple mimosas which was nice since I had to wait like 20 mins. Would have got 10 of 10 if manager would have talked to me about hair in food and if you followed through with the one request for champagne in the room.

Staff was great, bed was firm, free water and the free cocktail at 730. Location was great!

Bathroom/shower could’ve been cleaner, very basic wipe up job from last guest. Pillows were super flat and uncomfortable. Bed sheets also were questionable as to whether they were changed or not, had stuff under the comforter that made us second guess and glad we brought spare sheets.

Great location. Our room had an excellent view of the city. Clean, modern design. Functional room design, which was great for sharing with my spouse, in particular, having the bathroom shower and sink separate from the toilet. Enjoyed the hotel restaurant bar on several nights.

The fan in the toilet didn't work. The valet setup is hectic during busy times due to the small amount of space to pull cars in and out on Main street.

The service we received from the minute we got there was great! The Valet was very good. The front desk staff was very good. The restaurant Repeal was AMAZING! We ate there twice. Once in the bar and once in the dining area with a reservation. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the way the bathroom was arranged was nice. We enjoyed our stay and can not wait to come back!

I can not say there was anything we didn't like about Hotel Distil. We were in Louisville to go to tasting rooms, distilleries and good restaurants and we had a tough time doing that due to the times they were open and being closed due to covid and the Labor day holiday.

Location was great as was the restaurant. Hotel was very clean and well maintained and staff very attentive.

Valet is a little chaotic as there’s only space for three cars before spilling out into traffic. Not a fan of having bathroom vanity at entry to room/separate from shower and water closet.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff is great, they are so accommodating and attentive. This was our second time here and I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff is top notch. And A++ because they are dog friendly. My pup had a good stay here as well. :) We will definitely be coming back if we ever need to stay in Louisville over night again. And shout out to Douglas for quickly getting our car and helping us get ready to get back on the road.

very clean and wonderful staff. Makayla at the front desk was a true gem and the sweetest. The valet, Thomas, was very helpful and so friendly.

The pillows were terrible. there is nothing to them. Yes they are fluffy but the minute you lay in them they are flat.

Perfect location close to restaurants, distilleries and the KFC Yum Center. Modern facilities, comfortable bed, great shower, great toiletries provided, and a quick check in process.

Price seemed a little high for a one night stay in Louisville. A little tough to check in without first parking your car in the garage across the street or paying for valet. There's not an easy "staging area" outside to drop off your bag if you aren't doing valet.
