Comfort Hotel Xpress Youngstorget

The room was clean and tidy, small but somewhat cozy. The staff was nice and always helpful with any issue or question. The price is pretty decent in comparison with other places around the city. The reception has bar where you can buy drinks, snacks, coffee (espresso), or you can get free coffee in the lobby (filtered). They have blackout curtains as in the summer you will still have light on the sky at 1a.m. :) You can also go to the rooftop of the building. The hotel is near the bars district, so you have a lot of options for drinks, coffee shops or food.

There are no furniture items, you don't have where to unpack and store you're clothes. You only have an armchair, a normal chair, and under the TV there is a hidden folding desk. The hairdryer almost caught fire one day, but I had it replaced. The drain from the shower was clogged, called the staff and they fixed it. There is no mini fridge in the room.

Fancy bed solution, great TV view, everything about the facility was practical and elegantly designed. Also great check in and out options online, could do everything myself smoothly without help, a really smart solution.

The room was overall great, but already fairly dusty when I arrived, nothing too bad though. Also I chose my room myself from a selection when checking in, which was fine of course, but the room was tagged as one with a nice street view, however the window in the room only faced a grey wall. Didn’t really spoil much on my part, but perhaps shouldn’t have been tagged as a room with a view.

Very central location, food market (the best food options in town imo) is very close and most things are walking distance away. The room was okay size, exactly what we expected. Air con/temperature control is in the room which was great as it was 30 degrees outside and we could still sleep well in normal temperature! Bed was very comfy.

I did check in online beforehand however I couldn't find any code or QR code to actually make the check-in possible on the self-check-in tablet. Definitely wasn't sent by email so had to queue regardless. Our room could be reached via the further away elevator but the instructions weren't clear from the staff at check-in so we took the wrong elevator at first - this was a bit annoying. The water from the shower seeps out a bit, nothing crazy and you can clean it up with a small towel.

This hotel is well located in the city centre with most of the tourist attractions just 10 or 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The room is spacious and the bathroom is clean with toiletries and clean linen provided. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk to Oslo Central Railway station. The staff are helpful and there is a 24 hour Cafe in the lobby.

I booked an attic room not knowing how hot it would be in the month of June in Oslo. I kept both the windows open hoping fresh air will come to aid, but Oslo is thriving with nightlife and since the hotel is located near to many pubs and bars nearby, there is inundated noise all through the night which havocked my night. Besides, tried to on the AC but wasn't working for some reason

The hotel was in a perfect location, Very close to some of the sights ( Based off Trip advisor) The hotel was really nice and it seemed a very social hotel, It has express check in and check out available too, Friendly staff and maps available on the ground floor. Lots of options for things to do.

The only real issues I would say would be the noise but I think I was just a bit unlucky on two of the nights out of four I was there. I would say in the room I was newer windows would be useful that open a little more as mine didn't open much and it was quite warm.

The hotel is within a walking distance of the central station and its location allows for an easy travel to local attractions in all directions of Oslo. Check-in and check-out were very quick and straightforward. Everything in the room was clean and fresh. Stable connection and good Wifi speed. There is a decent view from the hotel room itself and an absolutely breathtaking view across the city from the hotel's top floor (which was one of the highlights of my trip).

There was no table or a safe to lock your valuables in the room. You can't make much use of the TV as a tourist because all the 4-5 accessible channels are in Norwegian.

Really nice and cosy hotel. Very good price.

Almost impossible to work in the"work zone" in the lobby because of the lound music. I asked the lady in the receptionist if she could turn it down because I had an online call with clients. The answer: You can use your room for online calls. Not great when they even have a work zone area.

Hotel was walking distance from the Oslo main station, reception is open around the clock. Room was comparably small (we had two carry-on trolleys and two backpacks - quite tight) but therefore the stay was cheaper. Also hotel was very welcoming for luggage storage and one could hang out at the reception.

We couldn't find gym (not that we would have used it) although it was advertised - but maybe we weren't looking carefully enough. Room was small, but if you dont intend to spend most of your time in the room, it doesn't matter.

The hotel is perfectly situated in walking distance (around 15 minutes) to the major attractions such as Akershus Fortress, the Royal Palace, the Oslo National Museum and buses that can travel further to museums such as the Fram and Kon-Tiki. It is a 10 minute walk away from the train station. The staff were lovely and provided excellent recommendations for nearby food places.

My room had two giant structure beams running through it. It unfortunately meant I couldn't access the other side of the room and had to climb into bed from the base rather than side (the bed was pushed up against the wall). A bit of a strange room design.

Great location, within 10 mins walking distance of the centre! It was very quiet & had a lovely view from the room! The beds were comfortable & clean. The bathroom was spacious and shower was warm & good water pressure. We would definitely stay here again.

We couldn’t lock the door from the inside unless you took the key card out the slot. But then the lights & electric didn’t work so you couldn’t charge your phone over night. We tested it by my partner being on the other side. I locked it inside but he could open it from the other side whilst the card was in, as soon as I took it out he couldn’t open it. Found this very strange!
