Le Meridien Khao Lak Resort & Spa

The room was spacious and modern. The bath was a delight. It had a variety of pools on offer. The pool bar was ideally located with a beach view. The beach activities such as bike rental, paddle boarding and kayaking were free. The gym was close by to some free table tennis.

It was expensive to transfer from Patong to Khao lak about $100 Aus each way. The food was ok but not great. The location on Bangsak beach is lovely but nowhere near other nice restaurants, massage or other activities.

The hotel is very well organized. Three zones with large pools. There are many sun beds with umbrellas near the pools. Beautiful very well-groomed territory, all in flowering plants. The staff helps on the beach and by the pool to rearrange the sunbeds and umbrellas. What I especially liked was that the staff constantly makes sure to remove towels from empty sunbeds, and does not allow you to keep the sunbeds when you are not there and you have gone to another place for the whole day. Special thanks!) The placement of sun beds by the sea is also well organized. The rooms are spacious, with good bed linen and towels, a large combined bathroom. Large balcony, there is a dryer for wet clothes. The main restaurant really liked the breakfasts and dinners, everything was delicious and varied.estorane. Once they organized dinner in a cafe by the sea, it was bad and not tasty. It is better to have dinner in the main restaurant Loved the massage at the spa. Very private and comfortable.

Far from the airport. 1 hour 20 minutes. There are no other restaurants nearby, you need to go. Shared toilets near the pool are not often cleaned, there is a smell.

We enjoyed the quiet top location from the hotel on the white sandy, lonely beach with a special remark to the coconut jo ' s bamboo bar, part of the all in formula, that we can advise. Super clean new rooms Good food in large variety, or in the buffet restaurant or the beach restaurant or the pizzeria. Not to forget their weekly barbecue on the beach.

Very well designed & maintained hotel and grounds. The building is clean and modern with 3 landscaped pool areas and a private beach. The grounds are so well maintained the scenery to view whilst lying by the pool or on the beach is beautiful. The beach area has lovely soft white sand and calm waters you can swim in. There are also a wide variety of water sports all inclusive. The quality of food is very good in the beach grill and main restaurant and staff are incredibly polite and attentive. In summary if you want a relatively quiet, calm and relaxing holiday hotel this is perfect for you.

The location of the hotel is quite remote with nothing within walking distance should you want to explore more on foot. Taxis are easily available & not expensive but the local town of Khao Lak is sparse with just a few shops and restaurants left in operation. So the opportunity to eat away from the hotel occasionally or experience more life is just not available without travelling over an hour into Phuket. Khao Lak really isn’t a resort anymore, and instead just a series of hotels you need to stay within.

The pools and beach were great The stuff was very friendly and try to do his best .

1. All inclusive package that was very limited to 1 course during lunch, and 3 course during dinner. 2. The hotel close the main dinning restaurant during lunch and dinner due to low occupancy. They left only pizzeria and beach restaurant with limited menu-very problematic for children. We need to go to external restaurants even that we have a all inclusive package. 3.also part of the bars that serve baverage were close during our stay. This is not a real 5 star hotel and it was very disappointing for us Our luck was that we have a rented car . Regarding cleanses of room ,it was pretty good but always missing towels or bottle of water .

The check in staff was kind enough to provide room upgrade for me as per the first visit to stay here. Room cleanliness was well done, comfy bed, good quality of in room air condition.

Breakfast quality should improve and can be better. As Thai citizen, I found that chinese noodles with curry was tasteless.

The staff at this hotel were exceptional. Whenever we had a small problem, they solved it immediately and also gave us extra benefits for the inconvenience. This is the kind of customer service we look for when travelling. The restaurant staff were lovely and always made sure we were looked after. The food was divine - all-inclusive was definitely worth it. There were so many food options between the three options and over 2 weeks, we didn't get through all of them. The Saturday night buffets were great and a nice way to change things up. Housekeeping was immaculate and we loved the system of pressing the button to let them know whether to come or not. We loved that there was a collection of books to choose from and leave behind in various languages.

It's not that we didn't like ... but there is something that could be improved The all-inclusive paper booklet that is signed at lunch and dinner - this could be electronic on the system with your room number or a wristband to be more convenient than carrying a paper book around.

The rooms are fantastic, so are the 3 pools, which are combined with gardens, islands and bridges. Breakfast and restaurants are quite good (apart from the coffee). Staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is good for sitting there and gazing at the whole bay, however, it is not good for walking barefoot because there are a lot of coral chunks laying around.

There was some mold in the bathroom, especially in the shower. We had to move to another wing after the first night (something I hate deeply). Our first room had a pool bar in front of it, possibly 10m away, playing techno music thai-style using a strong booster. Dear Management Team, you can do that in a backpacker hotel, but not in a Marriott. Either shut down the music completely or play at least decent beach music at an acceptable volume.

I have been to Le Meridien at Khao Lak many times before this one. It's always a very pleasant and lovely place to stay. The staff are always very friendly and helpful and the rooms are lovely. Regrettably, this time I wanted to take my new partner for a holiday there at short notice and at the busy (and expensive) time of year. Normally, I am able to stay at Le Meridien for around 2500 baht a night. But this time it cost 5600 baht a night which does make it pretty damned expensive. Nonetheless, we had a very nice time there and my partner was very grateful for the pleasant stay there.

My only criticism of our recent stay was the time taken to check in. We arrived at the property at 1430 and we did not begin the check in procedure until nearly 1515. 45 minutes to begin checking is just way too long to have to wait.
