The Rutledge Inn

Courteous service, quite environment, good TV display and channel selection, well-functioning air conditioner, comfortable Queen bed, good bathroom facilities (we didn't use the shower), perfect location for our needs.

Our only disappointment was the lack of fresh fruit (such as bananas) at breakfast and the lack of a low-sugar dry cereal, such as Cheerios. One of your cereal dispensers is labeled "Cheerios", but it contained some other sugary cereal (this was also the case the last time we stayed at the Rutledge Inn). If the breakfast had included bananas and cheerios, I would have given you an excellent rating across the board.

Quiet, clean, friendly staff, comfortable. I didn't use the shower, so I don't know how well it worked. Have stayed at the Rutledge Inn numerous times, most times with my wife, but alone this time. I was born and raised in Luverne, which, as you may know, is a larger town bordering on the little hamlet of Rutledge. I'd traveled from Huntsville to Luverne, via Troy for a funeral, so see my sister in the hospital. It was just an overnight trip.

I would like to have had a more healthy breakfast. At least one dry cereal should be sugar-free (e.g., regular Cheerios). It would be nice to have an egg of some sort for the protein (waffles are out of the question for me). The high-carbohydrate offerings of the Continental breakfast are not very healthy. It would be worth a modest increase in the rental cost to have more protein in the breakfast. Otherwise, this Inn is an excellent place to stay. Very quiet, confortable with freindly staff.

I love this little inn. We stay here on our way to PCB all the time. It's such a cute little town. Staff s exceptionally nice. Place is always clean.

Bedding could really use some updating. Also Breakfast. If you are gluten free, need fresh options, or need protein options there are NONE. Which made it hard as I need to eat to take my meds. in the morning. It is a smaller hotel that may not get enough visitors to be able to keep fresh fruit due to cost and such. But maybe some frozen sausage biscuits you could have the meat out of, or some boiled eggs in a bowl in the fridge would not be a huge loss if they don't get used. At minimum some protein bars that are lower in carbs and sugars.

Friendly staff ,they spoke whenever you came in ask how your day was. The Rutledge Inn was very clean... and quiet... Except for a couple rude kids that were staying there running through the halls grabbing the door handles on your room. But once they left we were all good everything quiet...

need little more parking areas and little bigger breakfast area.. need some rooms with pull out sofa / love seat in room to give a twin or full extra bed so you have a place for children.

I thought the value for our room was excellent. I wish the pool had been open. Everything was clean. The staff friendly.

There were some maintenance items that needed attention in our room. Fire alarm needed to be attached to the wall, the toilet paper holder was not adhered to the wall it was just set in a while. The counter top In bathroom was coming detached from the wall. But really these were minor and we would certainly stay there again.

The room was clean, the staff was friendly and courteous. The area was quiet. Not a lot to see, but if you are in the area and looking for a decent place to stop and rest I recommend this hotel. I of course have family in the area to visit and that is the reason I use this hotel.

I have visited this hotel a few times and the pillows are awful and there are never enough on the beds.

Breakfast was quick and easy with a nice little variety of choices. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The pillows were too flat for my liking but I usually travel with my own so it really didn’t matter to me.

Close to Goshen hunting location. Did not get to try out your breakfast. Everyone was very friendly and courteous. Bed was comfortable. If we come that way again we will stay with you again.

The staff was polite, courteous and helpful. The room was clean and nice size.

I didn't like that the ice machine didn't work on the second floor had to go downstairs to get ice. I didn't like they didn't have enough in pillows for the bed.I didn't like they only had cereal, package cakes, no full breakfast.

Staff are very nice, accessible and very helpful.

Breakfast was a bit sparse but to be expected. This is not a 4 star hotel. Good, basic place to lay your head for a quiet, comfortable sleep.
