Hotel Restaurant de Jonge Heertjes

Having lost my passport and being unable to fly home, I booked the hotel 30mins before I arrived. Expected a single room, as lone traveller on business, but had a twin on arrival. I was welcomed with a huge smile and a reassuring manner by a lovely young lady. I had a few drinks in the bar, which had great music and a chilled atmosphere and met the owner(?) Danny..... What a gent! Top man, offered me some food (kitchen was closed), offered me a room for as long as needed etc. Basically helped me realise I was OK. Top guy, top bar, recommended.

Only bad thing was no Tea facilities in the room.... I am English lol.

Slept here because it is close to Schiphol and the parking we booked. There is a huge parking in front. Be aware: during the day, you van only park for 1,5 hours, you will need a so called blue card (blauwe schijf). Easy acces: had to call on arrival to get the code for the key safe at the door. Room is big enough, bathroom fine. Beds were excellent. We did not take breakfast, so don't know about that.

It was a cold night, -3 celcius, and we could not get the room warm and comfortable. A suggestion for checking in: e-mail the code for the key safe in advance, in case people cannot call without wifi.

lovely, friendly, very helpful staff, though - due to the personnel shortage - not always present. for the same reason there was no breakfast on-site, though it was possible to buy a voucher for a breakfast in a hotel nearby (no experience). the place was perfect for the money, amsterdam was quite easily reachable by bus and train within 45 minutes, the village itself was cute and lively in summer, by a lake, on a cycling route. we didn't spend much time in the hotel, so the smaller size of the room didn't matter and the beds were excellent. very good value for money close to amsterdam, and very handy to reach the airport.

The single room was very small (as advertised) but clean, very good bed, and a newly renovated bathroom that was modern and clean. Good location with ample restaurants and food options around (Lidl across the street). Wifi was about 10 up and 10 down and more than sufficient for essential internet and streaming. The guy that checked me in was polite and efficient. Very close to Schipol. Hint - if you're using Uber or Bolt, make sure to give them 15-20 minutes to show up, especially early in the morning. It's really a fine place if you're just looking to crash for a night before an early flight.

The only real issue was that my room was right above the backdoor to the restaurant, where the staff come out for their cigarette breaks. I could not keep the window open without the room quickly smelling like an ashtray. Also - there is no lift so if you have issues with stairs you might want to skip this. Also, no real workspace to fit even a laptop, so it might be a challenge if you had to do a lot of work and needed space. Also, an electronic kettle would have been nice.

- lovely woman that checked us in and called to give directions incase our flight made us late - THE DUVETS WERE LIKE CLOUDS - very clean in the bathroom and bedroom - tv had good quality and also channels in english we only stayed one night due to it being a layover but would definitely stay here again for a holiday!!!

We are visiting de Jonge Heertjes for more than 10 years now, every year. It was always a pleasant visit. All of the staff are really friendly and helpful. The restaurant is really delicious. You can taste perfect local and international food. The ambient is very nice! It is very close to the Schipol Airport (less than10 minutes away by car) and to the Amsterdam City Centre (about 25 mins by car)

Good location to supermarket, bus stop, restaurants and airport. It's a very peaceful town. I'm glad I didn't stay in Amsterdam but chose this town. Staff were very helpful.

There is no lift so customers need to be aware of this before booking. They will have to carry luggage along stairs. I was on the first floor and there is an upper floor.

The place is a little 80s, but I loved it. The staff was friendly and professional. The only criticism I have is that the toiletries were from a soap dispenser and there wasn't a hair dryer, but who cares when a hotel that adorable!!!

The soap and shampoo are very basic.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They spoke English which was a great help and went out of their way to make things easy for us.

The pillows were very soft and I need fairly thick pillows to support my neck so an extra pillow would have been nice!!!

A good hotel option if you are looking for a place to stay near the airport. The price-quality ratio of the hotel is good and the hotel had everything needed for one night. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean

I didn't expect anything special, so nothing to complain about.
