Hart van Leiden is strategically located on the Oude Singel, close to both the city centre and Leiden Centraal Station. My room was on the top floor, big and cosy, with a comfortable bed, fridge, kettle and coffee machine. A table, armchair, sofa and a large wardrobe completed the pieces of furniture, while the room offered a nice view of the canal. Overall, the hotel is very well taken care of and squeaky clean, so it was easy to feel at home. Monique was a very friendly host, with always a kind word for guests. Hart van Leiden is strongly recommended for anyone visiting Leiden as well as Amsterdam.

The indication "luxe suite" is certainly not a misnomer. The room is all that you could expect. Comfortable beds, plenty of room, practical desk for work and another small table to lounge at. Ample of closet space for longer stays and good jacuzzi both and a shower as well. An additional small bed in there for a child. While it is rather centrally located (some 10 minutes walk to the train station or 10 minutes walk to down town), it is still located in a quiet neighbourhood while overlooking the "Oude Singel" canal. Monique was very helpful and flexible in setting up an appointment to check in, although I arrived late. She also gave very useful tips on breakfast places in the neighbourhood. Leaving me some water and drinks in the fridge was a nice touch as well. I can surely recommend a stay at B&B Hart van Leiden, but please leave some days open for when I hope to come back :)

The was really nothing to complain about.

Very large clean room with fridge and kettle & coffee machine. Separate bathroom /toilet very clean..beds were very comfortable.

Room At top of building. Three flights of twisting stairs. Difficult for single traveller of advanced age who walks with a stick. As I was taking my luggage down the stairs to leave I slipped down a few stairs because of low light early morning. Fortunately I was not injured but it could have been a disaster Could have included a microwave

B&B Hart van Leiden was the perfect home away from home while I was in Leiden for a conference. Close enough to everything in town, with a friendly welcome and a large room to relax in. Monique is a wonderful host, I would absolutely stay here again if I come back to Leiden. The room was large, clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had both a shower and huge bath to enjoy at the end of the day.

it was very hot when I was there and only one window was able to be opened. also given the name of the place I thought it would be bed and breakfast, but breakfast not included however tea, coffee and a fridge was.

Close to town. Cool and comfy. Host is wonderful. Would return.

There are 2 apartments in the building, which can be locked from the inside, but not the outside. Building front entrance is secure, but you don’t know who is in the other apartment.

B&B Hart Leiden was a perfect place to stay. Very central to everything and ideal for what we needed while here. Our host was very pleasant and friendly, had some cold drinks in the fridge and very easy to communicate with when needed.

Nothing that we can think of, was perfect for our needs.

Extremely nice room in a historical house along the river in Leiden, very comfortable and tastfully decorated. The owner was thoughtful and welcomed us with local beer and snacks, very appreciated after a day cycling from Den Haag to Leiden. She also kept our bags in the lobby the day after, so that we could conveniently visit the city. I totally recommend B&B Hart van Leiden !

I stayed here for one night with my wife and little kid. Everything was perfect, the room was bigger than we imagined, the breakfast was delicious and we liked the hot bath with bubbles a lot. All in all it was a very pleasant experience and we wish to return there someday

A lock on the door to the room was not very comfortable to use

The accomodation was spotlessly clean, and the beds were really comfortable. There room was bright and airy and the view was spectacular. Easy location for neighbouring cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Haag.

There was nothing that needed to be changed for my stay, I felt incredibly welcome and felt I could have asked for anything I needed.
