The location was great. The is building is beautiful, the common areas are generous and very pleasant, including the yard. The breakfast was OK. All areas were clean and well aired, this room had a nice big window. The beds were comfortable and I slept well, once everyone in the room went to bed. Would book again without hesitation.

The lockers by the bed were very useful, but their location under the bed wasn’t ideal to access stuff. I got a top bunk and missed some kind of handle at the top of the stairs to hoist myself up or to hold myself coming down as the stairs lay directly on the side of the bunk bed so you can’t hold the rungs in your hand. I was traveling light for a short stay so I needed a towel. It cost me 2 euros and the towel was small. I think it’s OK to charge extra for laundry but it should be a bath size towel, not a medium towel.

Location is great, easy walk to get everywhere. Breakfast is awesome and a nice way to meet other guests.

Only annoying thing I found; I stayed for 3 nights in a 4 person dorm- which was a pretty cosy space. Both the last 2 nights there were guest check ins very late at night, one at midnight with staff member explaining things about the hostel inside the room at that time.

A very comfortable hostel with everything you need for a short stay. Included breakfast is always welcome. Very friendly and helpful staff Fast, hot water in showers Second and third floors both had separate male and female bathrooms. Cleaning team comes through every morning, so the place is spotless Areas available to sit and relax or enjoy conversation The things I didn't like didn't spoil my stay. I'd be happy to stay again

Bed lights are too bright. Twice I had to ask people to turn them off so others could sleep. Worse than having the ceiling light on. Top bunks are higher than usual, and could do with a handle or strap on the end of the bed to help hoist yourself up. Could be difficult for someone with any physical problems No elevators, but that's a Portugal thing 😁

I really liked the common spaces and the terrace. I appraciated that there was simple, yet sufficient breakfast to start the day. The stuff was very friendly as well. The rooms were nice with enough space to put your stuff to.

The pillows were absolutely terrible. Mine only consisted of separate pieces of "matter" which you could not even put together to make it a regular pillow. And as I checked with others, this was not only my case. I think that comfortable, or at least decent pillow should be the first thing that any hostel provides. In this light, all the other positives feel very different. Also, the water flow in the shower was not working very well.

The breakfast was a typical hostel spread, with bread, cheese, and ham, nice that they had fruit and a coffee machine. The best part was the waking tour, do not miss this, it's free and goes on every day. Porto was a pleasant surprise with lots to see I do wish I had stayed here and not go on to Lisbon, which is not as nice. Great cafe with only locals about two blocks from the hostel, if you go downtown you get nailed with the tourist prices.

The auto lights in the hallways could be on a slight delay would make it easier for those trying to sleep and those getting up to use the WC. Curtains on the beds would be nice seems about 50% of places have this and the rest do not.

This is the very best hostel in Porto you could ask for :-) I stayed there twice :-) I already asked and suggested their staff members to have thick curtains placed at each bed in the bunk beds for privacy sake... This would make such a difference! The breakfast was absolutely delicious!! Freshly baked cakes every day!! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and approachable :-) I recommend it to anyone!! Great stay, excellent location near all amenities like metro, supermarkets, shops and restaurants, etc... A huge Thank You to everyone behind the scene at Porto Spot Hostel *****

Porto Spot Hostel was my base during my stay in Porto. I arrived during the evening and proceed with the check in. The reception informed me all the information that I need to know - local tax, breakfast and any additional options that the hostel offer. The hostel is a three store building and I was on the first floor. During my stay, I was in a 8 persons bedroom, which during my stay it was all the time full. Everything was clean and prepared. The storage was under my bed which was locked with a locker provided by the hostel. On my bed there were usb and plug as also a personal lamp. The toilet and showers were for everyone and it wasn't separated by man and women. With your stay, you have also breakfast included. The breakfast were simple options, but ideal to eat something before your walk around the town. During the check out, I asked if there was a possibility to leave my staff during my last walk in the town. There wasn't any problem and had a special room for this.

This is the cleanest and most impeccable hostel I stayed in for my entire trip. The rooms are lovely, and the staff (especially Jorge from Argentina) are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's a chilled out hostel with great common areas for relaxing. The location is quiet and convenient, a short walk to the main shopping area. The breakfast is basic but yummy, and they do your laundry well for 7€. The beds are huge and comfortable and they make them everyday while you're at breakfast! How cute.

Some hooks and shelves in the shower areas in one of the bathrooms would have made things easier. Social activities would also be an added bonus.

What a beautiful place to land in Porto before starting my Camino pilgrimage to Santiago. I felt truly cared for by a large group of hoteliers/staff who care about providing beauty, comfort, security and nourishment to their global community of travellers passing through. All the bathrooms are as spotless as the bedrooms, which are as elegant and sumptuous as the living rooms. Breakfast is a feast of warm fresh rolls, two cakes, fresh fruits, and "happy hour" free coffee. Have 50cent coins for coffee during the day, and maybe a bit of change for the buskers en route to the Cathedral ... an 18 minute walk ... about 15 mins from the train station.

The room was very clean and tidy. Staff was great and I met great people staying in the hostel. The place is very lively and full of lovely people.

The bed was making too much noise and the bunk bed above does not have anything to put on. My mobile phone fell down and so does my medicine. The bed and sleeping conditions of bunk beds could be improved. The beds are made of wood I think which is why they are making noise.
