OPOHOTEL Porto Aeroporto

The location was ideal, your less than ten minutes from the Metro Station by walking or you could ask if the shuttle bus is heading in that direction and drop you off. The Airport again is less than ten minutes away and the hotel offer a suttle bus service to and from which operates every half and hour. The room was lovely and spacious with a a decent sized bathroom. The shower was a lovely feature of the room and you can find yourself standing under there for sometime. The rooms are air conditioned which came in handy due to the recent heatwave the country had. There was lots of space for storage and a safety deposit box which is easy to operate. The staff are really friendly, helpful and also multilingual which comes in handy. This is a nice little place to stay and it's not too far from the main city centre.

I feel the breakfast could have offered more of abhot food selection. I've been in previous hotels where they've served poached eggs, fried eggs, sausages, beans, hash browns ect ect. But the food what they serve isn't that bad though. The pillows are slightly uncomfortable but I've always been fussy with pillows.

What a fabulous little gem near the airport in Porto! The staff is superb, friendly and helpful, and there is a charming bar and restaurant on the reception floor with delicious food and wines. We received an upgraded suite, which was spectacular—marbled entryway, dining/living room combination, two marble tiled baths, spacious bedroom with two comfortable and sizable beds, and super-sized closets. We were so happy with our stay and would love to visit again the next time we’re in Porto!

I honestly can’t think of anything—we were immediately impressed with how modern, clean and comfortable everything was.

We arrived tired, after a trip across Porto on the metro from the main railway station. At the airport, I called the hotel as advised, and they sent over their shuttle van, which arrived quickly and had a very friendly driver. We had an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant. We had an early flight out, so didn't take advantage of their extensive and looking-really-tasty breakfast buffet, but had a quick coffee before the shuttle driver took us back to the airport. Really an excellent location. Nice people. Good food. Attractive and up-to-date facilities. We will definitely be back.

The big shower in the bathroom had a slow drain, which was a bit worrisome. A bit of overflow onto the bathroom floor. I advised staff in the morning, and I'm sure they'll fix it. Generally, the hotel seemed well looked after.

Location for the last stop of our trip was great, allowed us to drop off the rental car nearby and walk back only approx 10 mins walk, alleviating a lot of stress. Shuttle to the airport was very handy for getting all our bags etc to the airport very early in the morning. Room is great, very spacious and cleverly designed. Shower pressure and horizontal spray direction was a nice added bonus.

Between the hallway and the rooms there is a small thin flap which makes the acoustics of the rooms non-existent. But external acoustics were great, barely heard any planes despite proximity to the airport. WC flush is very loud, not great for sleeping infant.

Half hourly shuttle to Airport very handy. The room was one of the best rooms I have stayed in for many years, the quality of the furnishing and the bed,and en suite shower area was outstanding, top class bedding and so clean and comfortable. I would say this could be rated 5 star, the facilities were excellent for the price. The staff at front desk and in the bar and dining area were so friendly and helpful, the food was plentiful and very tasty, food served most of the day in the bar and dinner in the evening suited all of the guests and the dining room served breakfast from 4.30 which suited transatlantic passengers on early flights. I was so sorry we could not spend more time at this hotel, it was the last night of a 10 day trip to Galicia and ending in Porto, it was the best Hotel we stayed in on our entire holiday and we will certainly be back. Well done to all the staff, you make this Hotel proud!!

The only thing we did'nt like was that we had to leave so soon!!

Shuttle from OPO arrived quickly and our requested early morning shuttle time slot back to OPO was very precise to seemingly less than a minute or two from the exact time we requested! Exceptional shuttle driver! Front Desk was very friendly and helpful. Kudos to the Bartender for supplying some extra ice for my wife and I and for his very attentive service! Kudos to the kitchen for a late evening pizza that was served up quickly near the Bar! The room was very spacious and exceeded expectations! Modern, clean and very quiet so close to the airport! (So quiet, we were able to open the sliding glass door for a nice cool fresh breeze to enter most of the night!) No noise beside or above our room or hallway and a very comfortable bed. (Our original plan was to take one of the first Metro rides from Porto in the morning to OPO but our change in staying here made our departure from OPO far less stressful). Our stay here and all the hotel employees made for a happy ending to our great Portugal vacation!

nice place a bit hidden in an industrial area next to the airport, nice big room and an even nicer big bathroom with a fantastic shower, I had a very nice receptionist who gave me lots of hints and even helped me to carry my stuff to the room, the free shuttle to the airport is also a plus and free parking for guests

I could hardly believe a hotel of this genre still has a very very weak wifi signal for guests, the signal was so weak I couldnt do my pre check in and even when just reading mails or articles the wifi signal routinely fell off and I had to sign in again, something which shouldn't happen in today's world

The service, staff knowledge, parking, restaurant and bar, cleanliness, large rooms, fantastic shower, but most of all the airport transfers and staff.

The Gin and Tonic. It is served in a large bowl glass full of ice, one measured shot of gin to one bottle of tonic and slice of lemon and a straw. It looked beautiful but all you could taste was ice and tonic. What really annoyed me was I asked for 2 pieces of ice, gin and a slice with a bottle of tonic and that was not what I got, when I complained they said that is the way a gin and tonic is served! What happened to the customer is always right?

At check in, a member of the staff remarked, “I see you have stayed with us 17 times.”. I think that says everything you need to know. We have found it comfortable and convenient when arriving rather late to catching an early plane. The staff are always helpful and delightful.

My one complaint is that the switch for the bedside lamps turns on and turns off the lights on both sides of the bed, so that if one person wants to read late or get up in the night, he/she is obliged to turn on his/her partner’s light as well as their own.

Location to the airport. Free airport shuttle. Early breakfast with a good selection of items. This was our 2nd time staying at this location. The bar/lounge has great pizza. The rooms are also very clean. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

Our room this time was much better. The 1st time we stayed here we found the bed too hard for our liking and the room very dated. This time in a different room the bed was very comfortable. The hotel still needs update the decor. Stained carpets in the hallways is not a good look.
