Dee Andaman Hotel

Such lovely staff and a huge room! Comfortable, air conditioned, clean. A gorgeous grand old hotel - we were very fortunate to stay here at such an affordable rate. The location (10 minute walk into town) suited us - we liked being in a leafy, quieter corner. Krabi is taking a little bit longer to bounce back from COVID than other places in Thailand - maybe because this town is more of a jumping off point than a tourist centre. As such, the rooftop restaurant at this hotel is currently closed, the pool isn't maintained, and massage isn't available. Come instead to show this grand old hotel some support while it gets back on its feet, to enjoy the excellent value for money and the huge lovely rooms. There is excellent coffee - and quail's eggs! - at breakfast, and attentive staff will help you with your every request. A gem.

The staff was by FAR the friendliest we've met in Thailand. The man at the reption was super friendly, gave us free breakfast, recommended a lot of sights to see and restaurants, helped us rent a car and was just generally super nice. The room was absolutely fantastic for the price, own balcony, AC, spacious, big bed and nice bathroom. The only thing I would slighty critize is the mattress, it was quite hard but as I prefer soft beds in general so that's a subjective opinion. All in all I would highly reccomend this place and would visit it again in a heartbeat!

We stayed for 6 nights and it was fantastic. Quiet location within walking distance of the river and Krabi town, lovely and clean rooms, we had a view from our balcony, the included breakfast has tons of options and is delicious, we ate dinner here each night as it was so good (try the potstickers!). The pool area was also well kept and had sun and shade. Finally, the staff was wonderful, accommodating, helpful and kind. If we weren’t heading off, we would stay even longer!

The hotel is exceptionally charming and very stylish, the staff is super friendly and welcoming. It felt like we were hosted by a family. The room was huge and the bed was comfortable, the view to the nearby park and greenery from the balcony added a nice touch. We also loved the vegetarian breakfast with a lot of different options to choose from. Also the pool was lovely and big. The location of the hotel is in walking distance to the central area and to the park.

The shower walls would need a little extra maintenance, but it doesn't take away from the overall charm of the hotel at all!

The room was pretty big and the wall sized window really made it a great stay. The shower pressure and water temperature were very good (which in my experience usualy isnt the case). The pool was very nice and quiet, great place to work or relax. Also the room was very nicely decorated witout the usual bright colors which remind me of hospitals or kindergartens.

The breakfast was ok at best with few options and wasnt very tasty. The wifi was usable altough kind of slow. The place is located up a small but steep hill so altough everything is within a 15 minute walk it can get kind of tiring if you walk there and back a few times.

Fabulous room with even a 4 poster bed. Very good buffet breakfast with eggs cooked to order, the catering staff were very friendly. There is quite a nice swimming pool with an adjacent pool for children.

It was about 20 mins walk from the town centre although there were places to eat along the walk so it wasn't really necessary to walk into town every evening. Although the room was large and beautifully decorated, at night the lighting was somewhat subdued making it difficult to read.

It's in a very quiet area, which was good, and the attached restaurant served very good and very reasonably-priced food. The manager spoke very good English, as did some of the staff, and the whole appearance of the hotel [much traditional Thai] was very pleasing.

No other restaurants nearby and since it was very hot towards the end of March, walking anywhere was a very sweaty affair. The wifi on my 6th floor dropped out regularly, but came back on again, and dropped out again - not so good.

Owner/manager was very kind and helpful. Room was spacious and with a nice old-worldly feel. With a little more TLC (but Covid hit hard here, so I’d want to support this place more), could be a grand hotel.

Breakfast wasn’t great. It’s a little on the edge of town. The old wooden structure and furniture was full of little ant-like termites given the wet season. They did not bite me, but it’s a little off-putting to see them everywhere. Room could also have been cleaner (dusty and damp).

Very comfortable stay, great room, and good breakfast. Amazing staff! Let us check in really early at no extra charge, and even offered to drive us to the bus station when we were leaving instead of hiring a taxi. Highly reccomend!

A little far away for walking, but if you have a scooter you'll be okay! Also bathroom could use some updating. Our shower head didn't work correctly.

we are traveling with kid, location of dee andaman was in perfect place near the big TARA park, where is a lot of playing areas for kids. Also nice view from the window. room was clean, bed comfortable.

very sad, what after pandemia, it looks like nobody cares to make this big cozy and beautiful hotel as good as it was before. The pool is green colour with frogs, some windows with broken glass. Breakfast was very poor.
