Park Hotel Ville Montefiori

Majestic building with a wonderful view of the lake, perfect location! Quiet and relaxing area, fit perfect for couples and families. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, very convenient and large car park. Breakfast with a wide choice and restaurant worthy of a 5 star hotel. The rooms are cosy and although the bathroom is perhaps a little small, they are well furnished. I’m sad for such a short stay, it deserves a second visit.

I was really delighted to discover this hotel and, after two separate visits off season, I decided to take 20 plus rooms for 35 friends and family to join me in celebrating my birthday. Everyone loved it. The management and staff were so helpful, patient and flexible to accommodate our ever changing needs. The setting is stunning, the spa was fantastic and all the beds were super comfy. Hand painted murals and details everywhere you look. Some of the rooms are quirky so if you are looking for a sterile identikit chain hotel, this isn't for you. Full of character, some of the standard Romantic category rooms might be a little bigger or more modern than others, but all are comfy, reasonably priced and fit for purpose. The lake view and luxury rooms offer something more impressive, so upgrade if you want something fancier. There are multiple areas to host private dinners or events in and great indoor and outdoor pools that aren't heavily chlorinated like many are. The hotel allowed us to bring in external caterers to collaborate with their hotel as I had particular chefs I wanted to use and the hotel and restaurant staff worked well and efficiently with them. Gardone Riviera is really charming. There is a small public beach that is easily accessible down the hill and over the road with the clearest water to swim in with some fantastic restaurants along the promenade, there is a fun piano bar discoteca at Torre San Marco if you want some lively evening entertainment. There are some botanical gardens and other sights to visit, but sadly we didn't have time to check those out this time, but hope to when we return. We all loved this hotel. Family run like the nicest hotels are, it had a personal feeling and we were welcomed like family. We will most certainly return.

We liked it all!

The hotel itself is stunning. We went at the height of summer when everything was blooming. Truly worth it just for the view of the lake and enjoying the grounds. We only stayed for one night so did not manage to take advantage of the pool, but it looked really good. The hotel is located up a hill, so the views from the grounds and restaurant blew our mind. The downside of this is if you do not have a car you'll need to walk up the hill from town.

The overall cleanliness of the room we were in was not exactly spotless. A bit dusty, and I noticed that in the bathroom there were mites on the ground. There were complimentary soaps for the bidet and shower, but one of the bidet soap bottles was half used so we didn't touch them. The shower has a small shelf for your things but it just immediately fills up with water so it was a bit dubious. We stayed in some of the cheaper rooms located downstairs.

Beautiful views of Lake Garda, (if the correct room is selected.) Elegantly decorated, inside and particularly outside. Lovely indoor pool. (Outside pool not open, mid May, but poor and unseasonal weather, so understandable.) Excellent breakfast. Good value. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent wine available too.

Paid extra to have our room upgraded, as first room with “lake view” was disappointing, and very impressed once we were. Very accommodating staff. Outdoor pool, and second restaurant not open, as pre-season. Just something to be aware of.

The views in the early morning and late evening from the top terrace were sublime. Staff were attentive, and the restuarant prices were oddly competitive. Rooms were clean

The hotel prides itself on the individuality of the rooms, so if you have a shower in one, you may not have one in another. Some other guests seemed to find that annoying. The walk up the hill to the hotel from the lakeside is a challenge, but that's the price of stunning views across the bay.

Reception women very kind, got a welcome juice, nice pool, nice room

The man who gave the juice was not kind, not smiling any moment, didn't offer help with the suitcases, the place is very old and needs a serious renovation: only half of the lights in indoor pool work, mirror damaged, very very old bathroom, the tax is a lot when you order in the restaurant! It's 5 euros per person per night, the highest we got from all Italy and it's nowhere written!

Very nice view over the lake from our room. Nice restaurant (with good wines and service...) and terrace, good indoor pool (and outdoor but it was closed), huge nice garden... Huge potential to feel better !

Very limited menu for lunch/dinner (even breakfast in days when it was a-la-carte), a little bit far from the lake promenade and magazines, staff not enough careful (sorry... even I received a chipper bottle of italian red wine to keep my mouth... but I prefer to be honest ... even I wish to come back next year !)

We just left after after a delicious 5 day stay in the second half of June 2022. It was our first proper break for 3+ years and the choice couldn't have been better: We quite literally basked in beauty. The hotel and its grounds were overflowing with colours, fragrance and gorgeous views. The staff was lovely, helpful and kind. We could tell that everyone working in the gardens, the kitchen, at the pool, the reception desk and the restaurant are very invested in taking good care of the place and its guests. We had one of the Tower rooms which was small but pretty and spotless, including the bathroom The air-con did a great job bringing relief from very hot temperatures. Our room and all lake facing rooms have their own outdoor patio to enjoy the breath-taking view over Lago di Garda and are surrounded by lemon trees, oleander, palm trees and Bougainvillea. We also very much enjoyed the cuisine: Every morning we had breakfast at the Restaurant D'Annunzio. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious and if anything was missing the lovely staff would take of it at once. Twice we came for dinner and several times we had lunch at the pool, all equally delicious. All in all a feast for the senses and perfect for a romantic time-out with good price-quality balance. I should add that we're well aware that 2 years of Covid have been hard for a family-owned hotel such as Ville Montefiori. I'm glad they survived thus far and am happy to support them with our holiday and hope other guests will do the same. We loved every second and will be back for sure. (Be prepared to climb some stairs, but it's worth it!)

That we had to leave after 5 days!

very Nice place to stay. we read here on booking.com that others remarked that the hotel was not up to date. That was not at all what we experienced. the hotel is very much up to date - and all facilities seems new.

food and drink prices are a little on the expensive side. we had a suite with the most beautifull view. We experienced though that the shower was on and off with the hot water. I must admit that we didnt address This to the staff, but if you read it now (hotel staff) - This is the last part of the puzzle that Will make a stay totalt flawless - and a super experience at the same time😊
