Hotel 6 - Ximen

The reception staff are all very friendly and supportive despite our minor language barriers. But i doesn't mind as long as we use Google Translate. I would wish to commend a reception staff named Andrew for his exceptional customer service provided to me. I lost my phone while doing my sightseeing in Taipei and had to go back to my hotel to seek assistance from the reception staff on duty which was Andrew. I explained my situation and he understood immediately and offered to make several calls in his language to my phone while tracking my phone's location. Despite the safe health measures in place, he allowed me to sit behind the reception to use their work computer to check my phone location. He was very understanding and accommodating to my uneventful situation. With his kind help, I managed to retrieve my phone. I don't normally write a lengthy review but I just had to do it out of gratitude. Thank you so much, Andrew! He deserves a pay raise and promotion! Location is of course excellent, just next to the subway entrance (西門)! As for the room condition, it was pretty clean and spacious. My request for a room with windows was granted. As I booked it at a short notice, I was not too particular as long as it was clean and has a good view. And it was just nice that the room windows were facing the Red House (紅樓). It was really a good view. Bathroom and toilet were also clean.

I only have 2 minor complaints about the room.. 1. There are a very few bed bugs (maybe 5 or so) which caused some minor itching on my legs but it was not too serious. Hopefully the bedsheets and mattresses could be thoroughly cleaned out. 2. The bathroom floor was always flooding with water after 10 mins of showering as the drain seems to be slowly draining. I think it's a common problem in Taiwan? I am not sure.

The location of the property is perfect! Train station is just outside the building and the Ximending night market is just outside the building.

First, the bed is not so comfortable. Second, the CR don't have bidet and don't provide privacy. Lastly, it's messy beneath the bed. I was surprised with all the accumulated dust and even old hotel slippers from a previous guest is under the bed.

the location was great, easy to access the MRT, the walking street is next to the buidling. The hotel has its own elevator, access to your floor by the key card.

The wall is not sound approve, you can hear chatting word from the next room.

Location super convenient for going around by metro lines, easy to find food of all choices right at Ximending area👍

the room layout is very awkward, if not careful easily trip over once u enter the room, there is a split level right at the door, i almost fell over n risk a sprain to my ankle😞 my sister too almost hd the same fate upon entering her room, hope the hotel look at this seriously , The bathroom entry also had a very high step that is a risk too

Location is superb, staff was very helpful especially the night shift one. Bed is a bit hard but overall we had a very nice time in ximending and it's so convenient to use the mrt because all the exits are so close. Breakfast easy to find and night market, pubs and shopping all walking distance, very close and not complicated.

Double Bed, it's hard cos 2 single beds mashed together, the middle of the bed can hurt if you are a couple, just try to not sleep or do anything in the middle of the bed, go to the either side.

Location is excellent; Nice window view (our room is at 10th fl, S/E view); Wifi is free and stable; Like the hotel-exclusive elevator

(Room 1007) - Lack of closets/cabinets, lack of place to put stuffs (tooth brush, face wash etc) near basin, desk (a simple rectangular table) is small - we had to lay luggages on floor to access our clothes and items - shower water pressure can be unstable some times

Perfect location. Just across MRT Ximen Bus Station and beside MRT Ximen exit 6. Near the Ximen Walker Street. I can hear street singers singing every evening. I got a window room so that I can enjoy the street view. The service was good. The receptionist guy can speak English, and the housekeeper frequently offers to clean up my room even though I didn't ask or request it.

The window is dirty, but it is still acceptable. Unfortunately, the bed is a twin, but they combine it into 1. As it is a twin bed, they also provide two blankets.

Location definitely is superb! Clean and with complete facilities. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We requested for room with window 3 months before upon booking, they tried their best to arrange for us, of course depends availability upon arrival. Really appreciated and we had a good time, will visit again. 👍🏼

The bed is abit hard.

The location is PERFECT. Room is spacious with a nice view. The windows are nice and can be opened, yet they come with nice screens so insects don't fly in.

When I asked the receptionist whether my room had a window as the booking page displayed, she said she couldn't tell me. Luckily my room did have a nice window. But.. do I still have to count on luck next time? I mean, why can't a customer be assured that they'll get what they book?
