Airport Hotel Basel - Convenient & Friendly

Arrived 25 Nov late after 2100, greeted by two male friendly reception staff. Location great for transport to and from Airport and Basel. Rooms spotless, good size. Bar staff friendly. Shuttle to airport was really welcome and driver friendly, as one of our party was not feeling well with flu symptoms

On our last day, one of our group was feeling really poorly and we had to arrange to have a lot later check out, with our flight not till 2140. 27 Nov two ladies on reception and had a completely different experience, felt I was an inconvenience and facial expressions on both staff stern and not welcoming. Quote 50 CHF from Alexandra for the room till 1600. Checked with my work colleague who was poorly. Came back to reception to pay, was told now 100 CHF by the 2nd lady , was shocked and did not want to make a scene to peruse price quoted only 10 minutes earlier. Friend too ill and we were concerned. Paid 100 CHF

The hotel is very nice decorated, the staff is friendly. There's no mini bar but a vending machine next to the elevator in each floor. The room has great views. We booked a taxi with the hotel since we were flying at 6:15 and it worked perfectly, five minutes to the airport and costed 27 swiss francs.

It's a little overpriced for what it offers, some rooms don't have a private bathroom so you need to pay attention while booking, the terrace on the first floor has a lot of potential but sadly it looks like no one has step foot in there for a while, a few nice chairs and some ashtrays could make the real difference.

It was raining really hard when I checked out, and I had to catch the bus to the airport in the rain. The reception staff could have offered to lend me an umbrella or help out in some other way, especially since I had a young child with me, but they didn't. We had to stand in the pouring rain so we wouldn't miss the bus

Very close to airport and town. Hotel issues a complimentary public transportation pass which makes using bus and tram easy. Bus 50 stops at hotel and runs often. Four stops and you are at the main railway station, three stops opposite direction at terminterminal of airport. The staff is great, really pleasant and make you feel welcome.

Pillows are too soft and not easy to control room temperature but can open window.

Clean , close to airport. The receptionist was very kind upon arrival. My flight was cancelled and the hotel offered a free simple meal and free breakfast. Their well equipped room and good shower helped as well after a stressful evening at the airport. My room and bed was very comfortable.

Location is ideal. Friendly and helpful staff at Reception/bar. Excellent waiter and great quality food in restaurant.

Restaurant manager was initially territorial rather than welcoming. Guests are unlikely to know that you shouldn’t buy a drink at the bar and choose to sit on the terrace to drink it.

In general all went well. The was the employees were extremely gentle ,always ready to help and solve your need..any kind. First I want to mention ,Andrei at the front desk….lots of patience and understanding; Gordi ,Zenón, Rafael, Antonio…all, Alexandra , And others I can remember the names.They can not do bettering

They were really amazing to us. We spent one night there and called the room service at 11pm to get some fruit. They were out of fruit but one of the staff surprised us with his own - knocking on the door. They are really kind, very much appreciate them!

There was nothing I did not like. They know taxit, buses etc. They are kind and helpful at all times.

Huge thanks to hotel director, Dimitrij. Never have I ever been helped by somebody this kind in my life with the situation caused by my fatigue and unclear thinking, also I want to say a huge thanks to Narishi, he helped me in situation where I had to find help but I couldn’t do it on my own, everybody was so kind and helpful that it started to make me believe in humanity again! Thank you everybody for everything you done for me, this hotel is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed. 10/10

Convenient for Basel Airport with good reliable bus route to airport and City Centre immediately outside. Other than its red internal colour scheme - it is very clean, comfortable, fairly priced and with very friendly and helpful staff

a bit RED but that’s a personal style thing and wouldn’t put me off staying there.
