Modern hotel in an historic building. Very interesting displays and photos of its history. Spacious bedroom. Quiet despite central location. Convenient for the bridge and railway

Very god location, 5 minutes walking form the central station and near all the important sites. The hotel is several centuries old, which can be seen in the pictures, and the comments which are hanging on the walls. The photos of the hotel do not capture the unique atmosphere of the hotel. The breakfast is very good, with the pleasant choice of making your own waffles. Overall, I would definitely choose it again.

Lack of variety in amenities and the fact that you would have to ask for housekeeping. But it seems that is very common in Sweden, so we managed.

The history of the hotel, the decorations, all the information displayed everywhere in the hotel, very friendly staff, very good location, decent breakfast options, very nice interior overall and good preservation of the building.

The bed was very shaky. All night, when my partener was moving, I was moving and waking up, we both had very bad sleep. The matress or the bed frame should be changed! Also, the hair dryer was bad, the extreme heat made my hair so frizzy ☹️ a decent hair dryer could be a nice improvement. If you check the photos, it’s a very oldschool type, the glued to the wall one. If no change is done and we decide to stay here again, I’ll have to bring my own for sure. Basically, if you have no problem waking up from a moving matress and you don’t care about frizzy dry hair, it’s not bad…

This hotel is, par excellence, an hotel of charm and British elegance. Thinking in general...from the receptionist, a gentleman, to the surprising library, with meritorious attention to detail, to the comfort of the room, whose small bathroom space does not detract in any way from the quality and modernity of the services offered. Staying at the Mayfair Hotel, Malmo, is a highly rewarding experience, and one of surprising sensitivity. Nowadays, it is not expected to find an Hotel that offers high quality services, in a context of absolutely superior comfort and hygiene, and also the availability of a fantastic reading space.

I didn't like that I couldn't stay longer. I believe it would have been reassuring and comfortable.

I can't say enough about how great this hotel is. The atmosphere, the staff, the accommodations were all first rate. They provided breakfast that was the highlight of our trip. We arrived early so while they prepared our room, we were able to sit in a quaint sitting room with comfortable chairs and refreshments. The Mayfair was convenient to the University where my daughter had a program to attend. The hotel was so centrally located to all events that we were able to easily navigate the city while she was attending her program. I would suggest this hotel to anyone wanting to experience that charm that Malmo has to offer.

We couldn't find anything not to like.

This is a funky and cool hotel with a lot of charm , amazing breakfast underground in the tunnel. It’s an older building so you need to expect those quirks . I stayed in July and there was no ac in this hotel and it was hard to keep windows from blowing shut. I’m American so you know I like it to be quite cold while I’m sleeping . It was warm. If you are used to no ac this hotel will be great , if you are like me you will find it a bit warm in the upper rooms it’s a little uncomfortable . Bed had very few comfortable pillows just few small old ones. The location of the hotel could not be better . It close to really cute square and walkable everywhere. There’s tons of cool art in the lower level and the restaurant is delicious . Staff is courteous and helpful and has the feel of staying in a hotel 100 years ago with the charm of old keys you leave at the front desk when you go out. It’s experiecial to stay there with the old rooms and the library with cool books . If you are looking for luxury it falls a bit short of that. The price value is very good. We enjoyed our stay. I think in winter it probably a great place to stay because of the ac issue being a non issue.

No ac , pillows not comfy , little bit of a scary elevator that’s is charming :) but tight. Rooms are a tad dated but charming and old world.

Amazing hotel ☺️ It is really beautiful inside and outside. I love historical buildings and old-fashioned interiors. It felt like we moved back in time to the 19th century. Furniture, paintings and other elements of furnishing are exquisite. The charming library is the best place to relax among lovely books, to have some tea or coffee and just soak in the breathtaking surroundings. Not to mention the fascinating history of the building itself! Staying among those beautiful things was pure pleasure and an unforgettable experience of luxury in a good old style 😊 The cellar where breakfast is served is also excellent. The meal is delicious but every day the same type of food is served. The hotel is so very close to the central station, the bus stop from the airport almost across the street and the old town just around the corner. The staff is very kind and helpful; Jovica, the receptionist, is the nicest of all - he made our stay even more enjoyable ☺️

Would be nice to have more vegetarian choices.

Fantastic stay in one of the best hotels we've ever visited! Full of charm and history, with lots of interesting art and decor. Upon our arrival we got a free upgrade to a bigger room with shared courtyard which was a lovely surprise. The room was big, spotless clean and really comfy. We had plenty of space and really enjoyed little touches like booklets about history of the building, its art collection and tea supplies. Breakfast was amazing, it was buffet style with lots of different food to choose from. Every room was beautiful, starting from cellar (current breakfast area), through hall and reception, to historical Malmo public library (lounge area now). You could feel and see the hotel long and interesting history, but at the same time it was really cosy and elegant. Staff was fantastic and location cannot be more central for Malmo. We loved it and totally recommend this place! 11/10! :)

Nothing - everything was absolutely great!

After surveying several options in Malmo, including the newer part of town, we decided upon the charming Mayfair Hotel Tunneln in the old town, just a 5-minute walk from the central station. Replete with a fascinating history and friendly, helpful staff, we were given the option of a large room with an en suite bathtub on the top floor, which we found more welcoming and spacious compared to the other hotels we have stayed in during our trip. We highly recommend it. It's a wonderful base to explore this delightful town and the southern Skane region of Sweden.

I was really surprised how noble and rich of its own history this hotel was. The rooms looked really fancy, the bed was big enough for 2 people and really soft and comfortable. If its really how outside it could become a problem, because the area surrounding the hotel is very lively at the evening. But with the windows closed its not that noisey in your room. The breakfast was over the top! Everything tasted delicious and they offer so much variety. I regret that we only stayed in this hotel for one night. Location is also really good, not even a 5 min walk to the central station.
