Scandic Malmö City

I loved the room. It was super clean and had a lot of space. The breakfast had everything and anything you would want to eat. The selection was great. Also the hotel was super full but I never felt bothered by noise from others in the neighbouring rooms or those walking down the hall. I was a bit sceptic about the location since it was a bit of a walk from any train station, but once I got there it was great to be in the middle of the city.

Actually what I didn't like was how the halls looked. Seems a bit petty, but it was the first impression I had when getting to my room. The walls were not painted in a long time and it all felt like the hotel was recently converted from a hospital or the like. - I was very happy to see the room was great to shake off the feeling I'd paid too much. - But now that you know what to expect, the hotel was just fine.

The location of the hotel is great, we could walk everywhere. The od town centre is just a few minutes walk, there are a lot of shops, bars, parks nearby, the central station is a 10-minute walk. We could also bike with the hotel free bikes. The breakfast was great, at the weekend it was quite crowded and in the last 30 minutes the vegetables, fruit, bakery was not refilled.

We had a room in the ground floor and on weekdays the sewage truck was in front of our window for at least 2 hours in the morning, from around 8.30, it was quite noisy and smelly. We left the room later so no idea when it was finished.

Nice clean rooms, well equipped for working in the city. Small fridge and kitchen area if nice to get setup with some 'home comfort'. Great for business travellers as you can really settle in, room cleaning 'on demand' rather than automatically every day which is nice. Hotel is close to some nice resturants, not much more I could have asked for.

Only complaint was the wifi to be honest. It was ok, but below what you'd expect from hotels these days. No problem for normal working, but teams calls and downloads were a bit of a pain. Couldn't see a 'paid' option/alternative, so just needs to imrpove.

Very nice place. We booked this hotel for one night stay with kids and our dogs. I sent an additional request about dogs via booking.com, but the hotel did not receive it. However they provided us with the room where the pets are allowed. And it was a very nice girl on the reception who explained everything in detail. Please, remember that this hotel has only 2 rooms for pets. So, it's better to contact with hotel beforehand. Parking was full, but the public parking is next building, so it is not a problem at all. The hotel does not have a room service but we took a very good pizza at the bar. So, we were going to sleep not hungry. Very nice location. You can rent a boat nearby and have a nice time on water

It was a slight pee smell in the room, it seems after previous customer with a pet. A bit of fresh air or a special cleaning stuff would help in this case.

We had an absolutely wonderful week here. Our room was huge, we booked a family room and it was perfect. The corridors were a little scuffed but the room was perfect. We are a vegan family and asked for vegan pancakes that were advertised. We met Ana the chef and she spoke to us about what we would like and what she could offer us. The kids were so thrilled with their vegan pancakes and baked oatmeal bars. I loved the chilli beans and roasted veg. Porridge with all the toppings, hummus, cheese, yoghurt, different milks, butter, vegetables were all available. Definitely the best hotel breakfast experience we've had and the personal touch from Ana and her staff was so lovely. We will definitely be back because of this. It was my birthday during our stay and I got a card and some vegan goodies in my room, such a nice touch. The hotel is centrally located and the reception staff were all so helpful and the cleaning staff were so sweet to our kids. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

The location was very convenient, and easily accessible by car. There was a large parking garage across the street for SEK250 where we parked the first night but were able to park in the hotel's underground parking for nights 2 to 6 for SEK225 with in-and-out privileges. The breakfast buffet featured many warm dishes, some of which changed during the course of our stay. The change was nice. The breakfast staff was very friendly and engaging, checking to see if everything was in order. The location is just across from the old town, so easy to walk to. The staff provided good restaurant recommendations, such as Bullen around the corner. A movie theatre with multiple cinemas was also around the corner. We extended our stay one extra night. It was good value for money. We would stay there again.

Breakfast was great, I really enjoyed the free takeaway coffee. You have to choose a breakfast slot at checking when it's busy, so difficult to be spontaneous. Comfortable beds, overall good rooms. Generous checkout time at noon. A very nice hotel!

Checkin took ages, we had to queue like 20-30 minutes, only 2 people at the desk. They should get a system to crowd control better. My room was ready when I checked in (3pm), but I overheard others before me that had to wait for theirs even after the guaranteed checkin time.

Great location for central Malmo, we arrived during the local festival, so it was great to be able to walk over to the action. The hotel room was very spacious, with a good functional kitchen. There's a supermarket a short walk away to get coffee and milk and some snacks which we could use the machine and fridge supplied. The staff were very friendly, especially the greeter at breakfast, he must make everyone's morning, so happy to see everyone.

Very minor but the spaces in the car park are very small with pillar's within the parking space, making it very hard to park, it was never a problem as there was always spare spaces, but if it was full i suspect it would be difficult to get my car in.

The room was spacious with windows, bathroom nice modern and clean, shower area well septated by glass door from sink and toilet. Breakfast was excellent, food was great wide choice and staff was friendly and helpful. They had free bicycles to use and a gym and laundry room.

The room we had was at the back, I could hear the noise of a big motor all the time like an old ac unit. We still could sleep well and my family did not notice it much.

Although it was a bit of a walk away from Malmo Central Station, it's quite easily accessible (about 10-15 min walk from the station, and 3-4 minutes on an electric scooter). Can easily walk to most of the major attractions in downtown Malmo. The hotel facilities themselves were quite spacious, and our family room was able to comfortably house two adults and a teenager with enough privacy. I was pleasantly surprised by the kitchenette - it was very convenient with stovetop elements, and came with glasses, mugs, plates, basic cooking utensils, pot & pan, so you could definitely cook yourself a late night meal. The breakfast selection had a lot of variety (if it's your first time in Sweden, I highly recommend you try the Kalles Kaviar spread at least once - breakfast staple), and the service staff were always friendly and helpful. Laundry is free (!!) and self-serve - you just need to book the 3-hour time slot a day in advance and get the key to the laundry room (super convenient for travellers that are on the road for a while).

There are pre-scheduled breakfast time slots which was a little difficult for us since my family has varying start times to the day, but we managed. If you're staying for more than a couple days, there's no regular scheduled housekeeping, but you can request housekeeping the day before if you want your room serviced, which isn't bad. Unfortunately on the first day, there was some construction happening in the floor right above my room during the day (when I had to take meetings), but that was gone the next day.
