Hotel Mitland

Good Hotel with nice clean rooms, Good View from balcony, Good Break Fast and Food, Comfy Beds Etc. Bowling center is next to the hotel so can be enjoyed as well, Also has few vegetarian food options.

Nothing as such which can be complained about.

view from room was excellent and peacefull. staff were very friendly

the bed - it was two single beds squished together with nothing latching them together. every night my partner and I ended up separated by the beds drifting. it was uncomfortable and disappointing. for the pricepoint the least the hotel could do is get a removable latching system to keep the beds together if you really need that level of flexibility. otherwise I would recommend investing in fully connected double, queen and king size frames and mattresses. It would greatly improve our review.

I was glad to go back to this hotel with my husband. Unfortunately, I didn't find a “Romantic suite” room on Booking, which I booked 5 years ago for our anniversary. But nevertheless, we liked the room I chose in advance. A huge advantage is that the room has a bathroom and it fills up very quickly. We were happy with the SPA, but the additional costs for bathrobes, slippers and jacuzzi were not indicated in advance, at least I didn't find information about it. A delicious restaurant! A quite large selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Despite of some small disadvantages, we had a great time in Mitland hotel! My 9th month of pregnancy is coming to an end, so I was glad to take a break from all the rush and also my husband was joyfull by given a surprise, since he didn't know that we were going to Mitland hotel. Next time the three of us will come ❤️

There was noise and loud sounds outside. Some people were arguing at night right next to our window. Poor sound insulation. Also, the shower floor was quite slippery and I almost fell down several times.

This was my 4th stay in this hotel and everything was perfect as always, staff is friendly and helpful with any questions, rooms are clean and beds are extremely comfortable. Will definitely come back.

The only thing that makes me questioning is the ventilator in the bathrom which can start working at any time and it's not clear if it's possible to turn it off. It is not that noisy that can disturb you from the sleep but maybe the bathrom doors can be a bit more soundproffed from the noises of that fan (like with using an additional rubber threshold on the bottom of the doors). It's not a big deal, but some room for improvements.

We really loved this hotel in a natural setting with the lake and lots of birds to watch from our balcony, which we were delighted to have. Great room too with coffee maker and the fridge was a real bonus. We really enjoyed using the lovely pool and other Spa facilities. We liked the open plan spacious modern contempory hotel layout. Staff were very helpful and we found the excellent secure bike storage really helpful. The bed was raised too which was great as we are tall. Would definitely come back again as we also loved Utrecht even more than Amsterdam.

It would have been nice to have more plant based / vegan options...and sadly no vegan desert. But we managed by eating out / using the supermarket. We did the vegan city tour which was great. Maybe the hotel could even buy some products from one of the local cafes / restaurants that produce vegan products as the food was amazing....the custard tarts from Life's a Peach were gorgeous and the tiramisu from Kluts were all plant based 😁

Clean modern and spacious - quick response from staff for ironing board. Sauna and pool were nice. Lockers to put stuff etc. nice shampoo and conditioners.

When you’re in a suite for four it’s four single beds in the same space. The images suggested that it was two separate rooms. The cleaning service didn’t knock and just entered the room before 9 am while we’re sleeping which was bit of a shock. They came again around 9:20 which was also strange even though I had put the sign on the door. This was on the same day we’re checking out.

Spacious, well appointed family room. The view overlooking the water and green roof. Great coffee in room. Nice indoor pool area with towels provided. Breakfast was very expensive, but excellent and the outdoor terrace of the restaurant was beautiful- we even saw kingfishers!

Bit annoyed at having to pay for parking - I would expect that to be included at an out of town hotel. The EV chargers were run by a third party company, which seemed to require club membership and were difficult to navigate as visitors to the country. Never mind, there was a FastNed not far away!

The location is beautiful with the lake and park right outside.the swimming pool is nice although you have to pay €5 for the jacuzzi, which is just for 1 person. There is bowling on site which is good fun. €33 for the 3 of us.

The food and drinks are very expensive. Starters start at €10. A bottle of still water was €5.40, on the terrace. The staff in the restaurant were quite stern and not overly friendly. One gentleman was positively rude. We were charged for 4 breakfasts on all 3 days, although on day 2, I didn't have breakfast, and I told them this on check out. Breakfast is €19.95 but is good value as the food is really good and you can eat as much as you like. Good tea, which is a bonus in Europe.

- the room is very clean and bright with a beautiful lake view - free capsules are provided daily for the in-room coffee machine - although it is relatively close to the city centre, about 20-25 minutes walking, it has quiet surroundings and lots of greenery - it was the first time since travelling, that we got a twin room, although we requested a double room, this is not necessarily a bad thing but rather funny ;)

- the doors are poorly soundproofed and it can be very noisy when cleaning in the morning (and it starts at 8.30am) or when other guests get the urge to chat in the hallway - if you are not careful, the door can close very loudly behind you and this is also disturbing for the other guests

We really liked the big park around the hotel and the possibility to park. (If you book a room directly from their website you get parking free, otherwise you need to pay). The room was clean, but much smaller than expected. The coffee machine was a nice touch, also you have a small fridge in the room. The bathroom had a bathtub and shower, and it was very clean.

Our room was next to the elevator and it was very loud.
