Bella Vista Hotel & Self Catering Suites

What a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating. As there was no lift the receptionist carried our bags to the room. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, kettle with tea and coffee and a box of After Eight mints were in the room for us. The view was wonderful, we could see the Church and the sea from our window. Staff were helpful in pointing out things to do and see in the area. Ate dinner in the Chinese restaurant on site - excellent meal. Breakfast was also very good, with a number of options including a full Irish. Had help in bringing luggage down as well, were allowed to leave our car while we continued to explore Cobh. Came back one last time and asked if we could have a pot of tea before we left, and they provided tea and scones in a matter of minutes although it was outside of regular dining hours. Would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely stay again.

We will always remember our stay at the Bella Vista hotel with fondness. It was our wedding anniversary. We were welcomed by a very nice gentleman at the reception who led us to a room that turned out to be a beautiful stylish apartment with a separate kitchen and a balcony with a beautiful view of the sea and Cobh. We booked a room with a lower standard, so our surprise was huge. It was a wonderful gift for us from the hotel . The hotel has a stylish bar where you can spend the evening in a pleasant atmosphere. Nice dining room with great service ensures tasty and very hearty meals. The stay at the Hotel Bella Vista was special. Thank you very much for the nice and professional service and see you because we already have our great hotel in Cobh. We recommend it to everyone.

The receptionists were friendly and when we arrived our suitcase was carried to the room. The bar staff were great and loved to chat. The Asian food in the restaurant was good. The junior suite was spacious with a great view of the cathedral, cork harbour and spike island. We enjoyed having a drink on the balcony with great views in the evenings. The lady serving breakfast on the Wednesday of our trip was friendly and ran the breakfast service efficiently

The only bit of our visit we weren't 100% happy with, was the breakfast service on the Monday and Tuesday mornings. Our hot food was brought out on both mornings before we had finished our cereal

Kevin, the cleaning crew, the hospitality staff all were top notch. It was clean peaceful and a breathtaking view in #205. Kitchen was adequately equipped.

The stairs haha... but they were worth the view. The desk concierge carried my HEAVY cases up the 2 flights ... so grateful for that. The bfast IS WORTH the small price. Full Irish, great coffee fresh fruits 2 kinds of juices and milk cereal,scones croissants, pastries... so hard to choose

The location is great! The Chinese restaurant on site is very good. And the staff is excellent.

The room was very stuffy. Fortunately there was a fan to blow the warm air around and be a good white noise for the noise of the kitchen nearby. The restaurant is very echoey due to no softening touches. I would’ve laid out two long decorative rugs and dialed down the elevator music a couple of notches to make the ambiance fit the beautiful setting.

The staff was so helpful and accommodating. I wanted to order a birthday cake for my partner and Samuel arranged that for me before we arrived. He had been friendly and helpful, and catered to all our requests. We got an upgrade too and got a room at the top with sea view. The hotel had a bar which was really good and we spent a good bit of time over there as well. All local attractions were just 10 mins walk away.

The hotel was missing lift and it's challenging for older people to go up and down with their luggages. Also, found it slightly over priced. However, everything else was amazing and we really liked our stay.

The staff were lovely, reception, restaurant, cleaners the whole lot. Food was great. Service top notch and the location was great too👌🏼

Very little honestly must only be the hill, some climb if you're travelling by foot, but worth it! If I was to nick pick the lip in the shower could've been a little larger as the water splashes out no big deal put out a towel where the glass end and youll be slip free other than that excellent.

The view was great. We found many things to see and do there. Lots of history. Lots of food options. Staff was very helpful. Our goal for the trip was for our kids and Grandchildren to see what Ireland and the people of Ireland are like and we felt like this was a good place to find those things.

The only downside is that the property is on a side of a rather big hill. We had a Transit Van and parking was a bit of a challenge in the parking lot. They had a parking lot which was a bonus. Everything could always be better but to find anything else wrong would be nit picking.

Nice clean hotel , excellent service from all the staff especially Hassan who made a coffee to take on my early start (4.15am) to Dublin excellent breakfast plenty of choices

The only thing I would pick at and it is a nit pic . the hotel restaurant is a Chinese at night the food is excellent but limited European choice, if your not a Chinese food fan this could be a problem for you. Also the dining room is closed on a Wednesday evenings so you have to go else where to eat but plenty of restaurants down in the town.

View was amazing from our balcony we did have a dog with us , plenty to do in cobh but not so much places you can bring dog with you , Kelly's pub let us bring him in so we had a few drinks there but for a family away for a few days plenty to do highly recommend it, fota wildlife park, boat over to spike island , titanic museum, plenty walking even with all the hills I managed and my breathing wouldn't be the best I'm 48 , Cobh is very picturesque place , we did a titanic walking tour and it was very insightful to alot we dident know, I really enjoyed cobh , we brought the dog to marlouge forest park its lovely for a walk .

I tought there would be alot more places to eat outside for may especially having the dog with us , definitely the business for it , we ate in the quays bar one evening food is good but not amazing which is the impression I got about it from reviews
