Avena Boutique Hotel by Artery Hotels

Hotel was excellent value for money. Booking.com beat all other prices hands down. Although not right in the centre of the Old Town, there were trams within a three minute walk. The number 18 was regular and served the Old Town ( 5 minutes) and Kazimierz (10). Rooms were cosy but well equipped and with a brilliant shower. Rooms were cleaned daily. It also had the added bonus of having the Nowy Kleparz market on its doorstep, which was full of wonderful things to eat. One point to remember is that the glass bathroom door needs to be gently closed otherwise it will shut with a real thud. A mention for the Barman, who although we never used the bar, he always gave us a friendly wave when we came back in the evening. Would not hesitate to book again at similar prices.

The staff went above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble, from booking taxis and excursions to the simple help of allowing us to borrow a European plug adapter as we'd forgotten to pack one. my partner had a few food requests as she is a very picky eater and the kitchen staff cooked her something specific and seemed happy to help.

There was a noisy group of children on our floor who spent several hours running up and down the corridor laughing and shouting. Possibly we're just getting old haha. i phoned down to reception and they solved the problem. not the hotels fault, but that was all i could find to pick a little hole in.

Parking is a nightmare. The closest Ticket machine didn’t work. Took our money, no ticket. The next one is miles away and doesn’t cover the area you need. The parking app doesn’t accept non-Polish numbers. We spend an hr trying to sort this out without luck. And, apparently, similar situations happen a lot.. Much better option - park opposite the hotel where parking is private, not belonging to the city!

Super clean, comfortable bed, quiet and dark room, all very welcome. But the staff were so helpful, friendly and all of them able to add local restaurant options, book trips and taxi's from the reception. And the foyer area doubles up for a lovely comfortable seated area for an evening drink before bed. I also needed to call from the UK after coming home, as my booking cost went through twice due to having added a breakfast on one of the mornings, again no problem to the flexible, helpful staff. All sorted easily.

A suitable qty of tea bags/coffee sachets and also milk sachets too in the room. Although there is a kettle and facilities to make teas and coffee, a full family pack of coffee from one of the many convenience shops are super expensive. There were 2 of each on our arrival, but for a longer 3 night stay, a couple of extra tea bags would have been welcome. I will bring from home next time.

The room was cozy and clean. The air conditioning worked well. The mattress was comfy. The bathroom was stylish and clean. Overall my stay was very pleasant in this room, and private parking offered by the hotel is really beneficial in this crowded district.

There were dirty stains in my linen, but after calling the reception this was immediately fixed. The fridge worked a bit too loudly.

The hotel was great for us on a city break.The room was clean the bathroom was in the room with us due to the design of the room, if u stay u will get my gist, not a bad thing just unusual for us.The area around the hotel has good public transport. The staff were great, even let me leave are luggage due to arriving 4 hours before check in.Car park at night lights up when u drive in through a tunnel so u can see what your doing.Breakfast was good.We booked a room with balcony which gave us more space.On the whole everything was good. Also the hotel was busy and that is a good sign of a good hotel in my opinion.

What I did not like was the fact I did not know how to work the air con and being a man I could not be bothered to ask, instructions would be good ta

I really liked the location of the hotel which helps going to all the amenities and attractions to see. Breakfast was very good and mostly the receptionists that did my check in and check out were very outstanding and very helpful.

The only thing that I can think of is that the room was a bit small for two persons and the bed was very narrow sometimes I was afraid to fall from bed when I roll over because of how narrow it is but other then that everything was perfect

Good location - walking distance to the old town. We have booked a room for three persons and it was really spacious and big. Breakfast selection was not big but it was quite good and fresh - really worth the price. We came by car so it was important that this hotel had a secure parking space in inner yard (for additional price of course)

The amenities that were listed in a description of a room were absolutely not provided . There was no safe in the room, there were no ironing facilities at all, etc.

The room was clean, well designed and more spacious than other hotels in Krakow. The hotel really have a parking, that you can reserve prior your arrival. And it is a regular parking, not a thight spot for 4 cars. The staff was so lovely and helpful. It is definitely the best hotel I've stayed in Krakow. I recommend it to everyone.

Absolutely nothing.

The room was clean and nice and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is a great budget option. The hotel is close to the old town so perfect for exploring the city.

The location felt a little bit shady but nothing too bad. There was a bit of a dent in the bed, this didn’t bother me but my partner found it a little bit uncomfortable.
