Hotel Pao

Not a large place. Within walking distance of the central tourist sites if you're under 40. Close to tramway if you want to take it easy. It's close to the riverside and a nice morning walk. There are some translations on site but I didn't learn about the laundry until I spotted a washing machine icon, details only in japanese, in the lift. I've suggested they add this in English. But the staff are on deck 24/7. That's because they want you to turn in your room key every time you leave the building. I just ignored that bit.

The only criticism I could think of was the translation thing. You're on booking.com. we assume that's so you can target a wider cohort of potential customers. So act like it and get more multi- lingual. That's probably the arrogance of having only one language but if I was French or Swiss, it'd be good to have the hotel focused on communication. It makes people feel like you are customer focused.

Super friendly and helpful staff who did everything they could to swap me a smoking room to non-smoking (which I booked by mistake). Great location with walking distance to the train station (20 mins)

Room decour is outdated (80s) and could use an update.

A massage parlor across the street has a flashing light all night that lights up my room like a strobe. I was on the fourth floor, so it didn't keep me awake, but was terribly annoying.

Good location close to train station, tram stops, walkable to lots of things to do, shops, and restaurants. Clean comfortable room that are a good size for Japanese hotels

Internet was patchy on the 10th floor

Excellent for the price. Helpful stuff. All the expected facilities. Located approximately half-way between the Station and the Museum (whether it is good or bad, decide on your own).

The wifi was dropping out occasionally...

I loved how quiet it was! nice staff, room was clean, bed was decently comfortable.

A nice hotel to stay at in Hiroshima. Not too far from most tourist places. The staff were very helpful and kind.

It’s right next to the club district which I didn’t realise when I booked. It wasn’t a huge problem though

The hotel is located close to the streetcar station that goes to the Hiroshima station and the main areas. It is close to the shopping district as well, with many restaurants near by.

The location for nightlife is the best. Also shopping during the day. It's a 13 minutes walk from airport shuttle service.

The bed was soft in the middle. Hard bed around the edges

Staff were exceptionally nice and understanding

Was just very noisy as we were in a room next to the elevator, and as it is an older building there is not much sound proofing.
