The location of the hotel is wonderful! Quiet and close to so many off the beaten track hiking trails to explore the fairy chimneys. We also had some of the best views of the balloons from just above the hotel. Our children loved the little caves right behind the hotel to explore. The rooms were very clean, and we loved sitting on the front balcony after a day of exploring. They were also very spacious and comfortable. The restaurant also did great meals downstairs (the actual hotel is about a 5 to 10 min walk downtown to other cafes). There is a higher end kebab restaurant next door also worth exploring. Our kids also loved the petting zoo out front! Amenities overall were great!

Our bathroom had major plumbing issues (flooding during showering and emptying of the tub). We also found the restaurant staff (except one lovely girl) to be quite poor in service. A few mornings the breakfast wasnt replenished, and after a tour group came through earlier (we had to clean our table to sit at) while staff watched. We were a little shocked by the state of the restaurant after this early morning tour came through. We also often had to wait up to 30 mins for a latte/juice for the kids which was not included in the breakfast. Our suggestion is to offer this for free, or even have early morning coffee service to accompany the balloon watching! 🎈

The hotel was really central and in the middle of Göreme. Everything around was at walking distance. The hotel itself is very well-designed with a lot of different cave rooms. We tried the standard and the Troglodytes cave. We preferred the second because of the additional space and the view. The breakfast buffet was very well furnished. You can even see lovely ladies preparing local sandwiches at request. The best was also the staff. Extremely nice and helpful. A special thanks to Ali who arranged so many things for us. (Tours & Transfers). We highly recommend this hotel and we will come back with great pleasure!

The mattresses were soft. So if you are the kind of people who appreciate firm ones, you might find it difficult to have a good rest.

Breakfast spread was great. The pool, it's seating area, the terrace and the the surrounding areas to relax in were big and very kid friendly (bunnies in cages, etc). Our room for 3 was big and had a balcony. It looked like you could take small hikes and trails right from the hotel area to explore some of the rock formations.

Not understanding the layout of Goreme having never been there before, this hotel was not in the main area where many of the cave hotels are. This meant parking was easy and everything was still close. One lesson learned, most of the hotels say they are Cave hotels or have "cave" in their name, but most of the rooms are not in caves, very few are. They do have a bar, but it doesn't serve alcohol.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Cave Hotel, the pools are clean and a very nice addition to the property. There is also a beautiful garden seating area (where you can enjoy your Turkish tea if you choose so) with a little pet zoo for children to enjoy. Our kids loved this Hotel and it was hard getting them to leave. The breakfast was full of many choices and a nice start for the day. Definitely get up early and head to the roof top sitting area to see the sunrise and the hot air balloons. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. Dinner over by the pool at the hotel’s restaurant was good (especially the salads). Within walking distance to shopping and other restaurants. We enjoyed the walk to the gift shops after dinner.

We had really great time at Holiday Cave Hotel. Good position, next to Goreme city centre but far from noise, surrounded by fariry chimneys. The room was really clean and we also enjoyed the restaurant. It's possible to admire the balloons at sunrise in their terrace. There are 3 swimming pools: two are for children, the big one has not any entrance in shallow water only ladders in deep water.

Holiday Cave Hotel is in a good location and the surroundings were nice too. Just that the street was under construction/renovation. This made it very challenging to locate the place, especially when driving to the place. The breakfast was good. We were lucky to be there on the weekend, so we enjoyed the home made parathas (stuffed flat bread). Room cleaning was good and prompt. The staff at the restaurant (especially Sophia) was kind and attentive. The patio was grand. There is a little zoo of small animals for kids entertainment. A special note for Ali at the reception: Ali was exceptionally kind and catered to all our needs and went an extra mile to suit our requirements. Correspondences with Ali while booking also was very swift and helpful. He is one of the best host/reception we met in our Turkey trip. Thank you Ali.

The room was comfortable for a cave. Too dark though. Can use some lighting. The throw on the bed (blue), not the sheets ( sheets were very clean), needs a washing. The bathroom had a a strange stench. But if you keep the exhaust on, there is some relief. I guess that is the down side of a cave residence.

The location was great, close to centre. The room was perfect, way above our expectations, massive and very clean, with daily cleaning service. Lovely garden, lovely swimming pools and lovely relaxation areas. The food was really good and anything we asked for, we have never been told no, extremely accommodating. All the staff was amazing, but we would like to say a massive Thank You to Ali from reception and Aziz from the hotel’s restaurant, they went above and beyond to make our stay great, from helping us book all the tours and taxis, to accommodating any request we had for our meals. All said, we loved everything about this hotel. We had an amazing stay and we will definitely come back and recommend to all our friends. 😍

There was nothing to dislike

This was our very first hotel we checked in when we landed in turkey. We reached the hotel in the evening and were too tired to go out and explore so we decided the order dinner from the hotel. We love the food at the hotel especially the breakfast as they had a large spread and on weekends, they would bring this sweet lady to do those fresh pancake bread. Their breakfast had a variety of both Western and local food which was good! As for their services, we would like to give a big thank you to Ali for being very accommodating and recommending to us the different tour or activity packages to take. We booked our hot air balloon (only the day before, very very lucky to get a slot) , green tour and sunset ATV via the hotel. Prices are generally the same as that of the tour group shops along the street. In terms of location, it is convenient to get to the shopping district where it’ll take roughly 5-10 mins and you do not need to walk uphill or anything. Food and convenient stores are found mostly at the shopping district/city centre. This also means it is not noisy at night so we could have our peaceful nights. The room generally was alright, very cute experience to be sleeping in a cave hotel. We definitely would recommend this hotel to others who are planning to visit Cappadocia. Thank you!

Location is great, balloons are flying right above your head, pool is clean and quite big for Gereme, green lounge zone in the garden is cute

Staff was not friendly at all, cleaning was bad, breakfasts poor - no any meat, fish, chicken, beans. Just dozen of cheese types, bread, bakery, some vegetables. Bean coffee for extra money.

Efficient service, kindness, modern facilities. Ali went out of his way weeks before we arrived to accommodate my disabled brother with a wheelchair and my family needs. He made sure every need, no matter the time of day was met and made us a priority. Our return flight was very late and he made us feel so welcome in their garden, still serving us with kindness. Wow. Always friendly staff and such a beautiful peaceful place to relax. Excellent view of balloons from terrace. A definite place to stay when traveling to cappadocia. We would definitely return to the Holiday cave hotel. Thank you so much!
