Ocean Porto - Beach House0

Gorgeous hotel, very clean and extremely friendly staff who gladly helped us out with everything. We were able to borrow surf boards and bikes at no cost and there was always coffee and cakes available by the pool. It was quite a small hotel so it felt very homely, the pool was often empty so we mostly had it to ourselves, it kind of felt like a spa! Close to the beach, grocery store (Lidl) and metro stop. Amazing, I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Matosinhos!

The only thing I missed was hot items for breakfast (ie scrambled eggs, sausage etc) but it hardly affected the breakfast overall since there were so many other things to eat.

I was especially enamored with the friendly and motivated service. The owner puts a lot of effort into this hotel and cares for the guest's well-being. The facility was great for small children (~2 years). It is relatively quiet (besides the occasional metro train) and there is a lot of open space to play. The heated swimming pool is especially great!

The hotel is quite new (early 2023), so some furniture was still missing. The guest rooms will receive additional shelves soon. On our third day the garden furniture arrived and was speedily set up. So the experience is already great and still improving.

Easy to find, great parking nearby..either the multi storey or on road parking. Great location and a short walk to restaurants, the beach, bars etc. We had a warm welcome and help to carry our luggage upstairs. The room was bright and modern with a lovely small balcony. Bed was very comfortable. Small outdoor heated pool and relaxing area- sadly we did not stay long enough to use the facilities. Breakfast was plentiful and very fresh. Choice of bread/cakes/cheese/hams. Free coffee or tea at all times.

A fridge or mini bar would have been useful in the room.

A real hidden jewel in Oporto. The hotel was brand new, extremely clean and the attention to details was great. It had everything we could have wanted and more. The location was also perfect for our visit. Our room was facing the internal garden with the pool and it was very quiet, I also have to say that we never slept in a more comfortable bed, it was such a struggle to get my wife up the next day. The very fast and stable Wi-Fi was definitely a great plus as the free rental bikes were. Ivo was such an amazing host and he made us feel welcome even before we stepped thru the door. He was very helpful and his suggestions were spot on. He also assisted with a lovely alternative breakfast due to Gluten Free and Vegan requirements (I suggest to tell them in advance so they can be better organised).

Our stay was just too short. I wished we could have staid longer. We will definitely be back.

We liked everything. Nice and clean decoration very minimalist but very comfortable . Amazing bed linen… 100% cotton (fell like home). Continental breakfast very fresh, and nice clean and modern appliances. Staff extremely helpfull. Ivo helped us a lot. We had a meeting in Braga (60kms) and Ivo took us for free. We’ll never forget all the details. Very well located. Nice who visits Exponor. When we arrived to the place, we couldn’t imagine what was inside.

The room was very bright with tons of windows overlooking the courtyard. The location is fun, we haven't stayed in this area of Porto before and it was very close to the beach, super walkable with good restaurants in the neighborhood. The owner recommended a dinner spot with great seafood and he was right! The breakfast was really good as well.

They could add some more soundproofing or rugs on the floor to reduce the noises coming from the neighboring rooms.

Ocean Porto was wonderful! Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Ivo was quick to answer questions over WhatsApp, they offered beach towels, and even treated us to generous breakfast boxes since we had to leave at 3AM. The location is great! The space is beautiful! AC worked well! Backyard is charming too. I appreciate their efforts to be sustainable too.

Would love to stay longer next time.

Well located and a few minutes walking from the beach. The house is very well decorated and gives a sense of tranquility. The staff are extremely kind and welcoming. Breakfast is simple but really yummy and with fresh / high quality products. Thank you for making us feel at home! We will surely come back the next time we are in Matosinhos!

The staff was amazing, very welcoming. Breakfast despite of not having a LOT of options, they were homemade ones. Really tasty !! The bread!!! Amazing. Very well located. If you are looking for a well located place in Porto by the beach, this is the perfect stay!

I would just suggest to have automatic lights in the property at the entrance, for late check out.

It was a beautiful place, decor was fabulous, heated pool small but great for a dip. Staff awesome, just a really lovely place. Comfy beds. Great breakfast and the beach towels provided were a lovely extra as well as the surfboards.

Not their fault but tram is right outside so this woke me a few times as I’m not used to city noise.
