Hôtel Fribourg Centre Remparts By Mercure

Everything was nice and very clean. The staff very kind and ready to help out with everything: find a parking spot, any question we had ready to find /propose quickly a solution. The rooms are nice/ cosi, quite and very clean! I was with my daughter and my friend and her daughter. Called the hotel the same day we were arriving and the receptionist arranged to put close to each other our two rooms booked separately. I definitely recommend this hotel and will return for sure.

No elevator 🛗 No restaurant for dinner, but finally was not an issue for us

Nice, Clean Hotel with comfortable beds, nice amenities & spacious rooms. The location is perfect near the old town (5min walk) & quiet during the night. Staff is friendly and helpfull. They renovated the reception (now 24h service) and the dining room very tastefully. Breakfast is a highlight with a lot of local Fribourg specialities. Will come back!

The rooms, although functional & clean could use a renovation/upgrade. Decoration is past its time!

The location of the hotel is perfect , close tot the old city and the perfect location for a visit in the city. Staff on the hotel is very helpful and friendly , breakfast is more then good , ifyou can't find a thing then you have not looked well enough

The rooms were outdated for the price you are paying.. old fashioned furniture , beds are hard and this is one of the view hotels where you still get a room key as in key.

Nice little hotel, near the city gate/old town. It is a 5 min walk to the city center or a short 3-4 bus ride to the center. Parking lot is right in front of the hotel, you can even load your cars Battery. It is simple and old fashioned, but clean, efficient and well maintained. The bed was confy. The employees at the reception were nice and helpfull!

Didn‘t have breakfast so can‘t comment on the food. The room was rather small..

The room I had was absolute luxury, with fridge and safe.Huge bed and nighttime quiet. Parking on site but this can be busy-we didn't have a problem though. Helpful staff who all spoke English.

Reception area was dim and uninspiring, it had a cheap back packing look. We didn't have the £21 breakfast but hey this is Switzerland, nothings cheap.

Close to town, comfy rooms, family rooms available with two rooms connected via door good breakfast, fast checkin, parking available right in front of the hotel

Rooms had no AC and one fan per room. As it was very hot we opened the windows. Luckily no mosquitos and nobody climbing into our room ;) TV without AirPlay

Comfortable bed and pillows! Had a good night’s sleep. Tastefully decorated and my standard room had a nice view of the ramparts.

The room was small, not that I needed a big one. Also not close to restaurants, it’s some walk or take a bus (it is close to a stop). But it’s close to the sports arena, if that is the purpose of the trip. It would be quiet, but it’s on a major road leading to/coming from the motorway, and vehicles roar by even late at night.

It’s a follow up review of my stay at this hotel. Overall good facilities and excellent location. I did have a misunderstanding with the reception staff. However after my complaint the management did a very good job, took my concerns into consideration and assured it won’t happened again. I was positively impressed.

The Location is nice, near the historic gate/old town, the center is 5min walk away. The room was spacious and generous, very clean with a comfy bed. Parking lot is right in front of the door, the receptionist was kind and helpful! No complains here!

Not Much. Since it's COVID, didn't visit the Breakfast (a lot of people in a very small room) and no possibilities to eat outside, garden/fresh air. The Hotel is old fashioned/retro, has come into the years but is well maintained.

Car park under construction. Please also be aware if a wheelchair user that access is via a chair lift outside.
