Prime location in Bembridge, right by the harbour and beach Easy check-in using a door code, so we could be flexible about when we arrived Clean, cosy and comfortable room Great beers from the pub/microbrewery Extremely friendly and helpful staff

Breakfast was only served for 1 hr and was quite minimal: cereals and toast (2 hrs and some of the local croissants would have been ideal!) Wifi was patchy, but it is a rural location and we were meant to be on holiday, so not a big deal

George was very helpful, with suggestions of things to do and friendly. Room was neat, comfortable, security system easy to use. Good cup of tea prepared . Beer prices low and selection good.

Rough parking lot, pot holes, old abandoned van, back service entrance to the rooms.Busy road outside window. No view of sea. Waterfront area tired, industrial feel .

Nice and bright room (we were in the Bridge room). Very relaxed and the beds were very comfortable. Lovely clean and tidy shower with modern features. The location is lovely and you can walk to the beach. Lovely host, George, who made us feel very welcome.

We had wi-fi difficulties. We connected fine but did not stay connected so had to use our mobile data. Lap-top seemed to stay connected better than our phones though so possibly our phones were not that good at holding the signal.

We stayed in the Captains Cabin which is on the ground floor with its own external door, there are however a couple of steps up into the room. It comprises a lounge, a bedroom and separate bathroom with shower. The lounge has a small table and chairs, sink, fridge and cupboards at one end and a sofa and TV unit at the other. The bedroom is large and has two single beds that can be set up as a very large double of excellent quality. There is a drawer unit and mirror plus some wall hooks and hangers in the bedroom. The lounge has an opening skylight that provides great ventilation. It's an excellent space for anyone staying with dogs (we have two labs) as there is plenty of room for their beds and you aren't falling over them, plus the beach and harbour is literally two minutes across the road. The road isn't busy. A continental breakfast of sorts is served in the pub/restaurant next door. The pub is a micro brewery and serves a variety of very pleasant beers. Evening meals are available and are large portions. However the crowning glory is its Pizzas. They are excellent. As are the staff, with Kat and Norman getting special mention as happy and helpful. The bar closes at 10 so isn't noisy.

The continental breakfast lacks croissants or pastries and is mainly cereal, toast and two types of fruit. This despite croissants being mentioned in the room documents. The coffee however is very good. The Captains cabin doesn't need a cooker but would benefit from a microwave. If you would prefer the full cooked breakfast choices the Harbour Cafe just across the road is very good. We were disturbed once at night around eleven with furniture moving "upstairs" and again around 7am, but would hope this isn't a usual feature.

The Captain's Cabin at the Pilot Boat Inn is effectively a one bedroom flatlet with its own private entrance; the large bed was very comfortable; having a separate Lounge with a door that could be closed was a bonus as we had our dog with us and this allowed us to keep her out of the bedroom. Parking is directly outside the entrance door, so unloading bags etc was very easy.

The shower room was a little cool (the only heating being an electric towel rail) but then we were staying in late November.

nice clean room comfortable bed good en suite. Continental/breakfast good Met by George the owner at breakfast very friendly jovial fellow, served us whatever coffee we needed. Only thing we missed out on is that the restaurant and tap room to the attached mini brewery didnt open till wednesday for the week, did however buy a keg of the brew which i'm sure will go down well. All in all a good stay and would recommend a stay.

Location is perfect but then again Bembridge is a perfect little village anyway. Staff were nice, polite and helpful with allowing me to store luggage before check in too. On site brewery is a great little local business and worth checking out.

Only one thing really, the Lichfield's hot chocolate in the room is vile, honestly, don't drink it, it's not worth the assault on the taste buds.

We did not expect much when we booked, however upon arrival could tell this was much better than we ever expected (especially for the price we paid)! Was a friendly greeting, and such a lovely room. Cleanest bathroom I've ever seen. And such a lovely powerful shower. And the BED.. Honestly the comfiest bed ever, with the best night's sleep. Again, didn't expect much for breakfast as knew it was just continental, but that was very satisfying, with tea/coffee, Juice, toast, fruit, yogurts, cereal etc. We also chose to eat here in the evening which was for pizzas, and these were again, the best pizzas! Accommodated to our dietary needs, and was so tasty, and reasonably priced! With a lovely cosy atmosphere. Overall, thank you so much to George and Juliette and all the staff at the Pilot Boat Inn for such a fabulous stay!

Nothing.

Very friendly owners, room very clean. Car space available outside.

Disappointed evening bar / restaurant service not open, however understand due to Covid this was impacted. However, a walk up to the Crab and lettuce for dinner was well worth the walk.

Excellent position in walking distance of a quiet beach. Welcoming and friendly proprietor - nothing too much trouble. Messaged with detailed parking and location instructions. Very clean and well stocked complimentary tray. Super continental breakfast with plenty of choices. Would recommend without hesitation
