Hotel Tatra

- Great location for tourists, center is really close, there's a supermarket on the other side of the road, tram station very close - The hotel's parking is covered, right near the hotel; if you arrive in front of it, just go back 10-20m and there's the entrance; take the card and enter the hotel right from the parking, there's no need to go out in the street - Exceptional breakfast (7 a.m.) with so many possibilities to choose from, hot and cold, excellent desert, it exceeded our expectations - In the bathroom there is soap, moisturizing hand cream and shower gel; I didn't like the smell but I appreciated the intention

- In the bathroom, in the small basket with the hygiene kits, there was a small towel which was stained and probably turned upside down to look clean... not cool; even if I wasn't going to use that one, there were plenty other towels in the bathroom, the attention to details should be better - paid parking

A really spaceus room and bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and filled with new food until the end of breakfast time (they even served a bubble vine). They had baby chairs as well. Parking is next to the hotel so it’s very convenient. They also accept pets and our dog was welcome there. The location is just perfect walking distance to many sightseeing attractions and restaurants. Close to the hotel is a park with a fountain that kids can run around and play with water that is newly opened after about 16 years. We loved the city and staying in this hotel made our experience even more perfect.

Parking garage is quite pricey, especially because there is a public garage near for the 1/3 of the price.

We liked the location and abundant breakfast buffet (including fresh pancakes machine for kids), we had paid for covered parking at the location which was great, staff was friendly, and cleanliness was almost superb. You are on the edge of the city pedestrian centre and have everything in walking distance but also an option to go on a cheap city bus almost in front of the hotel. We stayed only for one night so we can't have the whole picture.

Coming from a country with a strict smoking ban for indoor public places, I was somewhat shocked when I came to one of the hotel's Coffees and saw people smoking inside :) Luckily our room was not near that Caffe otherwise the cigarette smell nearby would have definitely bothered us.

The hotel and room were very clean. The bed was comfortable. The private bathroom had plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The WiFi was easy to connect with and was very fast. The included breakfast was phenomenal and offered a plethora of choices within the buffet. The hotel was just a few minutes walk from the main train station and the old city center.

It would have been nice to have a little bit more storage space at the bathroom sink.

Good breakfast and very spacious breakfast room. If you love bacon, egg and a variety of sausages you are in heaven. But also fruit, vegetables, different kind of bread, hot and cold drinks etc. Comfortable room and bathroom, clean.

Nothing that the hotel is responsible for, but the street in front has very heavy traffic and you will have to take a rather long walk to find a crosswalk if you want to visit some of the more genuine restaurants in the old part of Bratislava, about a block from Tatra. A couple of mornings there were some very large tourist groups, all having breakfast at the same time, which meant that the staff was not able to keep up refilling the dishes.

The hotel has a good location, very close to the old town centre but also central to other areas of the city plus not far from the train station where we arrived and left Bratislava. The breakfast was very good and had lots of choice. it was busy there as it was a holiday weekend however staff kept the breakfast well stocked. Our room was a good size and clean.

The air conditioner was not yet set to work. Our room was very warm. The hotel staff at the desk were asked about it and advised that the hotel air conditioning was still not activated for the season. To be cool enough to sleep we had to leave our window open so we then were kept awake for much of the night due to street noise because of long weekend partiers. I believe the comfort of the hotel guests should be paramount. what is the use of having a hotel room if you cannot get sleep. if it was not for this one item then I stay would have been perfect.

We stayed in one of the suites/apartments, because it was excellent value for money. The room was enormous, with several tables and seating areas and a separate bedroom and spacious bathroom facilities. It had a wonderful view of the city skyline and was quiet. The staff were responsive and helpful. The breakfast had a huge range of hot and cold dishes, including local favorites and international staples, with loads of fresh fruit, meats,, cheeses, and pastries. Parking was in a public garage attached to the hotel, which was convenient. The Tatra is close to Bratislava's old time and main attractions. I would definitely stay here again.

Our assigned room had a malfunctioning thermostat. However, when we told the front desk, they promptly offered another equivalent room, which was very satisfactory.

Hotel Tatra is located on a busy street next to the presidential palace, i.e. within short walking distance of the old town. Because of traffic, it is not really possible to sleep with the window open, but well-functioning air condition in the rooms solves that problem in case of hot summer weather. There is a good selection of food for breakfast, including fruit, and a number of restaurants in the close vicinity.

The single room I got was kind of cramped and faced the busy street. Considering the size of the room, I found it somewhat overpriced.

The location was absolutely perfect and the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and as an American I loved having filter coffee every morning … I’m halfway through a 60 day train trip and can hardly stand the idea of having white foam in my cup for much longer. LOL

Sadly the room was so warm we had to open the window which was like trying to sleep during the Daytona 500. I’m married to a redhead … two of their top three needs are food and sleep!!!

The location was excellent, walking distance to Old Towns main area and not to far from the castle. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and drinks in the restaurant are amazing! Our server, Daniel, was a delight to visit with and treated us very well. Even though the hotel is on a main road the traffic noise was not bothersome. The hotel rooms are very, very clean!

Although it was very clean the furniture was a bit dated and if updated this hotel would be top of the line! I was impressed even though it was older.
