Court Hotel City Centre Utrecht

I loved being by the canal even though I didn’t realise that I had booked this room! So a nice surprise. The room was clean and the bed really comfortable. good facilities and surprisingly good shower. Staff were extremely nice. I opted for no room cleaning service throughout my stay, so the hotel chain could plant trees instead.

The weekend was busy and noisy above and by me. The rooms are not very sound proof to cars driving over regularly or peoples voices. Having said that, I did get used to it. The room is a small road away from the main hotel, so for breakfast it would have been necessary to get out to there.More hotels should offer this!

We LOVED the CANAL Room! Now we had no idea we booked this room as booking.com didnt say it was a "Canal" room, but we arrived and they said you are staying at the canal! For others I can see this being a problem. You have to carry your luggage down the street, down steep stairs to get into the Canal room. But, man were they SO cute! We really loved it. Felt like you were in a hobbit house, very "Netherlandsy". But, you definitely need to feel adventurous and not too picky. They also have cute chairs where you can sit outside by the canal and watch Kayakers pass. It was so adorable, something very memorable.

The Canal rooms didn't have Wifi working. For some, this could have been a major problem, for us it wasn't. Also, the hotel should really communicate to guests "before" they arrive that they are getting the "canal" room. If you have a disability or an injury, you will be unable to get to/from that room. This could be a major issue for people. For others, like us, it's a selling point! They just need better communication to those assigned to those rooms.

It was a super unique room (canal room) with plenty of character that matched the location which is what I was after. Very spacious, comfortable, clean and modern. I loved the little living room area and the whole layout and design. It was pretty quiet and peaceful to stay in which is also what I was after.

I don't know if any more could be done about it, but due to the nature of the room it lacks ventilation and air flow even with both of the little fan units on. It was fine during the day but a bit too stuffy for me to sleep soundly. Also, there were quite a lot of bugs in the room and when people in the rooms beside smoked it came in through the door and filled the whole room even with everything shut including the curtain on the door. These things didn't ruin my stay at all, I still really enjoyed staying there, but they were a part of the experience I thought I'd be honest and share!

Charming boutique hotel in an excellent location, near all the action but on a quiet street. Staff were invariably gracious and helpful; they did their best to get me an early check-in after my sleepless flight. I had a canal room a block away from hotel. Comfortable and quiet if a little dark. The great thing was feeling like part of the neighborhood, sitting out on the canal watching people kayak by and observing artists at a sculpture studio down the way. Good breakfast with variety and excellent coffee. Highly recommend!

location was perfect for where I needed to be: in Centre, near station. Staff was very friendly, room was clean, well-equipped with water boiler and tea, bed was comfortable, breakfast was very nice.

noisy…windows couldn’t open for ventilation, yet were badly isolated, so sounds from outside were loud. Didn’t like the glass partition between bathroom and bedroom: I like leaving on a light in the bathroom during the night (to be able to find the bathroom in the middle of the night); but that shouldn’t be shining into the bedroom….

Nice old building in the centre of town. Good breakfast option. Very convenient to be able to get a glass of wine or cup of tea in the restaurant downstairs. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and nicely decorated rooms. Nice bedding.

The lighting in the room is great for a romantic couple but too dark if you want to read or be able to apply makeup. Same with the bathroom. Electric outlets are all in the cupboard under the TV or on the desk - none in any proximity to the bed.

Great location, phone-based room lock is convenient, rooms are clean and conveniently sized. You get 2 different pillows to choose from. (a softer and a harder one)

Even though there is an ironing board in the room, it is quite small and difficult to use for shirts. Steam iron needs to be requested from reception, however the one I got was broken.

Great location in the heart of the old city. Easy fast check in and remote check out.

Wifi was too weak in our room for some devices. Noisy neighbors outside playing music all day/night, but it is in a denser part of town so not surprising.

Good morning buffet, with good selection of both bread, yoghurt and cereals. Location close the to city center, Short distance if coming by train Parking house less than 250 from the hotel (€35 per day)

I have visited the Court Hotel on several occasions, because of the great location. Unfortunately this visit, did not meet my normal expectations for the hotel. The cleaning of the room was not satisfactory and they didn't replace a light bulb on the bedside (claiming they did not have a spare bulb). I talked to the very friendly front desk, and they explained some challenges with getting staff, in order to deliver the normal quality of service. Despite thus minor flaw during this visit, I would not hesitate in coming back to this hotel.

Due to covid all meals need to be consumed in the hotel room, so when I opened the door, the table was already nicely set. Very nice surprise! The staff is very nice!

The breakfast was a little cold (due to covid needed to have the breakfast in the room).
