Khao Sok Morning Mist Resort

Travelled with a group of friends and we had a blast, hotel organised all activities for us for a good price. The owner is the most lovely thai lady and the entire staff as a team were just so amazing. The restaurant’s food is amazing, i was recommended the fern salad by the owner and it was just too good, also have to add that their mojitos definitely pack a punch. Two members of our group were also gluten-free and they accommodated very well which isn’t always done very well in SE Asia. Pool is amazing and very well kept. We booked a bungalow and my favourite pastime was to just sit outside and watch the wildlife from our balcony.

Room were bit basic but we felt it added to the jungle aesthetic. Would recommend clips for mosquito nets as we struggled a bit, but made it work with a safety pin.

Location was fantastic, the staff were very helpful as well. I had booked a non refundable “basic” room without aircon. The room was clean, good size with a great outdoor area, which was visited by monkeys. However I realised I needed a room with aircon so asked at reception if it was possible to change to an air conditioned room, I was willing to pay full price as my current booking was non refundable. The reception upgraded me and took the balance of my current booking against the new room, which I didn’t expect them to do as I repeat my original booking was non refundable. I found the staff throughout the resort from gardeners and cleaning staff to be very cheerful and acknowledged the guests. I moved to a river view room, great views and again watching monkeys playing throughout the day. The resort sorted out transfer to Surit Thani and offered plenty of trips. Less than a five minute walk to the National Park and many great places to eat and drink. The area is very quiet and laid back.

We had an aircon bungalow at the river. Monkeys climbed right over our balkony and roof on a few occasions. Great staff. Excellent tours with very good guides. We travelled with a 4yo and they always made sure it was all ok for our child too. You can stay in the two person bungalows at the river with a family if your small child sleeps with you in the bed.

Not part of the hotel, but Don’t go to the Restaurant „Equality Bar“ across the street. Everyone got super sick just like all the google reviews say (which we didn’t read before :-( )

Great location near the national park entrance and plenty of shops, bars, restaurants within walking distance. Our room has the best view and best soothing sound of Sok River. The room is spotless and comes with all basic amenities. The staff are nice and attentive. We booked several activities through the hotel but the weather was bad so we have to cancelled and got a full refund.

Since the hotel is in the jungle, there're many wild monkeys running & hanging around...they are cute and harmless most of the time till they see food in your hands. They also ransacked our car which parked in the designated outdoor parking spot.

+ Situated in a big garden, full of plants and even bats. + Close to the entry to the trails + walking distance to the bus station + nice breakfasts + the houses are partially made of bamboo, which allows animals like geckos to enter + despite the look of the house, it was pretty cosy, had a bug net and warm water

- ants in the bathroom, also watch out when walking barefoot because you may be painfully bitten by something - watch out if you're coming early, you may need to sit in the lobby with your luggage for several hours - no WiFi in the rooms (available in the restaurant zone)

best value for the money! basic but everything you need! it is an original jungle location. been there with two small kids, it worked good. mosquito nets, bathroom clean. monkeys come over a few times, but no problems with them. staff was friendly and helpful where they could. location is perfect to the restaurants and mini marts. pool is very small - didn’t use it. River is right next to it and best to take a bath there. original owner is a plant collector, everywhere there are different trees and flowers. lovely! bungalows are small but good! on first sight we thought we will have a lot of insects but there were literally none in the room despite having the door sometimes open and some holes in the wood. we enjoyed this stay a lot! will definitely come again!

you hear music sometimes until 11. but was no problem. pool didn’t look too good. no fridge.

We have stayed in four different accommodations in Khao Sok as we booked a random trip here a day before coming here and availability was tight for an average spend of 800-1200baht a night. Nonetheless what I want to say is that this one was the best out of the four! Granted it was the river view room which had its own charm. But the room had the best bedding so far, the balcony was amazing overlooking the river, AC and a fan helped us dry our clothes infinitely faster one night to the next morning, there was great lighting, it was a quiet locating right near the main street, reception was easy and pleasant to deal with.

Bathroom sink was clogged and took ages to drain water, we spat toothpaste etc into the toilet.. Also the shower pressure was average, but it always seems so average with those hot water systems.

Very good price for value! Nice room with little terrace in the middle of palm trees and jungle. Great for some relaxing days with privacy for each of the rooms/cabins. We stayed in a fan room in the first night and an air-conditioned room in the second night. We recommend investing a bit more and go for the air-conditioned room, which was much nicer (I.a. bigger room and better shower which was separated from the rest of the bathroom with a curtain). Cozy restaurant area. The hotel is located in the center of the (very touristy) main road of the area, so different restaurants and bars are very close.

The pressure of the shower could be a bit better.

The place was great, they offer a very nice leisure environment with restaurant, open "meeting" rooms areas and swimming pool patio. The way to the rooms was very nice, you were inside nature. with animals and flowers. The room amenities was also nice, everything needed: AC and fan in the same room, they provide everything needed. The small balcomy of the room was also great, providing you a peaceful moment. I would stay there again if visit Khao Sok one more time, we justb love the place. Really recommend!

The bathroom was a bit small and the shower a little tight, but clean. Everything went well.

Little swimming pool, my house in a jungle area with big balcony and nice chairs, good bed with mosquito net, fans (no need for ac as it cools down in the night), good shower, reception has a lot of info, fairly priced, restaurant with good food (and view on the garden), easy place to meet others but still quiet and with privacy if you want. Central location in the village, close to river and NP entrance. Very pleasant to stay!

Nothing, would go here again! Just to inform you the shared pick-up time to khao lak changed (12 pm changed to 12.30 as all the others in my van had that time, showed up after 13 but thats thai time!)
